I cannot wait to see the Subrosa pumpkin on your incredible fabric! You have such great taste in charts, your dyeing is amazing and the finishing ideas are so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us.
Michelle, you’ve done an amazing job on your beautiful fully finished pieces, really they are just so beautiful!!! When you were showing us your dyed fabrics, the one specifically you called the “combat rag”, the first thing that came to me was your Halloween chart from The Blackberry Rabbit, I just think it would look gorgeous on that fabric! 💚
I loved the dark orange fabric. Can't wait to see the Black Pumkin stitched up. I have the Drawn Thread's Pastoral on my wish list so I am excited to watch your progress.
Wow you have been busy. Love all your finishes and your fabric dying is just amazing. Your videos are jam packed with lots of great information, thank you for taking the time to make them. Stay safe and happy stitching.

Thank you for your video. I believe you wre mentioned on Barbara's daughter, and another flosstube, but the name escapes me. So I always start with #1 and watch them in order. Finally caught up. Love all that you've shown, we have alot of the same taste. Interesting fabric dying, I enjoyed that. I've just coffee and tea dyed fabric. Your accent is very soothing. I'm in Chicagoland, so fortunately have access to 4 or so LNS's. Take care and happy stitching! Oh. And my recommendation for you as far as flosstubers, Deb and Liz, Country Stitchers. When I found them a little more than a year ago, I went back and watched them from the beginning. They're awesome!
All of your pieces are fabulous! I especially love the pumpkin one in the black tray. Beautiful! Your fabrics are awesome, too! Thank you for sharing the freebie finds. Those are so nice to have, and I am thinking about trying out Readly. Thank you for that suggestion, too. Please don't apologize about your dog snoring! I heard him before you said anything, and I knew that was what it was, and I LOVE IT! I am a dog person, so I love knowing other stitchers' 4-legged buddies are nearby! I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your time and talent!
Lovely finishes and haul...I’m going to buy some Rit dye and get some bright colors. I have coffee tea dyed and used some old dye from my canvas painting days, and can add Rit and see what happens. You sure accomplished lots during your lockdown. Your videos are so enjoyable!
Another superb duper fantastic video! Your hand dyed fabrics are beautiful and I love your witch in the purple dress! And those little owls are so cute. I visited the Cotswolds years ago and we stayed in Bourton on the Water. We went to a lovely restaurant in Stow on the Wold....I think it was called Hamiltons. I wonder is it still there? That Rosewood Manor chart is gorgeous and I may have to buy it. Looking forward to your next video Michelle. Thanks for brightening a dull Tuesday here in Northern Ireland! 😍
Hi Sharon! It is still there but it’s called The Old Butchers now. I’m not sure if it’s still owned by the same people. I can’t wait to start Bayliwick ...I think I’m going to kit it up at the end of this week 😀
Love seeing all your projects. Was watching your video with snoring in stereo, my dog decided to snore along with Albus. Stay safe and hopefully the lockdown works and doesn't have to be extended as ours in Melbourne was. Just coming out of lockdown after 17 weeks today and it feels strange.
Well now you've gone and gotten yourself in deep trouble! This video was so jam packed with amazing stuff That is going to be hard to ever do won this great again! The finishes we're just sweet sweet sweet! The free That is going to be hard to ever do 1 this great again! The finishes we're just sweet sweet sweet! The freebies were really nice! I loved them! Keep having fun experimenting, because when you do ........we sure reap the benefits! Stay Well, Cathy A
Beautiful finishes and fabrics Michelle. I’m always very impressed with your ability to find things in TK Maxx and Home Bargains and then re-imagine and repurpose it for your projects! Well done you!
What a great job you did with your finishes! And thank you for so much information about dyeing with the procion and other dyes! I’m considering dyeing fabric myself!
Oh my gosh your dyed fabric with Something Wicked this way comes stitched on it will be absolutely fantastic!! Would love a rainy day....big winds today here in Southern California! Enjoyed todays visit! Be well!.
Enjoyed your video this morning, Michelle. Lovely finishes and wips. I'm up to date with the Barbara Ana as well, and agree, it's one of the nicest stitches of the year. I'm planning to stitch a few of the segments individually as cards because I can't quite bear to say goodbye to stitching it, lol.
