Grace you should watch last years crossover "Crisis on Earth X". If you're after a big crossover that doesn't feel like separate episodes then that's the one. It's why this one doesn't feel as big because the producers didn't want to try and outdo themselves. It's basically a movie because of how seamlessly the episodes blend together

Danielle panabakers character killer frost and caitlin snow is heavily put down in the show by the writers only recently have they started showing her character more
Aaron Chettiar ikr it’s so frustrating to see how great of an actress she is and how well she portrays the character but those lazy writers don’t give her any material to work on just lazy writing if you ask me

Aaron Chettiar yes omg they keep depowering her like . I feel like some event should happen where Killer Frost should be split and stick around. Then some tragic happens where Caitlin dies and killer frost lives.
I agree, she could hold her own show. I think it’s partly because the show has too many cast members, and her special effects were probably too costly to include in every episode.

That wasn't Jay. That was Barry Allen. I'm pretty sure you knew that. And it was the identical suit they used on him when he starred as the Flash in the original series. That's why that suit was good. And it looks pretty good for going against the newer costumes.

Marc Guggenfucker is the man responsible for fridging the black cannery in the first place that's why we never got a proper black cannery.

Nah, man. I love all three shows but it was definitely the most underwhelming crossover we've had. And definitely the one with the most plot holes...

the story was good!!! it is basically setting up Crisis and all ties together to the Monitor testing out how different universes react to reality being change so they can face the Anti-Monitor next year. They stated it in the crossover and by that standard, they did exactly what they set out to do.

It was toned down compared to CRISIS on Earth X last year but that's what made me enjoy it more. Better interactions between the Trinity and Infinte Earth's is coming next fall. Hyped

@@orkiso1 I'll let it sit. I liked Earth X, didn't care for Invasion. I enjoy the smaller crossovers more for some reason like the first two and this one. Plus it looks like Elseworlds will actually affect the remaining episodes for their seasons and of course Crisis next year so that helps

Tyler’s Superman was the best part of the crossover Flash and arrow are always fun to see together but how can they mess up Arkham asylum

@@evie8078 Warner bros wouldn't let them use him, as they have Superman for the DCEU. But because they are planning to take a break from Superman in live action movies for a while, specially with the Henry Cavil ordeal, CW might be able to use Superman more now, and maybe he'll have a solo TV show.

Ruby Rose perfornance was eh. Overall it was a fun watch, not as big as Crisis on Earth X budget wise. I think they are saving money for what they teased at the end of Supergirl, Crisis on Infinite Earths!
Flash and Legends has the biggest budgets out of all the shows. To bad Legends was left out.

I was there when they filmed this 😁... I was walking home with my friends after watching Halloween and we came across the set, we met Amell, Benoist and Hoechlin, then I befriended someone on set and she let us in to like the actual set, not where all the fans are, then the next day she invited me back again! Pays to live in Vancouver

Ruby Rose's acting as Batwoman is so flat. Nothing really likable. She has a really awkward walk as Kate Kane. Then as Batwoman she appears very stiff at the end saying goodbye to Supergirl. Supergirl's instant connection to her comes across so forced. Batwoman has the personality of a brick.

Danielle Panabaker is great and I wish Killer Frost was shown more in the crossover. Also really like Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5.
It was fun to watch the interactions between the characters but the story which is the most important thing was thin and drowned under the references and fan service, and at the end you just realise that these 3 episodes were just a teaser to introduce the next crossover... - -

I loved this crossover, and I have to disagree with you about the batwoman show, I feel like it could do well as a show and I'm excited for it.
I liked it, but my gawd is was a bit cringy at times. This crossover forced me to watch Arrow, a show I stopped watching 3 years ago. As for the actress who played Batwoman? Awful, just terrible.
Arrow was good this season daredevil quality
Only time it was cringy was Iris Scenes. I mean i dont hate her as a character but sometimes i need her to jst stfu and stay out of it.

Glad you had some level of fun, Grace! To explain the Brainy thing, BTW, Brainy was uses an image inducer (like many alien immigrants on Earth-38), and probably switched back to it in preparation to return to their home universe.
I enjoyed watching Legends crossing over with themselves! They should have been a part of Elseworlds, they would bring all craziness to make it more fun!
I was surprised to see Gary in Supergirl's crossover episode.

Well, it'd been a bit messy since they are a lot more characters to fit into this plot. Therefore, we got to see a better interaction between oliver, barry and kara
Thoughts on:
Batwoman - Felt like a overblown cameo. Plus her intersctions with Kara made her too much like Batgirl 2.0.
Evil Dopplegangers: They've official beat this horse to death. Evil versions of everyone and now we double up with Cisco and Diggle. The only one halfway interesting was Jimmy Olson.
Freaky Friday in the first episode felt so unnecessary. Barry and Oliver are friends and allies. A brain switch works if the two DON'T understand each other. That’s not the case here.

I love the fact that the first bullet point is "Gotham Fan Here!" because honestly same.
Maybe they kept the batsuit in the tree as a reference to her comics, where she has a "secret" room surrounding a (living) tree. That room is in a completely different building never the less. Oh well.

