I used to produce mucc in Europe several times, the highlight being the wacken festival in Germany in the early 2000, they weren’t as big as they are now but they are really true artists, I worked with them on their 666 album and haven’t seen them since they became really big but I’m always emotional to see people react to their music 🥲

Mucc (Japanese: ム ッ ク, Hepburn: Mukku, officially romanized as MUCC)
In about 2 hours their concert with Nemophila in Fukuoka begins as part of the NEMOPHILA Zepp Tour 2022.
Apparently, the girls persuaded the members of the bands they will play with on the tour to play together. Nemophila recently covered MUCC-Ranch, a very good cover.

Nemophila has a cool Mucc cover and is performing live with them today!
I wish I could actually go to each of Nemophila's Zepp shows. Not just because of Nemophila but all of their 2 man guests are super stellar.

I always comment that Band Maid’s interpretation of “Honey” should be listened to, and that’s how I discovered MUCC. What a fantastic band they are ! The singer has this excellent, smooth crooner of a voice, yet he can also do this deep death metal scream thing, and he’s been doing for a long time. The other 3 are top notch musicians. They have many great songs. Your review is spot on.

Dang, I've heard some of their heavier stuff, but live really does hit different. I was coming here ready to comment about how the vocalist sings with so much personality, but after listening to the whole thing, even the instrumentals had a surprising amount of unique character to them.
This song is a journey and I loved being on it. MIUCC is a fascinating and tragic band.

Yay more mucc reaction! This recording was from their 15th anniversary concerts in 2012 iirc. The Song itself is from the Album zekuu one of their early ones.
They really do all sorts of Rock music from really soft stuff (Alpha) to really heavy Metal (nuritsubusu nara enji). As to the Korn influence you pick up on, you're right on the money. The guy are (or at least were) big fans of korn.
They are such a blast live (the energy levels).
1997 or crazy drive are stuff I would say is more punkish.
Just like you, i'm not very familiar with MUCC so this song caught me by surprise... i expect something more punk-rock but hey, i'm not complaining!, they sound great live

Big no-nonsense dirty metal concert with participating crowd. This is almost run-of-mill in Japan. The singer's lyrics are actually easy to catch-understand, meaning no hiding behind gargle!😁
