Thumbs up Mike. The weatherman has no idea when it's going to do anything. I like the GPS on your planter setup. At the end of the day when the operator goes home the technology and years of experience of planting go with him. Can't beat that it's Priceless or PRICE less
Congrats on getting everything planted. We have about 25 acres sitting waiting for it to dry enough to be able to plant. Just about the time it gets there, the next rain storm hits.
Great awesome video mike, nice to see u got the corn planting done . We got all our corn 🌽 planted done Thursday and barley is planted too . Finally done
Get it done whitout GPS proof that it Works i quess. Old school planting but the results is what counts ,hope you got no flood in youre area unlike Brian in Ohio thats bad, thanks Mike have a good day greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
mikep7810 Yes and you’ll find other uses for it on the farm. We are building a shop and use it for an aerial view of the yard to see how to position it. Thanks
4 row narrow? I just bought a 4 row wide this past spring, I'm planning on picking ear corn this fall and hopefully I'll be able to post a couple videos!
The big boxes in the front are for fertilizer, the middle box is the seed box, and the box on the back is the insecticide box. Now a days not many people use that box which is why you see some planters without them and bigger seed boxes
@@BK-fy2xi This planter is a 1979. The older ones were all set up like this. Planters are set up different depending on what you are planting or what your needs are. Some planters don't have fertilizer boxes, some have different types of seed deliveries
Can someone give me the shipping dimensions for a John Deere 7000 4 row planter. I can not find a dealership or John Deere themselves that are willing to help me
From the back box to the front hitch is 13 foot. With it folded up the outside marker blade to other outside marker blade is 14 foot. From marker to marker is just over 13 foot

Haha thats right Scott. He prides himself on nice straight rows. However on a bigger planter GPS would be nice
Today is the day. Up early and out already . Have a really good day over there Mike.
Thank you John. Hopefully it was a good day
Nice ground. McDowell and Walker supporters. 👍👍
Good place. Thats where our beans ended up going. The ones that didn't get flooded!

Thank you. It was nice to make the final push and get it all done. Hopefully you are able to get your last 25 acres in

If you guys end up buying that Gator, you will be amazed at how handy that will be.
Its been pretty handy in the short time we've used it
Awesome video!!!
Thank you Wellie
Mike isn’t that why we have kids? So they can do the work for us!! Hey when you gotta go you gotta go🤣🤣
That is very true David. I think of that with every hay bale I stack lol
Glad to see your done with corn how far along are you with beans
Probably a third of the way done with the beans

Thats pretty cool. Ours is 30 inch rows
I’m assuming you have a box for seed and fertilizer but what is the 3rd box for?

@@mikep7810 thanks. I’m not a farmer but love farm videos. I just haven’t seen a set up like that.

En cual engrane trabaja la sembradora 7000 para sembrar 7 o 8 granos por metro
Depende del suelo en el que estés trabajando, pero yo diría que en 5a marcha
Hey Mike do you do any no till crops ?
No Judi. We have some fields that get more tillage than others but we like to plow and disk and mix that manure into the soil. Great fertilizer!
Do u guys have your markers on a seperate remote? In the last video I noticed he switch markers without lifting the planter.
I've never planted with it but the way I understand it they are on their own remote.
How many acres of corn did you plant this year?
A little over 100
Hi Mike
What crop are you going to seed in the headland where there has been corn?
We are putting soybeans there. I left it alone so we had a place to spread manure when we were working up the other fields
Dad leaves on gator while son fills fertiilizer, dads working smarter not harder!!!
He's definitely a smart man
are you going to by the gator?
He is going to test out a different brand too
How many pounds per acre do you put your fertilizer on
Thats a good question Jay. I'll ask him what he has it set for
@@mikep7810 thanks
👍👏👏👏
Thank you

You guys really need a auger wagon if your going to keep using dry fertilizer, but hopefully you go 6 or 8 row liquid lol
I remember as a kid he had one of the wagons with an auger. I'm not sure why he ever went back to bags.
mikep7810 it probably rotted out, fertilizer is so hard on everything
Probably....although his back might be going out if he keeps it up this way
It wont be to long and it will be hay chopping videos!!
They will be here before we know it
You forgot the intro.
Thats how you know it was a long day!