I agree with your review. Each year the crossovers got bigger, and this year it was indeed confetti. There were a lot of cool moments, but it didn't feel as big or threatening as it was supposed to be. The Legends of Tomorrow even referenced the crossover on their show, and decided to pass LOL.
When I was watching and I saw the suit in the tree, I could hear Grace's commentary in my mind. I think I'm spending to much time listening to your reviews Grace.
Perhaps you enjoyed the "Supergirl" segment the most because it was truer to Elseworlds (familiar characters in tweaked scenarios). You're right about the charisma of Benoist, Gustin, & Amell: they're extremely well cast and fill the center of their perspective shows heroically. It is their distinct personalities that separate the series which DO have surprisingly similar settings and supporting players. The highlight of the crossover was the trio playing off each other. Batwoman WAS a throwaway character and probably the only Gotham hero available that the CW/DC could use (Batman, all the Robins, Batgirl, & Birds of Prey tied up in other series or projects). The bland actress brought little and her writers even less. Too bad they didn't use the faceless Question instead.
(A) I need to catch up on this season, and maybe rewatch Elseworlds a couple of times, but it kind of sounded like this version of Amazo was partly funded by ARGUS, in collaboration with Ivo Labs. Which started me wondering if they're going to send ARGUS down the path of Cadmus Labs with building anti-meta/super tech. Ever since we had (regrettable) Huntress, I've been hoping that the Question will eventually make an appearance.
(B) It's been 6 years since they first name-dropped Kord Industries in Arrow, and I'm *still* waiting for a goddamn Blue Beetle. I really want Jaime Reyes, but heck, at this point I'd even take Ted Kord.
Have you been keeping up with the shows or is this your jumping in point? Cause this crossover was meant to be smaller. If you want a better idea of how well they can make a crossover, watch crisis on earth x.

They used Psycho Pirate because he is a key character in Crisis on Infinite Earths and this entire crossover was really a "prelude to crisis" event to setup next years crossover, much like the comics have prelude crossover events before the crossover events.
The supergirl one was the worst. First 2 was great, more action and funnier
It was not bad, but weaker than last year. I did not know there was a Rubie Rose controversy butI did not like her. She was over acting a lot. I understand why her best role was Ares in john Wick , she didn't have to talk or convey emotion.
Thanks for the review and stepping into it for an bit for nights. I really enjoyed this crossover more than the previous ones. More do to the trinity and some of the good laughes with an small supporting cast. I was alittle surprised by Ruby Rose getting little time to play Kate Kane/Batwoman myself. Maybe once they shoot the pilot, there will be more to her character and an few changes done so we get an better look at her too.
So, Grace, out of Disney’s two live-action franchise sequels/continuations, not remakes, which one did u like more? Christopher Robin? Or Mary Poppins Returns?
My thoughts:
Gustin remains the best actor in the arrowverse. Story was rushed but the scenes with the heroes made up for it. Tyler Hoechlin deserves his own Superman show.
Wow grace you really need to see every single series in it's entirety to realize how great this was. Gotham is fantastic but so are the CW shows.
Adrian Garcia, a team-up/crossover should be EPIC. Meaning you shouldn’t NEED a build-up to get people interested!!
A crossover should get people interested in watching ALL OF THEM in the future! And watch past episodes!

Please watch the rest of the shows before you review the crossover. Alot of what you said is very subjective. Ruby rose was not as horrible as you try to make her seem. This crossover was fan service as hell AND it was made to be a smaller crossover introducing batwoman and crisis on infinite earths. Hence why the legends didn't show up. And like I said in a previous comment, please watch crisis on earth x before or even all the other shows fully before you review a crossover you barely jumped into. I'm not saying you shouldn't have watched it, but as for reviewing it, I think you don't know enough of each show to have reviewed it and put it down as if it did nothing.
I LOVED it. I agree that Ruby Rose and the woman who played Lois Lane were the weakest links. I think I might be biased because I really dont like the actress that plays Lois Lane and I REALLY love Tyler Hoechlin so they were super mismatched in my mind.
She felt more Lois than Amy Adams in the DCEU

The guy playing Jay Garrick was the Flash from the 1990 TV show it used to be on CBS.Thats the costume from back then too

How do you give a review about Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl and then go on to say you don't follow them in the comics. When I say follow I don't mean what has come out in DC in the last 12 months, you do realize these characters have decades of depth. Then to put a final nail in your coffin you say Supergirl was the only show you watched (briefly), that show needs to give everyone a barf bag every Tuesday when it airs - "Hey I am girl, so I am stronger, smarter, and better than you cuz the producers say so - so there!"
One of the reasons I stopped watching that show. I only keep up with the flash. Well, a little bit of arrow too but I stopped watching two seasons avo.

Why bring back 90s Flash for a five minute cameo spread over 2 episodes? I'd argue that was as much of a waste as casting Ruby Rose as Batwoman.

Shipp has been on The Flash as a recurring/multi-role character since the very beginning. He shows up at least a couple of times every season, hence why Barry thought he was Jay Garrick, and then, even less likely, his own dad. Now he's got a *third* role on the show. He's going to rival Tom Cavanaugh for "actor everyone loves, whose character we keep having to get rid of".

