- After our morning trip to Hollywood Studios, Brennan and I drove home to freshen up and get our bags for a Disney resort staycation! We've been wanting to go camping together for years, so we did finally did it at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds! We only stayed for one night to experience the amenities and chance the weather, but I can say with absolute certainty that we'll be back! We explored the resort by walking, roller blading, and taking the bus, enjoyed a BBQ dinner at P&J's Southern Takeout, and ended the day with s'mores! The following morning I made breakfast on my new propane stove, and we then packed up the campsite and made a final trip to the boat launch and new horse ranch location before checking out and heading to pick up Arlo at Brennan's parents! Thanks for watching and we'll see you soon!
"sorry I was lowering the stakes" cracked me up 🤣
It was very nice watching your post from Fort Wilderness 👍😎 Great Fun Camping 🏕 Don’t see too many tent campers in summer. It looks like you had fun with no problems. Loved the BIG Marshmallows 👍😎
Have always wondered what it would be like to camp in a tent at Fort Wilderness. Seems fun. And most importantly less expensive than the hotels. Thanks for taking us along!
glad to see you guys had fun and was glad to see Brennan get her camping trip
We camped at FW last year as a family of five - 1, 4, and 6 year old kiddos; first camping trip, and we had an absolute BLAST! We are going again this winter :)
If I was a few years younger..... Spent many a day at the cabins many years ago. Fort Wilderness is such a great place to spend time and enjoy nature. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! You guys are fun to watch!
Yayyyyy camping! Love seeing your gear and cooking setup. Great video
glad you guys finally got your trip!
What a great idea for a staycation. I enjoy the adventures you and Brennan share.
Love the focus of Brennan.
You guys are amazing!. I'm from Guatemala and I didn't knew Disney had this kind of resort... Thank you for sharing and also for being authentic.
S’mores are life!
Camping there is so fun!
Hi just a camping tip your tarp should be completely under the tent
Yeah; if it's overlapping at the bottom water will just drain onto that and then under the tent. Learned that the hard way.
Trails end is so good!
Great vlog. Scenery beautiful. i really enjoyed. Stay safe
I have been wondering what regular camping there was like. I’m thrilled you made this video! You two are enjoyable to watch, good vibes. Happy life to you two.
Happy campers😍
You guys look like you had so much fun!
Thanks. Very enjoyable! I live in south Florida and planning to get a new tent and go up there when the weather cools down. Can't wait😁
Had no idea there was so much to see and do here! Thanks for the video tour of the place and what it's like to camp at WDW...in late August!!!
I love this video thats so amazing and seems like so much fun
super cool video ...always a fun time ..just so dam neet ...
We stayed at Fort Wilderness Cabins last year. The food at the resort is amazing!
Looks fun :)
This is a good way for me to combine two bucket list items....one more trip to DW and camping lol! Enjoyed this vid!
You guys are so adorable. Your Coleman stove is so clean!! I hope you have many more camping trips and it gets as used as ours which is about 20 years old. I love camping at FW in my VW hippy van.
Best part was finding out what breakfast was!!! Second-best was "lowering the stakes"! LOL You guys are so fun. Camping was a nice surprise to see. I figured you were doing Riviera or something like that. Nice choice! Thanks for sharing. That footage looked great on, I'm assuming, the new camera.
Fold your ground cloth in under your ⛺ tent or you will collect 😉 🌧 rainwater!!!@
Came here to say the same thing. Your ground should never extend beyond the edges of your tent. If it rains, the water will be flow between the tarp and the tent floor.
What a fun video! fort wilderness is definitely on my bucket list. But my hat's off to you for actually camping out in this heat. I'd have to go full-blown bougie and bring some kind of portable AC or rent a Winnebago or something.
This is making me feel like I need to do a camping trip with my son!
great vid and I’m am glad that u channel is getting more popular. Keep up that great work
It looks like so much fun. I’m planning a trip there and will do tent camping too 😊
You have the best vídeos, Im obsessed with your channel!!!
Hi you are awesome
I’ll be there this Monday thru Friday (9/7-9/11). I love Ft Wilderness so much and can’t wait to get there!!!
