Sanguinary guard heads remind me of the sun baby from teletubbies and that scares me
Same honestly, never felt the deathmasks on the sanguinary guard.
The only thing to dislike here is how they somehow have access to more flame weaponry than the Salamanders, and I have to yet to understand this.
The Salamanders would have more but they keep reforging them into armor decorations.

I think it has to do with the fact that the Blood Angels are playing on the primal fears of their theme. They're Space Vampires after all. Take vampires from every current take on them, from Bram Stoker, Twilight, Anne Rice... the Blood Angels feature it all, and flame is anathema to all of them.
Yea, double heavy flamer on Land Speeders and heavy flamers in Tactical Squads is great

Dark Eldar have one of the best and most crosscompatable ranges, with the subfactions all individual yet unified. With a beautiful sleek if spiky design very different from anything else.
And the Craftworlds... Lots to talk about obviously...

I actually saved the nipple armor for my captains and other important chars, mostly because i thought it was weird for a sergeant to have this level or ornamentation)

The wings, the death company, the tac squad. All absolute quality, and if you file away the blood droplets on the armour/weapons they can be amazing for Dark Angels.
2 packs of death company and 1 pack of tac squad can get you 20 well-ornamented and personalised marines.
Isn’t captain tycho the only dead hq you can use in 40k
Not sure if the only one, but in canon he died after falling to the Black Rage during the 3rd war for Armageddon. Thus he should never be fielded with the Primaris marines as Bobby G was still in bed when this happened.

It sure would be nice if Raven Guard could get any unique models, besides Shrike, at some point or at least rules for the 30k unique units. Maybe when Corax comes back

The best chapter, creating my own blood thralls/ imperial guard
somewhat late to this but you dont have to use the death masks on the Sanguinary Guards if you dont like them. The kit comes with 5 masks, 5 ornate marine helmets and 5 bare heads.
Imo, blood angels are one of the best chapters in 40k. They just seem to be such solid range of miniatures.

I always disliked the sanguinary guard legs. They’re too boot I’m heavy, in all the artwork they’re very from fitting around the muscles and look way better
I use sanguinary guard as a base for my 30k emperor's children palatine blades, cos they have the 30k jump packs
Sanguinary Priest can take a jump pack but there is no jump pack in the sprue
sanguinary guard look alot better without the death masks, the normal helmets in the kit are some of my favorite though
Best SM chapter in the emperium, well them and the Black Templars ;)

Blood Angels have so many awesome kits for details
and my thoughts as well (sorry in advance for long list)
1) I bought a Blood Angels tactical kit and normal space marine tac kit and just mixed the parts between them with left overs.
2) Death Company heck yes I had a few and same as before used them for part to kit out old marines I have laying around in my parts box. Bonus if you put magnets in the backs and backpacks you have ump packs or foot slogging Death Company.
3) Terminator kit is also a great kit I bought one box and turned them in the shooty terminators and used the claws and hammers on some other terminators I had got as well so I have 3 terminators squad all blood angel themed. Bonus you can magnetize the banner holder to hold a shield or the banner if you want or can.
4) Sanguinary guard I only bought one kit really and used the parts for HQ's and veterans really. Great kit thou when I first put one together I had trouble getting the wings to fit but I think that was just me lol. The jump packs I took and used for my Horus Heresy Emperor's children Palentine Blades for Jump Packs they are the MK IV style jump packs.
5) Baal Predator I wish I got more of those when I built my BA army I only had one and it was awesome kit as I love my tanks.
6) The Dreadnought kits. Yes to them all. My and a friend of mine both bought the old Deathstorm kits when they came out and swaed kits I got both Blood Angels and he took the tyranids and I have a left over dreadnought I was able to make all 3 from 2 kits. Keep that in mind if you have an old dreadnought kit you can upgrade it. Also I seen a friend use the librarian dreadnought weapon for a Grey Knight weapon.
7) Mephiston I still not a fan of Primaris but Mephiston looks really good like this he is primay but he doesn't look it and that is what I love about this model just looks upsacled like you said.
8) Never did get that Jump Pack Chaplain because I had an old metal one in a box and gave him a Death Company jump pack. His detail makes him stand out as a Chaplain with what I understand with leading the Death Company in to battle.
9) Blood Angels Terminator I like this model the pose I feel like it's one of those how you look at it but that's just me. I always used it as the named character from the Death Storm box set. Love the detail I just wish he had actual rules really because they did that with Krom from the Space Wolves Storm Claw set with Space Wolves and Orks and Krom is the only one with Rule from my understanding.
10) The Sanguinary Priest I'm not going to lie but I imagine this should be the new brother Corbulo becuaase from my understanding Corbulo is the only priest to hold the Skull chalice and this kit looks like if he suppose to be him. As for the Current Corbulo still a good model have so long.
11) Gabriel Seth is a sweet model looks great I never did Flesh Tearers.
12) The rest of the characters I never owned and seen in person so I can't say to much off. But I have seen conversions of Dante thanks to the Sanguinary Guard kits with adding the jump packs and the wings and giving the axe from the Sanguinary Guard to Dante's.
In truth I really love how the Blood Angels stand out in the Space Marines and I think it will be my next army to work on when I finish with my 30K Emperor's Children army.