Just showing off now with all you FFO’s missus!! They look amazing! Really love all your fabric dyeing - especially that “not murky”! You should sell them in your Etsy! Xx
Oh my, I adore love love love all your projects and ideas. Your pieces are absolutely stunning. I have very much the same taste as you it seems, and I find that quite rare in most videos. I love all your videos and never miss one. Thank you so much for sharing your time and your beautiful projects.
Love, love, love all your finishes!!! Your dyed fabrics are amazing!! They look professional and lovely!! It’s always lovely spending time with you! Looks like you have some great projects to keep you out of trouble during lockdown! Happy stitching!
From an epic fail to a great piece of fabric...can’t wait to see something stitched on your “combat cloth”. You’ve been busy with all the finishes. They are all beautiful. My walnut crystals came last Tuesday, but I haven’t tried dyeing yet. It has snowed most of the day. My husband said with snow starting in October it was not boding well for winter. Take care.
Oh Albus...how I love thee. The most precious dog (next to my McNally - the sweetest Cairn in the world). Your Barbara Ana is GORGEOUS. I MUST STITCH IT. I started using Readly after your last flosstube. I’ve been thinking about it for ages and It’s great! How glorious to be in rainy Wales and cross stitch. I’ll get there again someday. Take care, Sally in Northern California
I love spending time watching your videos. You get some much done! I’ve made a list and will be ordering tomorrow! Your dyed fabrics look great, especially the murky knockoff. Enjoy your time at home, can’t wait to see your next video!
I know what you mean about seeing things differently on fabrics. I bypassed Penny Autumn until I saw your finish on murky. I started it myself like that. I just found a cute pattern on Owl Forest - than you for the link - that will also look great on murky that I can hang with Penny Autumn. I love your channel! Thank you for making videos that keep us focused on stitching and not the rest of the negative stuff going on in the world right now.
your finishes are just amazing! So beautiful. I love your channel. Your voice is so soothing and your content is very good. You are inspiring me to try dying some fabrics. I stitch embroidery only, but so enjoy seeing your cross stitch flosstubes.
I LOVE watching your video’s!! I’ve really enjoyed learning about fabric dyes and I’m thinking I’m about to experiment with some dyes myself. So thank you!!
Hello! I found your channel from Elizabethanncanstitch. She mentioned how beautiful your Santa’s Trip pattern is. I’m looking forward to watching your videos. Greetings from Texas!
I love watching your video and see what you are working on. I stitch what I want when I want😊. I enjoy seeing different patterns being shown on IM and UA-cam. It is refreshing to see U.K. women stitching so many beautiful pieces that I’ve not seen. The color of your dyes are scrumptious and look forward to more dyed pieces. Did any of the fabric shrink ? See you again.
Hi Sharon. I've never gone back and remeasured the fabric. It doesn't feel like it because the dye is cold when you use it - usually its the heat in the dyeing process that causes the shrinkage
Wow! You’re like a finishing machine. They turned out lovely. Can’t wait to see your new starts next time. Hopefully, lockdown means more stitching time.
Thank you for another great video you are so informative. I’ve signed up with Readly and it’s fantastic. I just love the Baltimore Album by Carolyn Manning it’s a definite must. Your finishes are so good! But oh dear you are an enabler but everything you do is so tempting!!
Those finishes are simply gorgeous in every way. I love the idea of using velvet as the back fabric & that’s exactly what I want to do. Thank you so so much for sharing all the other fantastic stuff and teaching about the dying process & dye suggestions. The free designs are amazing , thanks for the heads up on them.
Great job on your finishes and dyeing all those lovely fabrics!! As another person commented...you should sell the fabulous fabrics in your etsy shop! Have a geat week. Hugs
Thank you Michelle for your update video. Gosh you have stitched up a storm and beautiful finishes. I am using a Sulky blendable on pandemic, inspired by Brenda and it is so lovely to work with. The expense or not expense was excellent compared to silk . I ordered from Sulky here in the UK and it came in a day so I was really impressed, their customer service was lovely. I would definitely buy more from them. Walnut shells for stuffing sounds an excellent idea are they easy to source? Love Santa's trips, looks lovely and colourful. Stay safe and well.
