How can I decide between Robot Girlfriend and giving people Acute Radiation Poisoning?
Yo man! Love your stuff. You should def get onto the show (again) at some point! :)
I've been ratioed.
One can give the other depending on the model.
A truly confounding conundrum Sir.
@@Shmackle123He has been brother
@@jmarksthespot dang my b. I've watched p2w for like a year or so. Prolly missed it.
I appreciate when the “which commander is best” game actually has a significant impact from one of the commanders, rather than “turns out Thoracle is good no matter who your commander is.”
Better than Ancestral Recall confirmed
Damn Tyler plays close to the chest... I did not see that coming.
Tyler playing Poker while everyone else was playing Commander.
What's insane to me is yes, Cam had the thing, but cam also played the urza's saga on turn one, so even if he didnt naturally have the dreadnaught, he still saga's for it turn 3 and curie still would do the thing
Crazy to see both ancestral recall AND time walk!!
on one card 😂
Yep. Switching my Orvar deck to Curie after this video.
I had the exact same thought! I’ve always struggled with protecting myself in my orvar deck as I ramped up. Seems Curie has a bit more potential beefiness and flexibility within the mono blue shell
I guess no one else caught the misplay at 8:42 where tyler puts a counter from Mothman onto the phantasmal image which shouldn't happen because Mothman targets
I caught it, but you beat me to it lol
Tyler continues to be an absurdly good player. Also holy shit cam actually drew his entire deck. Felt like he just had the best start the deck possibly can have. I don't feel like it's gonna do this every time but it sure has potential!
lots of people are going to build this deck on the hope of having even one single game with such an incredible start, only for it to never happen again and be a subpar urza forever.
@@thedoctor1471 I mean nothing wrong with trying it out. It does seem fun but I do think people will hope for this kind of game every game and end up very disappointed.
@@kenkokuten4887 ho I absolutely agree, people.should play whatever they like and have fun with. BUT while this game felt incredible, I don't think it's actually representative of how it will go usually, and I also feel that for one game where you do that T1 curie T2 dread lol draws 12, you'll have 80 games where urza just is more consistent. And we all know where urza stands currently in the meta.
(Didn't stop me from building the master Transcendent, let's be clear, I'm a sucker for this license)
@@thedoctor1471 Right o of coarse. I'm currently just enjoying a prison style Estrid deck. Is it the best? No. Do I have a blast? Absolutely. All that matters is having fun but keeping your expectations realistic.
I haven't even gotten into the gameplay and i'm loving these. The deck names are getting more unhinged and I fuuuuuuuuckin love it.
Tyler's quiet playstyle just lets him find lanes no one sees coming; props to him. Props to everyone for still pushing through Cam's card advantage, and to Cam for getting ahead and staying there! Great game!
Tyler, Nate, Cam & Dylan playing together is officially dubbed:
The Power Four
Great vid! Not that it really matters but Tyler shouldnt be able to put counters on his "Kellogg" Phantasmal image without it sacrificing itself. Otherwise great game as always
Holy hell Cam this Curie deck might shift me from my love of Magda. Love the absurd amount of lines you had, drawing your entire deck, and Aetherflux Reservoir finishers.
Wild game. Curie did way more work than anticipated but you love to see it.
I love how many ITYSL references there are in Play to Wins videos
Cam looked so giddy throughout this episode and it's hilarious.
This show was definitely an inspiration towards cards and deck ideas that seriously eluded me, you guys rock!!!🤘
Your weekly videos are always a highlight of my week! Thank you for your content and the entertainment it gives
Love the Mews as rad counter sspots
id love to see the Curie deck in a full on tourney, idk how strong it would be but it seemed unstoppable here
That's bc he was able to do the thing with dreadnaught to get an absurd early game advantage. thats probably not going to happen consistently
Holy cow that was nuts! Demolished the while table! Good stuff. ❤❤❤
Definitely one of the coolest new decks I've seen you guys put out from a new set. Nicely presented win on Cam's side.
That was a fantastic game, loved watching!!
I miss you guys! Ive gotten out of magic but i spent a lottt of time playing with you guys over spelltable, i come back and reminisce and wanted to share my appreciation for you guys, love you all!😊
Cam just had so much stuff on his playmat!
This episode is very fantastic, keep it up guys.
Hey guys! Just stopping by to say: Cam, your Etali deck kicks ass man!
