I have a degree. I've also been hiring people for highly technical positions over 5 years at this point. And let me tell you, anyone who hires people doesn't give a fck about your degree especially I'm senior positions.
This goes double for career certifications. They are worthless pieces of paper that don't mean you actually understand anything.

Yes I did read it, I have passion’s - golfing , fishing, traveling - could I make a living at without putting the family on the street's or the poor house? Probably not. (but it is a charming thought - and some do luck-out) accounting and Crunching numbers on spreadsheets ( good at , yes ) but it isn't my passion, it is a means to an end, for quick, and good bennies, and good paying employment.
Ben Shapiro is an anomaly, he spends more money in one year on security than most people make in a lifetime) Most people do jobs they don't care for, but have to. For keeping the wolves off the door and lights on.

@@sitka49 Clearly you didn't read the whole statement because there are three elements to this idea: finding a job you're good at doing, finding a job that you enjoy doing, and finding a job that the community actually needs. Why are you being so hostile toward the idea? This is a guideline for someone to find their perfect career. It's something to aim toward. Complaining about all the different ways your current situation doesn't allow you to reach one of these three categories is a loser mentality. You'll never go anywhere in life if that's how you perceive the world. Victimhood mentality.

Ben is such an ideal dad/partner. He always prioritized his children first and still does. Like when his wife was going through residency, he'd drive forty five minutes w the kids and bring dinner for her where they'd eat in the car, and then she'd go back to the hospital 🥹🥹 and even now, he tries to get all his work done while his kids are at school, so all his attention is on them when the kids are home and the kids don't think he has a job outside their lives 🥰🥰

He's a fast talking demon that is incapable of telling the truth.
And he keeps giving a platform for Matt Walsh no matter how much video and audio comes out of him being a white supremacist. The only reason Ben Shabibo gets rid of anyone is anti-Semitism. He left Breitbart over it. And yet he defended Greg Gutfeld saying that Jews survived the Holocaust by being "useful" and pretends to reference "Man's Search for Meaning." The point of that book is that hope for a future saved people who weren't outright murdered. Not "usefulness."

@@Mataylor17 Thank you! I, too, went through a hook-up culture phase at the end of high school and the beginning years of college and I very much regret it! But hindsight is 20/20, you think it will be beneficial but really it's just an endless sea of unfulfillment at the end of the day. It's tough when society tells you that it's the right way to go, especially as a young woman, but really it's the total opposite. Honestly, the eye opener for me was being in a relationship I knew wasn't going anywhere, to the point I was like 'what am i doing?' so I decided I'm not doing pointless dating or hook-ups anymore

The best things in life often happen when you least expect it. I met my wife when I was at my lowest point and now we've been together for 6 years despite disagreeing politically and religiously.
We are currently stuck on different continents until I can move to Colombia. I haven't seen her since November 2nd last year and she arrives here tomorrow so I'm ecstatic.
Good luck with the tough road ahead!

Started watching Graham a couple years back. Loved the advice but had only seen one or two episodes of the coffee hour. Now I’ve watched Ben & Brett’s interview. It’s great stuff. It’s a fluent conversation. Great job to Graham and Jack!

I got married at 19, she was 18. We just celebrated our 30th. Getting married young is the best advice you can give a human being. Growing and learning together is essential.

How did you know she was the right person, especially being so young?

    • @DentyOne
      @DentyOne 8 місяців тому

@@taylord1558 I think people get hung up on the idea that they need to 'make sure they find the right one'. Sure, it's a romantic idea that somehow, there's one person who was simply made to be with you. But in reality, love is a decision. It's a commitment you make with someone you want to share your life with. That person BECOMES the one, because you both embrace responsibility together. As long as we are patient, kind, and honest with one another, love only deepens with time. If there's such a thing as 'the one', it's simply someone who you adore, that you trust, and who is equally willing to commit. That's it. The rest is just very, very rewarding, but hard work. And it's worth all of the effort :) It really helps if you both share a belief system. Having a sense of the transcendent in your relationship helps to frame it within a worldview that places you beneath a greater ideal. This keeps you humble and accountable. It will also make your joint decisions easier and help you to heal in times of trouble.

@taylord1558 not to say marrying young is the best advice. Like obviously it has worked for people, but to explain your question.
The right person is what you make it. The OP grew with their partner and each other most likely molded their lives to be right for each other.
You need some base level chemistry and similar base values but the nitty gritty is developed through the relationship