Your finished projects are wonderful. I also really enjoyed your dyeing tutorial, and your recent dyed fabrics are beautiful. You inspire me to get some more projects started. I am not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing! ☺️
Great finishes and I love your dyed fabrics!! I am seriously considering starting the FE sampler (or is it EF?) with you on January first!! I am going to try and kit it up. Happy stitching 🧵 hugs Debbie
I just love every one of your Flosstubes! So much diversity in your stitching. I’m thinking I need to make some hanging pillows myself, thanks for the inspiration. The Sub Rosa witch, can you tell me where you found that pattern. I’m thinking she might be worthy of hanging up Year round!
Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful stitcheries! I am impressed with your bravery and abilities to dye your own linen!!! What linen do you use as a base fabric? They are all gorgeous! There are certainly some bonuses to lockdown. I completed four quilts and got involved with floss tube and stitching to an obsessed degree.
I've tried quite a few brands of linen but I prefer to stitch on zweigart so thats what I use to dye with. I've made a quilt top but not actually got around to quilting it yet!
I want to say thanks for sharing the freebies every week. I’m definitely going to try out readly it looks like a great deal to me. I’ve just got to figure out if I want to do UK magazines or American ones😂😂. Love everything you show and do. Love the sweet jar idea just brilliant
Well that was a bumper episode full of lovely finishes and lots of goodies. Thanks for sharing 😍 don’t apologise for snoring dog noises 😊one podcast I watch We have to take a break while her big dog has a drink the noises go on forever. Always makes me laugh.
Love love love all your finishes, Michelle! And you achieved such great results dyeing fabrics! All I've tried so far was coffee or tea on a couple of pieces. One thing I have to ask you is if you rinse them until no ink residues on water before you hang them to dry. I'm always concerned about eventual need to wash a stitched piece. Oh my, and your haul, so many great charts!
Love your videos & your projects. You should order the sulky threads from Sulky UK. They are incredibly fast. My last order I put in early one morning (before 7) & it came the next day.
Hi there, really love your videos! Where do yo find the 2020 charms, please? Haha, cute mouse story 😁 Your stitching and wonderful finishes are so inspiring. I love the witch’s red dress. Gorgeous! Omg, the dachshund pattern is to die for!
Hi Michelle! I heard Brenda (Handworkmaniac) give your channel a shout out and decided to come and take a look. Now, here I am 7 videos later! I loved all the videos - you’re a natural! I was interested to read about Chris at the Nimble Thimble. I had a piece framed there (brilliantly framed!) quite a few years ago but had forgotten about the shop until I watched your last video. I can’t really go there these days as I don’t drive but would like to find Chris on EBay. I did try tanat2 in the search but couldn’t find anything so was wondering if you could help with a link. Thanks so much. Greetings from mid Wales! 🏴
Hi Lynette This is a link to one of her items, you can search the other things she has and save her as a seller from there! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333762542366
What a great video thanks for all your inspiration and beautiful stitches! For your piece that honored your father using sulky thread, did you use one thread or two for that beautiful coverage?
I can’t wait to see a procion dye video. I’ve used those with a quilting friend. She does classes using and mixing fuchsia, turquoise and yellow on quilting cotton but look forward to seeing what you do with some other of the colors I know the soda ash can be drying on your hands. 😳 Thanks for the inspiration and information. Stay well.
It is in the Fall 2020 edition of Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher magazine which is an online subscription. 4 magazines per year but really well worth it!
Thanks for the nice visit Michelle...your fabric dying is awesome...beautiful finishes...amazing patterns...be safe too...happy stitching and dying❤️
I love the idea of hanging pillows!!! You are so right that we run out of surfaces for our stitching!

Take care.
Thats funny - my partner keeps on about how cold this winter is going to be!
You don’t have to decide between UK or American....you get them all! Definitely check it out 😀
Handbags are beautiful!
Love the hanging pillow. I’m going to try that.
What do you do with your FFOs. Do you have sampler walls? Your camouflage fabric is stunning !
Thanks! I bought them from a seller on Etsy
Just one thread of sulky. It’s a 12 weight thread so one strand is about 2 strands of DMC
Stay well.
Coming soon! I just need to get a day with some half decent light!
I'm from Wales as well but I live in Cardiff which is in the south
Love how you used the sponged linen for the SubRosa design. Would you be able to tell me where to locate that particular chart?
It is in the Fall 2020 edition of Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher magazine which is an online subscription. 4 magazines per year but really well worth it!
That is a number of FFOs!!! 7?!!