I’m not far in yet but that double protected win attempt from Tyler after Cam went to kill them was incredible
Tyler should have had to sac the phantasmal image kellog when he put a counter on it with moth man
Another good showing Cam.
Nice, now I think I want to make a Curie non Cedh deck!!!
Awesome gameplay. Do wish we saw more of the rest lol
Great game by everyone! Whenever I hear the phrase "Magical Christmas Land", I will think of this game for Curie.
That was a nice game and so close for the Mothman...however only one thing...that Phimage should have been dead to the first counter from Mothman...but oh yeah Cam that was nuts
The itysl references are absolute gold 👌
Awesome I was already building curie, after I saw it spoiled but as a mid-high deck not a cedh deck but love it !
I would have liked to see the wise mothman do the thing where he gives everyone a billion rad counters
great stuff!
I love the deck names; Cam's deck name cracked me up.
I loved Curie in Fallout 4 and I think her deck looks pretty awesome. While this set doesn't have a ton of cEDH viability, I think you guys did an awesome job showcasing some cool stuff!
I am so glad the Fallout set is so dope. This was a great watch
I hope we get more Wiseman games! I played him at MCChicago, and had a blast. Won several games with him, just wish I would have had the chance to play him against y’all!
7:26 had me lose it, loving the meme
Did you guys get a new camera or new lights? The image quality seems much higher.
Well this was the most dominant game of magic I've seen played at the house Jim Davis, the guy who wrote Garfield, owned. What a party house.
Cant wait to play these precons a couple times so i can tear them apart for other stuff!
I knew it staring at that little wierd robot blue octopus is strong cedh, im building!
would love to see an attempt at a pure colorless artifact cedh build :)
12:30 why did you decide to use the red floating to try to bolt tezzeret and not to try to tutor with wishclaw talisman?
Damn, I love that Curie deck. Great game!
That looked like a satisfying win for Cam. Did not see Curie being that good.
Curie, emergent intelligence is such a sweet commander can’t wait to build a list
Can the Mothman's +1/+1 counters be put on the PhImage Kellogg without triggering the "sacrifice this when targeted" ability?
Could be mistaken but doesn't using putting counters on the phantasmal image/kellogg using the wise mothman's ability trigger the sacrifice it part?
You are correct. That part of Mothman's ability does target, and Phantasmal Image gets sad and dies when it is targeted, so if Mothman tries to give him the juice... Phantasmal gets big dead.
This is my problem with FOOD CHAIN, yes it's an amazing win con and there are now two easy to cast creatures you can run that can protect it from being countered. Once it's exiled, your main way to get it back is Rift Sweeper... Which shuffles it from exile into your library as an ETB. If you have access to white, Pull from Eternity pulls it from Exile to your graveyard. But if you are not running either your sitting there watching the other players play the game while you just sit there and watch. This is assuming you are not running any other win condition in your entire deck.
i find it interesting that you talk about Aetherflux Reservoir at the end, it should be one of the most well known commander cards as it's basically the only "win condition" card some decks can run that's not "combat."
Would phantasmal image get saced by targeting it to put a plus 1 counter?
Wow that was a cool game!
I like the little song that Tyler dang. Mothman is that a real song?
Wouldn't the phantasmal image die once target to get the +1/+1 counters?
Love seeing Curie pop off, mono blue artifacts let's go!!!! (Still sad Emry never quite made it in cEDH...)
What do you guys think about the bobbleheads?
Going forward how good is mothman foodchain?
Tyler shouldn't sacrifice the phantasmal image if he is targeting to put it a counter on it?
this mono Blue Deck is fuucking hilarious :D seems like something i wanna play soon ;)
Wish we could've seen Rose, Cutthroat Raider. She seems like a Tymna with ramp... just in red.
Can Tyler put the +1/+1 counters from mothman on his phantasmal kellog? Or would that trigger phantasmal sacrificing itself? Probably doesn't matter but I was curious!
Well thats a slap in the face! I thought this was a casual power 7 game... Is this not? idk, only at 9:45
this is a joke comment, right? it literally says cEDH. On a power scale of 1-10, it’s 11
Love it
I feel like the master would have been a better food choice option than mothman, but honestly there was no beating cam that game. Good stuff!
I have a Vhal, Candlekeep Researcher mono blue artifact deck that plays similar to Cal's. That one seems faster though.
