Irene was involved with another all star group, the Bee Gees were I first found out about this singing sensation whom I started to literally fall in love with her and the way she sang her music directly from her own being I would listen to her song from Dirty Dancing whenever I needed a boost in life from hardships or bad times in life she was an inspiration to me and when I found out about her passing it was like hearing a family member passing I was literally almost in tears when I heard it on the radio and just thinking about it now I get upset but the beautiful lady looked just like my wife in so many ways when she sang Fame and I told my wife about that a few years ago .And when my wife found out about it she new I was really bummed out about her passing . So life is so special and so short that sometimes we all need to slow down and enjoy life like Irene did . She truly was a gifted and beautiful woman that I did enjoy her talents and music and acting and I hope possibly in the afterlife we as some of her fans will see her and tell her how special she was here. Such high energy dancing while she's singing. Nobody did it better.
Very under-rated

She really looked like she was enjoying herself. What a spark plug full of energy. RIP and condolences to all who knew and loved her.
Irene Cara was beautiful Artist & talented singer. Her voice & music will definitely live forever in this world. Rest In Peace beautiful angel & thank you for sharing your amazing talent.💗🙏🏽
She dance the way she wants, all is perfectly flows with the song she sang. The moves is absolutely incredible.
She positively oozes with this infectious energy. An absolute beauty with a magnificent voice and infinite charm and stage presence. Just such a "wow" factor.
I think she's also one of the singers doing the background vocals.
I tried playing the instrumental version of this song, and one of the singers in the background really do sound like her.
Yeah she brings the love that one. She is a fantastic dancer as well.
Life is so fleeting, she was in her early 20's here with her whole life ahead of her, all we can do now is keep her memory in our hearts, especially whenever we listen to her beautiful voice, RIP Irene.
I was a kid during the 80s and loved this sing
Recuerdo que vino a México cuando yo tenía 6 años. La vi en un programa de televisión y sentí que esta canción me alegró el corazón. Descanse en paz ✝️

Ah but she did live forever by the fact that we still hear her beautiful voice 😇

She was such a huge part of my childhood. Still 💛 her
RIP Irene Cara You will live eternally through your voice for generations to come. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us. Fly beautiful Angel
And I’m not going to say God rest her soul ,But God can I get the opportunity to meet and talk to this wonderful person however it is in the afterlife . I’m 6 years younger than her but seeing her really did something special to me I miss you and love you forever hope to see you later RIP till we meet or whatever happens after death . Amen
She was just too talented for the world to see❤ 🇵🇷
This is the real music we enjoyed in the 80-90:s. Wonderful, real, soulful, greatest time this earth has seen.
I am happy i was born in the late 60:s. Greatest time ever. Love this!
Her voice is amazing, she’s a talent for sure! This song is also SO good, always loved it … Irene in the house !!
Sadly I just heard of her passing today at only 63 years of age, may Irene Cara R.I.P.
@@CarlosCruz-ll5ez …. NOOOO!!! 😞 I’m so sad hearing this, RIP Irene 😞

