Every sitcom she might be a guest on, I WATCHED IT! Every movie I knew her to be in, I SAW IT! THE ONLY CELEBRITY I EVER LOVED, AND I MEAN LOVED!!! Did injustice destroy her career? Not totally! She pressed on, doing what she could! The industry punished her for going after what was rightfully her's! I would even go as far as saying the judicial system punished her also, under the guise of judiciary fairness: they kept her lawsuit in court long enough until that record company went bankrupt, knowing she wouldn't see that money, BUT SHE PRESSED FORWARD WITH WHAT SHE HAD! This is what the system does to you when you go after what's rightfully yours (I'm a living witness to that, on my fourth go-round of Injustice)! BUT I'M PRESSING ON WITH WHAT LITTLE I'VE GOT!!!
I FEEL SHE WAS RIGHT TO PURSUE SO-CALLED LEGAL REMEDIES TO RIGHT THE WRONG DONE TO HER! I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER NAME, AND KEEP HER CLOSE TO MY HEART 🎼🎵🎶"... UNTIL THE END OF TIME..."🎶🎵😭

Can live comfortably with no money worries and be a recluse with plenty to do in the home like online gaming,streaming,grocery/food delivery,etc..
Can walk inside on a treadmill and whatnot for exercise.
No need to talk to or see anyone if you don’t want to.
Many should know this after months with Covid lockdown especially people living alone.

I had a great time alone during Covid. I usually travel somewhere on vacation and this was different.
Volunteered to take off work without pay from March through May in 2020.
Enjoyed it so much I retired in June.(Was retiring in October anyway that year)
      Was online gaming,organic,gardening,biking,house cleaning,home projects,reading,audible,stock trading,binging,fishing,video conversations with family/friends,gaming content creator on Twitch,etc..
Also had fully stocked pantry and deep freezer.
      Amazon deliveries.
Don't see how it could affect my mental health.
Ate healthy fresh home cooked food. No money issues.
      Very relaxing.
I was enjoying myself. Finally enjoying my home like I should.

Grunge, you really don't tell Irene's story very well. Besides, where the HELL were her friends? Even so-called "difficult people" have friends that try and keep contact. The holidays are absolutely brutal on the mind, you know. If you don't project some sort of perfect family life do we just ignore people that are suffering? Irene couldn't tour in America because she was blacklisted. She had to go to Europe, Japan and Australia to tour. There are enough videos on UA-cam which will clearly show you that. I've heard 2 different stories about her divorce so I don't know which one is the right one. One says that they couldn't have children while another says that the age difference was frowned upon by Hollywood. She never put out another album of material because in 1987 her incredible album Carasmatic was essentially shelved by her record company and therefore didn't sell many units. She says so in one of her podcasts that were posted on UA-cam. I STRONGLY encourage everyone to go listen to Carasmatic. It is absolutely amazing! In an interview around 2010 she said she wanted to do something that wasn't all about her. She brought in young female talent and wanted to give them a chance to show their talent and their voice. Irene was very aware of all the flash and no substance music being made. She just wanted to create music that was meaningful. The world loves you when you are on top and getting awards but it sure doesn't want to remember you if show human frailty and are struggling with life. If I am sad it is because Thanksgiving was supposed to be a time when the people closest to her should have been reaching out to her. Especially if she had become a recluse due to Covid.

@@user-bx2cg2ec8c Yes, I watched him talk about Irene. He met her in 2009 or so. She had just quit the show Gone Country because they wanted to make everyone go to a prison to play a country song in front of the prison population like Johnny Cash did. Then the next day they were all chasing pigs in a mud pin. Not exactly a good place to learn songwriting for someone like Irene who had already proven herself 1000xs over. She was a chain smoker and admitted it in at least 2 interviews. She could never seem to kick the habit nor could my mom who smoked for 60 years and was hooked to a respirator until her last breath. I'm writing a book about her life so I have been putting every piece of the puzzle together to really understand what kind of person Irene was most of the time. Not just when she was stressed out and lashing out because her career was permanently altered by Al Coury and Company. If someone tried to humiliate you by telling you to chase pigs and then said you were hard to deal with because you said NO! I think you might have a little more understanding about what really happened. Irene was smart. She left the show before it devolved into just hazing.

2:04 Prince also went through something similar. He spoke of waking up angry for long periods due to the stress of dealing with difficult people and extremely negative circumstances with his then Warner Bros Records label. He practically also was blacklisted so much so he actually sang about it in a 90s song entitled 'Don't Play Me' and seems to tell his own spiritual self-care and the things he went through as a result of that stress in the song and video for 'Holy River'. He didn't own his life's work. Back to Irene, so was she cremated? Funeral held? Who are her family members? I'm just still on occasion baffled by her death, checking for any info still. I think most upon hearing her songs will always wonder.

Irene Cara co-wrote the lyrics to Flashdance which entitled her to 1/4 of the publishing rights. Her cut came out to around $3 million. Al Coury, the head or her record label pocketed the money and paid Irene $ 183 dollars. Her contract with him stated that he would get half. Al was not content with that and stoled her half as well. When she sued him for the $ 1.5 million owed to her, Al went to work for David Geffen and got Geffen to blacklist her from music and movies. She was unable to get any work and was broke. Her original attorneys sued Network Records, which was a shell company. Al Coury was conveniently fired by David Geffen a week before the start of the trial. Like the con man he was, Al Coury emptied it out of the assets prior to the trial and then place it into bankruptcy when he lost so she never received the money she was awarded by the jury. She did however stop the theft and got her future royalties which is what she lived off of. The experience gave her psychosis and she moved to Florida to be near her mother.