Lori W have fun!
Car camping at Disney would be really fun
We totally use an air mattress when we camp. If you are tent camping it is so important to be comfortable. I would love to camp at fort wilderness sometime. Did you see other tent Campers? You guys look very prepared. Nice doods!
Doods and Dudes bring a fan for your tent. Tent campsite have electric and water.
Your new camera is amazingly clear :)
I did not know you could pop a tent there.
You stayed two sites down from our usual spot! Camped there TEN times
I can never imagine myself camping lol, but this is definitely a great video, as always :)
You’ve got to go! It’s absolutely incredible!
Watch some YT camping vids, they'll get you in the mood lol
Folks I have AC for my tent, snd inflatable bed, electric, coffee marker.....it is called Glamping.
P.S. last i knew Reflections is cancled.
i love your video, and everything your buying.!And it's my birthday!
Hey now there's nothing wrong with alil bit of comfort, you want full camping experience you should goto ginnie Springs, we went twice first time we had fun but allot of problems inside the tent, space and hot, next time we went we got bigger tent better bed a fan a portable dvd player for at night, and a brighter light, much better experience when you really prepare, even if you think it's kinda silly to bring, bring it, there's others who are bored in their tents at night, but dvds and lots of snacks and drinks and comfort items, can't go wrong!!!
Reflections is on hold.. Hopefully permanently, but lets hope the fences come down and it does not become another abandoned area.
Honestly, I would love an extension of the Settlement area! Bring all the trees back, and maybe another restaurant!
you are supposed to have the aprp all the way under the tent, not sticking out at the corners. it is supposed to keep water from touching the floor of your tent, if any of it is sticking out, it will funnel the water under your tent instead of under the tarp.
You could have parked in the Main Parking Lot and left when you where ready. Tip for next time. You can go anywhere and come back when your done. Disney Transport will take you. I know it's not available but DDP is valid til midnight on check out day. Check out does not leave at 11am.
I’m about to come here on the 18th of December and I wanted to see what it was like.
Were you right next to the comfort station? Fantastic.
Was there heavy lovebug presence yet? Great video!
Take your dinner to the water - watch the sunset!
please buy an auto inflate air mattress, but your set up in SUPER COOK AND THE TRUNK YES.!!!!
Did we go to Jamboree together? Just outside of DC in 2005.
my family and i used to go to the campground all the time now it’s impossible to get in. we got a spot for february of next year and i can not wait
I was just looking at a spot in early Feb. 21 lol!
And it's so expensive too! For awhile people were booking spots they didn't even use to get fast passes and dining, but I think that loop hole closed.
This looked so relaxing - I so enjoyed you sharing this experience with us! Were there many snakes or bugs around the campsite...that would terrify me! And was it expensive? I’d love to do this with my granddaughter (once we can travel across the Atlantic again). Thank you!
The great thing about camping at Fort Wilderness is...no snakes or bugs! Disney uses many different methods to have virtually no mosquitos. It's the best camping experience our family has ever had!
I'm planning a trip now and I'm into 🏕️. This is actually the least expensive way to stay at a Disney resort! Definitely an option for our plans.
Lets gather around the campfire, and sing our campfire song. Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song! And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong. But it'll help if you just sing along!
I was wondering who Arlo was when you mentioned him in your 2nd attempt to ride all rides at Universal. He's a puppy? I LOVE puppies. We have four doggies....
Wow, those Disney food prices! 5 bucks for a glass of orange juice, in Florida?
Where was your Scout Jamboree? Mine was Fort AP Hill.
Brennan is Natalie Dormer's TWIN!
How much was your camp site?
Did your tent site have electric outlets?
She has what my G-ma calls an Angel Face❤️ Very Beautiful
Ooh cool, this is on my bucket list someday too! Hope there wasn’t too many mosquitoes!
Did the showers have soap/shampoo there or should we bring our own?
Never save a couple bucks camping.
AC can be fitted into tents.
I've never seen someone do smores on a gas stove while camping. Was there a burn ban?
Jessi on the Go Hi! You can’t have an open fire in Fort Wilderness - only grills and the WDW campfire with Chip and Dale.