Gabriel Seth could use an updated figure but i agree he is an absolute beast. I just wish i used him more. I haven't even gotten around to painting him or even my Blood Angels. Only the Sanguinor is painted and that was a commission
I’d like to point out the Sanguinary Gaurd kit gives you the option to not have the death mask.
This is the army that suffers the "Bat Nipples" syndrome, seems good in concept, looks awful in reality.
Nothing a good small needle file won't sort out mind you.
Blood angels have some of the best weapons, jump packs and helmets.

I've actually converted the Jump Pack Chaplain into an Apothecary for my 30k Blood Angels, and the musculature done in red looks really good against the other side done in white.
Death company dreadnought and the space wolves venerable dreadnought would make a great base for a chaplain dreadnought conversion
I've only ever seen the thumbnail of brother corbulo, I always thought he had a Guile flat top kind of haircut because of his white pack behind his head.

Loving the range reviews. and also a few things wold like to say.
For The terminator captain. i always thought his pose is supposed to be he is getting momentum for him to swing his hammer. plus there was an art piece showing him fighting nids with that pose too.
For the Sanguinary Priest. Yes they can take jump packs (For some reason they didnt say that in the main codex) and yes the head is something i dislike aswell, i painted this guy and put a helmeted version which made him look far better.
I think the magna grapple on the death company dread adds some mass to the top which helps “frame the skull a bit more ,giving it that bulked out look
Maybe you don't like Sanguinary Guard because they could be Stormcast Eternals?

The ‘nipple armour’ is based on real world armour that used to be worn historically by high ranking Roman and Greek warriors.
It fits the Blood Angel aesthetic down to a T.
Sanguinary priest with jump pack was in the index, dropped in the codex, added back in Blood of Baal, after a designer commented that they recognised that certain armies needed certain options even if they lacked models. (I'm assuming big mek with kustom force field came back for the same reason)
I've just picked one up before the prices went up, planning on giving him a sanguinary guard jump pack, possibly mashed together with bits from the original, if I think I can make it work.
Also grabbed a dreadnought, thinking of popping some inserts between the groin and torso and perhaps legs and feet, to give it a little more height, while attempting to magnetise between the librarian and regular furioso options .. and after totally seeing your point on the magna-grapple, wondering how I also magnetise that option! :D
The sanguinary guard also come with regular helmet and bare head options, I don't know why they have zero pictures of those.

About the extra "bulk" on the death company dread, I find the same thing looking at the ironclad when you have the hunter killers on..i leave the flagpole of it tho :p
The nipples are there because when they are not in Baal they get chilly and if those things weren't there the Space Marines nipples would make holes in the armor.
i hate the sanguinary guard kit because of how the wings are attached, because its easy for each model to have the wings in a different position

The terminator isn’t running...he’s planting himself. Like something is charging he’s going to give it a few rounds with the bolt pistol before swinging the hammer down onto it before absorbing the kinetic energy that’s about to impact him. he’s planting himself to absorb an impact. That’s what it looks like to me anyways

Gabriel Seth's model partially benefits from that quality paint job it got. I think that's one of the big factors to whether most models good on the site.

As a heretic through and through, I hate the idea of serving the rotten Imperium (even as a RP element). However, I really like the idea of making renegade ex-Imperial bands (flipping a bird to Imperium and Carrion Emperor while not falling into thrall of Chaos), something like non-Chaos Fallen, and from the Space Marine range, I like Blood Angels the most - both from visual side, but also that two sided nature, being both noble and ferocious (only problem is with those damned Imperial sigils, so I will have to either remove them on every model, or at least desecrate them somehow to show philosophy of my army). Plus, they are so far the only SM army that can field non-character (you-dudes style) Dreadnought as commander
The death company dreadnought looks like a bouncer that used to be a royal marine.
I think the problem with that chainsword on the blood angel priest is it looks too thin

The problem with singuinary guard is that the pose and the proportions look stupid, luckily you can make some solid conversion with age of sigmar models

18:50 all they needed to do is have the cloak flowing toward the model, i think they were going for a stop and aim but its hard to tell

I love me some Blood Angels (even the bat-nips) but I don't get the kneepads that look like the abs. Like are they just so jacked that even their knees have abs?

2nd edition for the current model, however, I do believe an even older model exists that was made for him wayyy back in 1st.
Gabriel Seth is just too small. If they kept the look but made him to the scale of a regular marine it would be great.
Same with Dante, chapter leaders need to have a presence on the battlefield. Kinda like a how the king/queen in chess are the largest models, over say rooks and knights.

I’m realizing older school terminators are actually one unit that looks much better to me without the helmets (especially since I really don’t like the bug like terminator helmers). I do like how blood angels actually have hair and look well bred instead of like a gang of skin head brutes.
Ironically the Blood Angels are the only space marine legion that recruited almost exclusively from mutants and wastrels
