You could also add some keyframe velocity so that the arm slows down when approaching the roll, then once it's grabbed, speed up away from it

IMPORTANT
if you want to avoid the jump cut. at 1:04 you film Gilles grabbing the object with Yannick holding the object an arms length away, who scoots in and places the object in Gilles hand then you only need to take your empty shot and mask out Yannick. * give the mask a 3 pixel feather. cool tutorial BTW keep it up. 2:48 You can also use a simple _cross dissolve transition_ and set it to only last for a few frames.
I use this technique all the time, especially if light changes in my scenes when I don't want it to. So if you had a slight change of placement, this will _seamlessly_ transition from _clip to clip._

In the result, at 6:06, you will see some differences.
1: The clock's color instantly turned off and when he grabbed the toilet paper back to normal position, it went on.
2: The shadows of Yannick's pants or something were shown from table to the bin with pencils or whatever is it inside. After a second of him getting the toilet paper, Yannick's shadow disappears as he was leaving.
And last, the elastic hand's shadow was not shown when he tried to grab the toilet paper.
But still, some things that cannot be caught in a movie that much :)