Can you share the cost of the site please? I would love to do this.

Do I have to take my tent ?
Do you know if there still doing the campfire singalong during covid?
They are not. :( They are doing movies every night, though!
What month was this?
How many people tent camp? I am always trying to figure out how to get to Disney World more on a budget. I have considered a road trip with tent camping but was unsure of the bath/shower amenities and have a ridiculous fear of gators!
The little dirt plot is definitely spacious enough for a bit group of people, so maybe two smaller tents or one larger tent? The amenities were fantastic and we weren't near water where we were at all!
I found you video very helpful, immediately starting trying to plan a trip 🤷
When I was there I heard security removing a gator at the next campsite in the middle of the night. I was warned not to walk my little dog near the edge of the water. This is true all over Florida. I did not see many tent campers. It’s very hot so if you do tent camp bring a fan. Even tent campsites have electric outlets and water. I had a small RV for me and a tent for my son. He bought a stand up air conditioner and put the vent hose out the door. It worked great. It hit 105 in July so ya it was a good idea. I would not want to walk the parks all day and try to sleep in a hot tent. Another luxury I brought was a little portable ice maker. Disney charges for ice and we used the ice maker all the time. They cost about $100 and work great. Another tip if you get back from the parks and you don’t feel like cooking the only place open will be at the campfire movie. They have a food truck there.
@@havfunwithit Thank you so much!
How is the security in the campgrounds?
We spent a week there and felt very safe. The one time we had to call security they were on top of it quickly.
Everything is top rate at Disney. You need a Magic band to get into a bathroom or laundry room. So I’m sure your safe. At one point my little dog some how jumped out of my bike trailer. I panicked and rode to the trading post to report a lost dog. They immediately went into alert mode. With in 5 minutes I got a call on my phone. They found him at the dog park. They knew how upset I was and even sent someone to check on me and my dog the next day. They brought me 3 fastpasses and they were wonderful. The security is there but discrete.
How much to rent a canoe
Burnt to the core.....now that’s a s’more .....lol....
How does the taste of a gas-roasted marshmallow compare to a wood campfire?
They're are people who pay to sleep outside and then they're people who wont pay to sleep outside. Which are you?
UM. I would exactly call that camping.
Do you really need to wear your mask while walking alone?
Terry Newell yes, in case you come across other people.
@@mindyschocolate I just keep my mask handy. I see someone, I put it on .💙
@@terrynewell8968 Just a point.. just breathing and talking leaves droplets in the air for a while... someone could walk where you walked a while after you are gone and still be exposed to the virus.
The necessary rule needs to be... when out in Public Places a mask IS required. Sadly this covid-19 is far more courageous than first thought.
I'd hate to think my negligence resulted in someone's untimely and tortured death. Suffication is a horrible way to die. Thousands ARE Dying because we are not taking this seriously enough. 😟😢
@@faithrada please don't take my question as not taking things seriously. I've only seen 5 people since Xmas, when my son told me about the virus and I needed to isolate because of my poor health. It just didn't look like there was anyother people around. 😎
@@terrynewell8968 I 'hear' you.. we also have been isolating... #1 because of health & age issues... and #2 because there is just so much we still do not know about this new health threat.
So many assumptions are being made but we're really not sure... so I always err on the side of caution. We need the science.
Clearly .. IF it were easy to deal with it would have been gone by now. Sadly it is STILL here, STILL inflicting great suffering on the global population.
It does seem like too many are just not willing to make the necessary sacrifices that will help SAVE LIVES.
The more careless some continue to be .. the harder it is then for those of us who WANT to say.. go shopping safely for food.
Sweden TRIED the 'herd immunity' approach... it was a DISASTER. They have lost a whole generation of grandparents and seniors.. who were not yet ready to die.
When are we going to learn? 😞
God Bless and stay safe.
Things I've noticed about every single man-child who makes UA-cam videos about Fort Winderness: 1. They wear that same "Turkey Leg" shirt, and 2. They call P&J's (note the ampersand which makes it "P and Js") "PJ's" for no explicable reason.
Those are definitely very specific details to notice!
yuck. i hate camping.
