We would chop 1st cut alfalfa, small square bale 2nd & 3rd, and chop 4th, until I got a processor round baler, and I would wet wrap the bales. Stave silos with top unloaders didn't like the wetter 4th cut, and I didn't like the pitchfork!🤣👍👍
I don't blame you. I remember as a kid when we had the top unload silos and the silo unloader broke and had to switch over to the pitch fork silo unloader
Excellent work on the vid. We're you getting a loan of a tractor at one point 🤔 I'm sure I seen a loader on a open platform jd.. 😊.. Good work on the camera loon... yer be chasing in there fathers footsteps 😊.. stay safe 🏴
I"ve heard discbines take more horsepower to run than a haybine. What do you think the minimum horsepower tractor would be to comforably run a discbine ?
I would say it depends on the size of your discbine. The 956 moco we use in this video is a 15 foot head and the recommended horsepower is around 120-200
Great video Mike it's cold and freezing rain here in northern Minnesota refreshing change thank you
Thank you Paul. I'd cold and freezing here in New York too. Figured it would be nice to look back at some summer clips
Another awesome vid! Keep the deere's running!
This video makes you appreciate summer great video

@mikep7810 "Twin arm, surface drive"!
thank you
Thank you
Be interesting how one of those Dion’s from your previous video of your neighbor measures up in haylage.
That would be a fun video to make and compare the two

Thanks Ian. The 4555 went down so we were shuffling tractors around for 1st cutting. We borrowed my brother-in-law's 4050 to run on the blower
When did you have the 4055 on the chopper? I’ve seen a ton of your videos… I don’t remember seeing the 4055 on the chopper.. great video
Thank you. The 4555 went down at the end of mowing 1st cutting so we used the 4055 to chop while we were waiting for the part
@ ah okay…. I must have forgotten..
