    I just stepped up and purchased a Browning CXT with an adjustable comb. Someone said “your shooting pretty well…I don’t think you need to get it fitted”. But after seeing your video…. I think I WILL see a guy about getting it fitted to me…. Just to make sure… especially the comb. Because it can be moved left or right and Up. I have shot 24’s a bunch of times with my old inexpensive CZ gun but have never hit 25 straight… yet. But I know 25 is just around the corner for me. Sometimes…. I think too much when I’m shooting… I just need to relax and take care of business. Thanks for another great video. And congrats for the medal….!

      Unfortunately, I broke my leg in September so I have not made enough 'shoots' to keep my firearm licence. I am working on how to justify this situation right now. (using a wheelchair has built up my arm muscles) I am recovering well, my son even drove me to our favourite range while I was in a wheelchair. Walking again and want/need to get back to the range soon. I will need to look into an adjustable cheek piece.

      Good on you Fred...the one I missed was a straightaway on station 3...usually an easy shot...but as soon as you relax...there goes the clay!

    Hello from Oregon! I am just getting into this sport and enjoy your videos. Congrats on the hardware and I like your new gun. I ended up with a Blaser F16. Thinking about having an adjustable comb installed as shooting at pattern board shows point of impact about 3-4 inches left. What I dont understand is if I adjust comb to right to change POI, it seems to me that mid bead and front bead will no longer line up when sighting down the rib?

    • @rogerpace9322
      @rogerpace9322  8 років тому

      Glenn...good to hear from you...Blaser F16 is a great gun...when you adjust the cast (on or off) ie left/right the movement only needs to be 1 or 2 millimetres and that should shift your point of impact 3-4 inches ...the beads will still line up...at the moment your eye is not looking perfectly straight down the rib...that is why it's shooting a bit to the left...I would be surprised if its the gun...once you get the adjustable comb...do the adjustments on the pattern board and then your gun will shoot where you look....and your scores will be higher and more consistent...my mate just bought a Perazzi high tech...he can't shoot well with it (but he hasn't given it enough time) and he's gone back to his blaser...stay well up there in Oregon!

      Sean...skeet...9's...trap 8's in bottom barrel and 71/2 in top barrel...and smoke those clays.

    Are CZ over/under shotguns common in Australia? I just bought a supreme field (look it up on google images its absolutley beautiful for $1600) but im a little worried it wont last a full year of shooting trap and skeet. Would love to hear youre thoughts on cz if any. I save a lot of your videos because I find they help me get better in shooting and value your opinion very much.

    • @rogerpace9322
      @rogerpace9322  5 років тому +1

      Megan...I can't comment on the CZ because I don't know enough about it...for $1600 you can't go wrong...just shoot it until you have a problem and that should be quite a while yet...get it fixed trade it in...you won't have lost a lot of money and buy a beretta ...I've shot thousands of rounds through my 690 and i love it!!!!

    Is a Over and Under Gun the best? I know a Side by Side will always shoot a bit to the left or right, but does Over and Under share the same disadvantage by going up and down a little? Or is it negated?

    • @rogerpace9322
      @rogerpace9322  8 років тому

      Ravonies...good to hear from you...For clay shooting an over and under is the most used gun...to my knowledge...the top barrel will shoot a little flatter ...and in most high end guns the barrels can be adjusted...so that the point of impact is the same for both barrels...stay well and happy shooting.