Not a huge deal i dont think, but the phantasmal image shouldve been sac'd when mothman triggered and Tyler targetted it to put a counter on it. 8:57
Mothman is probably better than Ukkima/Cazur from the perspective that you actually don't mind casting your commander and so you can reasonably place Fierce Guardianship. In Ukkima (I play Ukkima for what it's worth) you almost never cast your commanders unless you are winning or it's dire straights. So because of that you dont' run fierce which is of course an amazing counter spell to have access to. Mothman also just seems like a decent card to play out and do stuff with while waiting for the win to come around.
Was in the process of building Curie do it's awesome to see it go off and show so many cards. Out of curiosity what is rings of brighthearth intended for
Instead of three mana draw 12 it's 6 mana draw 24.
There are lines with Basalt monolith to create infinite colorless, and then draw entire deck with Sensei's Divining Top.
Bro if you like drawing three extra cards a turn Arisen Nightmare is a helluva drug!
I don't know why this is the first time I noticed that this isn't a webcam game. Apparently the phone never tipped me off, but seeing the mew rad tokens get thrown, and then noticing Nate's deck on tylers playmat broke my brain.
Im wondering, why not emry? I feel like emry does the same but is more resilient ? The ability to draw cards is insane with curie but I feel like she has an impact only on the early game, while emry the more the games goes on, you get access to your graveyard as well as your deck? Loved the vid!
This was hilarious 😂😂😂 but I do have a question:
I see we have a lot of ways to make infinite mana but I'm not seeing things we could use it for like staff of domination or such. Am I wrong here?.
Who had infinite mana?
What I don't understand is, why the Dreadnaught trigger doesn't resolve? It's on the stack, no matter if it is exiled or not, so as far as I understand it, the Curie has to be sacrificed. But since nobody else thinks that, I'm curious about why the trigger won't resolve, can anybody help me out here?
I want this to be answered so bad. I am missing something here.
Missplay on the initial mothman trigger, tyler targeted the kellog phantasmal image which shouldve been sacrificed and should not be around
Can some explain how Cam avoided the dreadnought trigger? Was that not an ETB trigger?
Thank you! I’m so confused. What are we missing here?
.
Every time I cut xRocco. I see a rocco hit the battlefield and I miss having him in my list all the sudden
How do I get the play to win playmat Dylan has
I'd love to see how curie plays at a table that actually has more of a creature presence
Dreadnought has trample, so it shouldn't be too different.
LET'S GO
Maybe someone can chime in but i thought that if you copied something it only copied the exact text on the physical card itself? In example earlier in the video they mentioned copying curie after it exiled dreadnought. Would a clone not just be a curie as printed and not a 12/12?
Where did the dreadnaught etb go? Cam would have to sac 12 power worth of creaures right?
Or sacrifice the dreadnought. Since the dreadnought was already gone he elected to do that and lost nothing
Every single time I see Dylan on screen I can't believe he's not an Aussie
I loved this game. Curie FTW!!
Nice
Great video guys! However, I'm confused about why you haven't chosen the clear best commander in the set to try here. The Master, Transcendent is a much better version of The Wise Mothman, and it has even a top 4 in a tournament already even though it has only been legal for a week (although the deck was played by ComedIan, so most of the merit for the result goes to the player).
What a game!
ITS SUNDAY BOIZ
Tyler shouldnt have been able to target his Phantasmal Image Kellogg with Mothman counters bc of illusion 'sac when it becomes the target of spell or ability' text.
Can’t wait till things start being moxes too
Card advantage is a hellavu drug
So, can you use Leveler the same way you did Phyrexian Dreadnaught? In response to Leveler's ETB, you exile to make Curie a copy, so you don't have to remove your library from the game. Also, Eater of Days?
No, Dreadnaught has sacrifice total power of 12 or sac dreadnaught so when the trigger resolves you can choose the "or sac dreadnaught" option to no effect, Leveler and Eater of Days the trigger will go on the stack and resolve no matter what and they don't have the "or sac this creature" wording.
@@liamnealreilly6832 thank you for clearing that up
I like curie in my liberty prime deck
The trigger of the phyrexian dreadnought would not be in the stack after the Curie's hability resolves? Cam would have to sac Curie.
Dreadnought's trigger is to sac creatures with total power 12 or greater, and if you don't, sac Dreadnought. So a Curie player needs simply choose not to make the sacrifice.
I believe Tyler can't put the Mothman counters onto Phantasmal Kellog