Grace, I wonder if you noticed the references to the 2001-2011 TV show, Smallville, where they used the same farm and theme song used in that series. I loved that show and was even hoping for a cameo by some of the original cast members.
1:10 To be fair, after Crisis on Earth-X, they did say this was gonna be a smaller more character driving crossover so they could save up for the 2019 crossover that turns out to be Crisis on Infinite Earths

This cross over was literally easter egg city for the fans of the show. There were so much meta commentary that you wouldn't get unless you were a long time fan of the shows. It's also basically a set up for COIE.

I didn’t start watching Arrow until I started watching Flash. Flash brought the DC universe to life better than the DCEU (until recently).
I’ve read Batman, but not the other, comics. I like Flash better. The crossover episodes can be cool, but the budget limitations can make them cringeworthy.

Psycho Pirate manipulates your emotions. He played a major minor role in Crisis on Infinite Earths by torturing the Flash by amplifying his fear 100x. But Flash being Flash, just tried to run. Not to escape but defeat to the Anti monitor. Although he died, his running travelling thru time was the key to defeating the Anti monitor.
Arrow and Flash are doing amazing

It seems like the Elseworlds story was just a setup for Crisis on Infinite Earths next year. That is a very big story to tackle. They really need a lot of multiverse building in the coming year.

They're doing Crisis next year and I expect them to do something I don't want, and that is bring Black Lightning (a show I love) into the Arrowverse.

I just wanted 10 min's of my time seeing Grace review something she has no clue on. There's no way Gotham is better, you are crazy Grace.
Best parts were the throwaway easter eggs. The Smallville music playing, Earth 90 Flash recognising Diggle as a Green Lantern, trying to make out the dead heroes lying around at the start and the Crisis On Infinite Earths tag at the end. It was the weakest of the crossovers so far with just a few great moments.
What do you think of "The Crisis Of Infinite Earths" they teased for next year? Will you watch?

I thought it was good, if you are a continuous fan of the shows, it was really interesting. Can’t wait for Crisis on Infinite Earths though! That’s where it should really intensify.
Carlos valdez plays the villain so many times in flash, and he does it amazingly every time. You just assume its two different people.
If you want to watch a cohesive, huge crossover event off all these shows, go watch last year’s event. It blends practically like a movie and has a way better use of DC concepts/characters.

Thanks for reviewing this Grace, I literally kept refreshing to browser waiting for that notification to pop up. I somewhat agree with you, I thought it made for a good watch. It wasn't GREAT, but it was a bit entertaining. I was hoping for more from Batwoman, so it was a let-down not getting that.
All your points were spot on! I thought the same. When I heard the song from CW's Smallville looking at the Kent farm I was looking forward to seeing who they were bringing back but was a letdown. I'm a fan but this crossover wasn't what I expected.
I agree on Gotham being better, because it has in my opinion better actors and script and looks cooler. But I'm still mad that Barbara didn't become Harley >:(

Very bad job with Batwoman. Ruby Rose performance didn't bother me that much. What I hated is how she was written. Much like Supergirl, how are we as an audience supposed to accept these characters as their own heroes if the writers make their personalities and lifestyles so similar to the male counterparts. They feel more like Superman and Batman in drag than unique characters

Do you have any info on CW's Green Lantern rumors?
The directors and writers purposely scaled down on the grandeur of this crossover because they wanted to focus more on the Trinity and the people they interact with. Last year's crossover involved everyone, so the dynamic and presence was greater. But there was a struggle to coordinate with all four shows and such a huge cast, which is why they kept things closer and smaller this time around. It also gave them a chance to explore the dynamics of the Trinity and how they play against each other; give a little more development that we don't get from the bigger crossovers.
ive not watched flash since season 4 and dropped off arrow at halfway through season 4 but i always tune in for the crossovers. Gotta say this years crossover was hands down the best they have ever done, can't wait for next years crisis on infinite earths.

@@darkgoddarkseid2824 While everyone likes to shit on season 4 of Arrow, I'd like to remind everyone that it's not entirely bad, and up until the second half was quite good. The episode entitled "Brotherhood" was one of the first episodes to showcase James Bamford's talents, had amazing one shot takes and fight choreography. An article even was written about how it broke new grounds for comic book shows. There was the episode with the resurrection of Sarah Lance with the Lazarus pit, which led to an awesome crossover with John Constantine. Despite one scene of awful CGI, we got a really cool crossover with Vixen, when William was kidnapped. Then there's the 2 episode crossover that set up Legends of Tomorrow, plus the midseason finale of Oliver and Felicity getting shot up in their limo, which was one of the most well written midseason finales the show's done. Afterwards, sure the season started to derail, but the first half was pretty awesome!

It looks the same because it’s all filmed in Vancouver.
It does feel comic accurate. I think it didn’t represent Elseworld but that was because it served as a place holder to set up Crisis on Infinite Earths. It was a three episode build up for next year.
I completely agree with most of your assessment of this crossover and for myself I preferred the “Invasion!” crossover from two years ago which seemed to have more meat on it and variety in terms of the set up between Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Watch it if you haven’t already.
