  • Quick tutorial on how to remove the rear bumper since there are no other videos available for it. Tutorial also valid for 2007 A5 8T.
    Video quality is quite grainy due to low light conditions towards the end of the day. Sorry for the poor audio.
    List of screws/clips:
    - 3 torx rear wheelwell
    - 3 torx underside of bumper
    - 1 'plastic headed' screw behind taillight inside boot, upper
    - 1 nut behind taillight inside boot, lower
    - 1 pin holding final 2 clips of bumper inside light housing
    - unclip the clip that was held by the pin in previous step

    Just popping in to say thank you very much for posting this video. It really helped me when taking the rear bumper off my A4 B8.5 Allroad. There's an extra trim clip above the three wheel arch screws to take off on mine. I was scared sh!tless pulling the bumper away from the wheel arch on mine, it didn't want to budge 😳. A bit of care, brute force and trust in the process got it done 🙂. Thanks again, couldn't have done it without your vid 👍

      Glad it helped. Yep, you gotta use plenty of force to pop the bumper off. If its your first time you’ll be worried about breaking something but you just gotta carefully use force

    TOP TIP: Use a Mono Block bathroom tap spanner ( long socket ) to get at those long threaded bumper bolts cheap tool but indispensable

    this video has really helped me identify an annoying noise in the rear, both nuts are missing on the partially treaded bolts that hold the bumped on for some reason. Any idea what size they are or what part number?

      @MistaAnjum  7 років тому

      Sam Bachellier The single nut on either side of the rear of the tail lights you mean, right?
      I'm not sure what size they exactly are, but from memory, they should be between a size M4 to an M6 nut.
      Glad the video helped.

    Good stuff, should be able to manage it, did you manage to relocate the side of the bumper easily with everything lining up ?

      @MistaAnjum  7 років тому

      Ian Spencer Yep. It lined up nicely and clicked into place with no issues. Probably the easiest one i've done to go back on without any issues.

    Hi there - fantastic video - I have an A4 Avant (estate, 2009) that I need to change the bumper for - will your video help with that model?

      rumjon Hi, thanks. I'm not entirely sure, I've not done an avant before but I'm hopeful a lot of the fixings should be pretty similar. You're probably best off checking on some forums beforehand, anyway. Cheers