I sent this video to my daughter, who is in her early 20’s and she said OMG she dances around like I do when no one’s watching… LoL … YEP that’s what we loved about her ! Rest easy Irene…
So talented. Love how she moves around on stage in her own world. So much energy and naturalness all over the place. She is working that bouncy fluffy gorgeous puertorriqueña mane.
Great... you know Borikua...
Lo más hermoso y dulce de los 80s. Eres y serás por siempre mi favorita. Brillaste como las estrellas, nunca te olvidaré
Love seeing Irene Cara dance like no one is watching! Back when you didnt need choreographed dances. Nowadays they lip synch to the choreography.
Irene Cara is just pure natural talent.
I'm pretty sure she is lip synching.
@@cisco1425 OH, definitely lip synching for sure, but still was very talented back in the 80's, should have been a much bigger star of the 80's, like Beyonce is today.
Yeah if she isn't lip synching then oxygen worked differently back then. But I was alive then....and it didn't.
@@cisco1425 She is not lip synching, you can tell by listening to her singing closely. Also, this particular show did not allow artists to lip synch.
@@garyc2161 It's funny how lip synching is such a big deal to people. Movies are so tricked out with computers for years and scenes get repeated to death and then computerised. God forbid someone may actually being singing through a Mic. Todays world AI is a big trend and the norm. Oh. I do love this song. Irene Cara real deal. Have a good weekend.
i can't believe i hadn't heard her name until today. why can't we have popstars like her today? beautiful, talented, passionate, and she just has that x, this way of being so effortlessly cool that is just, wild and amazing. u don't see ppl like this much now.
Yeah everyone now are just manufactured shell
You surely heard Flashdance before today but you might not of known it was her who sang it.
If you're younger than 35, there's a good chance you never heard of Irene Cara. She came from a far better generation of pop singers than what exists now.
@@canadasweetie oh yah i am definitely familiar w that too i just didn't know the artist and hadn't seen her face. zilennial ignorance lol
Auntencidad.
Two words!!Beautiful and Blessed. RIP..Love your music forever!!❤🌸🌷🦋
Now this woman epitomized real talent!! Loved the way that she sang with pure heart, soul & guts!! Gonna miss this woman; definitely was one of the first movie soundtrack queens!! Rest in Great Musical Power!! 🙏 💘 ✝ 👩 😍 📖 👗 👡 🎶 Irene, you are now in Heavenly Bliss!

So much talent in one package; she was extremely gifted and she stayed true to her arts and not chasing the pop culture. Simply amazing! Definitely gone too soon. R.I.P. Cara! You will live in our hearts forever.

Baby, look at me and tell me what you see
You ain't seen the best of me yet
Give me time, I'll make you forget the rest
I got more in me and you can set it free
I can catch the moon in my hand
Don't you know who I am?
Remember my name
I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna learn how to fly
(High)
I feel it coming together
People will see me and cry
I'm gonna make it to heaven
Light up the sky like a flame
(Fame)
I'm gonna live forever
Baby, remember my name
(Remember, remember, remember, remember)
(Remember, remember, remember, remember)
Baby, hold me tight, 'cause you can make it right
You can shoot me straight to the top
Give me love and take all I got to give
Baby I'll be tough, too much is not enough, no
I can ride your heart 'til it breaks
Oh, I got what it takes
I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna learn how to fly
(High)
I feel it coming together
People will see me and cry
I'm gonna make it to heaven
Light up the sky like a flame
(Fame)
I'm gonna live forever
Baby, remember my name

I rarely feel such sadness for people I do not know…Irene I am sooo sad… gone too soon! Sorry I never met you but one day we will in. Heaven! RIP sis!
She was a born singer. Thank you for the words.
I was inspired as a young girl by her songs.
Irene forever again and again RIP
Classic!!!! And absolutely unforgettable. ❤️
She was at that age when you actually believe you can fly. I love it.
Indeed teenagers it made us dream and it was enough for us to fill with joy. The years have passed quickly but the good memories remain...
I hope somehow, somewhere, something of this wonderful woman is still with us. 🌷
what an amazing talent!!
Anybody can lip sync.
Anyone can leave a loser type comment! Go away troll!!
She is so beautiful.." i like her songs since i was a teenager. Am now 53.."
And I'm 58 ! Great memories!
Im 20 and i love 80s90s songs
And it looks like she never ages.!
Vuela alto, tu música estará por siempre en nuestros corazones 😭❤🥰😘
Good song, I like the way she sings it as she dances. She sang with feeling, and transmits it when she sang. The lyrics are still very good to listen.
Yup I'll remember your name. Was only a young lad back then. But these 80s songs resonate within and always will.
She is sooooo adorable..you just want to hug her !
I do miss women singers like her.
One incredible talent she was, dancing and singing like no other. Thank you, Irene, for the awesome memories. You DID make it to Heaven!
Even though Irene's gone now she still touches my heart body and soul
Beautiful girl with a lot of musical and acting talent. Didn't know she lived so close to me! RIP!
