Yes! Loving the regular posting.
Hicksy the social media influencer
@@SirSketchable doubt that very much! For him to do that,he'll have to do what Eddie did!Has to win WSM!🤯🤔😯🤔😯🤔🤔
Super easy to follow instructions with no fluff, I'd love to see more videos like this on the rest of the big three and maybe strict press and push (once the groin feels up to it of course).
Will be doing them regularly
Keep em coming!!!
Great instructions, thanks for this!

Love the content. I would love to see some videos of deadlifts and accessories you use for deadlift!
Perfect explanation 👍🍁
That was class. Looking forward to applying a few of these tips to my next bench session.
Definitely going to try these tips out. Another top quality produced video and high level training content, thanks hicksy for the videos, please keep them coming 💪
More tutorials would be great. Excellent video
Superb
Thanks for the tips and tricks with Hicks! Any tips for the deadlift or overhead press would be great. 👍
Steaming content, broken down in the most simplistic way I’ve seen to date but without missing the content. Loving the new video content.
I like the kick up style dismount off the bench Kimber-lee, very cool
Mate the was very informing and knowledgable... keep up the good work p.s. new gym looks fantastic
You just cant go wrong with this info, you are the man Hicks!

Thankyou I will
Loving the videos! Could we get a tutorial on the push press please!! With just a barbell preferably please!! 🙌🏻🏋🏻♂️
That was very interesting. Thanks guy's.👍
That fire had me laughing way more than it should have. It was so unexpected. 😉
Very good tips. I'm going to remember to keep my breath in till the set is complete. My sets are low reps anyhow.
Great content Big Graham💪🏼 I had to SUBSCRIBE. Hello 👋🏼 From California.
Hello and thankyou
This was a really excellent video - can totally see the coach in you coming out. A similar one on acccessory exercises would be great, I've been hearing a lot about them, but nobody really goes into them in depth. Thank you :)
It's depends which ones. I do enjoy coaching
Awesome tutorial 💪 I would think Hip and quad flexibility is critical here.
This is one of the best tutorials I have seen on bench pressing. Good stuff.
Nice to hear thankyou
Super video. Thank you. I'll take that with me when I get back to the bench. Could you possibly do another video on the squat?
Yes eventually
I love a deadlift video plz
Classs
Man hixxy u have great content! Your stuff is on point . U should put more work in on social media.
I'm trying man
@@TheHixxy1985 I know life gets busy but your doing great man !! Keep up the great work !
Waiting for the log video.
Same for squat and deadlift? Great video
Hell yeah! I’m gunna go bench all the weights in the gym after this 😂 cheers hicksy mate
No problem
I have no idea why I wasn't subbed, great video Hicks ! Lookin hot!
Thanks pal
I have been trying my hardest to get use to this style of benching for the last month - normally I only slightly stick my back up off the bench and stand on the balls of my feet, so there is no proper arch or leg drive but I still got pretty strong this way. Always felt like I'd trained my chest afterwards and it got much bigger as I got stronger. Now I've been getting a much higher arch and feet tucked underneath together with drive, and bar range of motion feels 2/3 of what it was. The problem afterwards is I don't even feel like I've trained chest and I have lost tonnes of size and bodyweight from this style. I feel slight bit in lower chest and mainly all in triceps. I'm all for big numbers but also want to feel good after doing it. I'm kind of torn between the two styles currently - I want the big bench but also the feel good factor too which I just don't get with the big arching & leg drive style. What sort of percentage increase is to be had between the two styles do you think Graham?
👌
I wanna get my military pressing up any tips tricks u have some of the stongest shoulders in the world 🌎 thanks
I always thought you held your breath and then breathed out hard whilst exploding the bar up? Great vid BTW
It's weird. Growing up that was the whole thing, "how much do you bench?". Now here I am at 33 yrs old and don't have any bench in my workouts, aside from Incline Dumbell accessory 🤷🏽♂️
How to improve deadlift please? 😁
We have made this video. Be out next week
Nice rhyming title
We once nearly knocked you down in a car once Graham, when you were crossing the road on your phone outside Leeds Headingley Stadium at ESM 2014 I think it was
Awesome stuff 👍👍
Deadlifting next please. NOT JUST DOING IT but ell us how often, once a week, maybe twice.? The talk is once every 8 days maybe..
Your deadlifting has come along a lot recently. Tell all please. 👍
I'm 53yrs old and been in the gym now for 3yrs, I've hit a wall and seem to be having trouble getting over 200kg on the deadlifting. I can do 225kg from top of frame set up but can't go from floor with it.
I'm doing deficits etc and rows.?
Do I need to do this more than once a week...?
How simpel can it be
Something you once said that sticks with me. When you're really uncomfortable, that's when you're in the right bench position.
This is correct lol
Forgive my ignorance, but would it not be better to train with a full/larger range of motion like a regular flat bench, get all your stabilisers firing and increase your strength - then go into a comp with the chest out/rounded back etc. knowing that you can press more with the smaller range of motion?
No this will not work
4:49 - there is smoke coming off your back
There's always smoke lol
Literally doing a bench session in 40 minutes, this video came just in time
Hope it went well
@@TheHixxy1985 it went alright could’ve been better could’ve been worse, I appreciate it man 💪
Do you hold your breath during overhead sets? I find for bench it's great, but for log or axle if I hold my breath more than one rep I feel like I'll pass out.
Only for a 1 rep otherwise I wont
One of the very strongest men in this country, and past BSM, and less than 7k subscribers. Mental.
PS - Hicksy - you're punching.
PPS - I love that the main reason you did the video was to save you the hassle of explaining this over and over again 😂
I explain it to most clients lol....the channel is only just beginning I hope it grows
@@TheHixxy1985 Well I've done my bit! Best of British.
Arguably the statically strongest guy out there atm.
No lol
Thankyou
@@TheHixxy1985 Nothing to thank for. Hopefully we can see you on max axle deadlift and log next year. I believe there are 2 records to be taken.
Me: this will be very useful to know... also me 70kg and only do 2 sit ups a day
please come back to powerlifting hixy
One day
Are those blue 20kg plates custom made? If so what are the specs for the handle holes/etc... thanks?😁
The company selling them closed this year
That's a shame.
sounds stupid but i have pain in both knees right now. would that set up with your knees bent so much make it worse with the pressure or is the pressure not that much.
Hard to know unless u try
@@TheHixxy1985 thanks for the reply, i appreciate it
for me (just training to stay fit), this is all ok if your competing against others and have to have these "tricks" to stay competitive, bit like belts, wraps and straps etc. but i have always believed in trying to be strong "real world", so no straps, no belts, full range of movement etc etc. whats the point of being able to pick something up heavy if you have to go and get your belt first!!!
Belts are for safety....thats like saying I wanna drive my car without seat belt to me......
@@TheHixxy1985 thanks for the reply, from your point of view, i can see that getting maximum weight safely is the most important thing. the seatbelt is passive, its doesnt do anything until needed, the belt is applying a constant compressive force to give you a stronger core than without. same as why wraps are done on straight legs, to then act as a spring under compression (watch some of the squatters walk out to the rack) .always found the belt or no belt an interesting subject. safety from what? Ive never worn belts or straps, with the belief that if the lift doesn't feel controlled, then lower the weight. i get this mostly on squat when the weight overpowers your core, you legs maybe ok, but you just cant stabilise. what happens when the 250kg deadlift guy is helping his neighbour move some heavy objects? his body is used to having a belt for providing core strength, and now its not there. to me thats unsafe. thanks for the reply again, good luck with the channel and recovery. Matt.
@@matthewwiddows6319 it's actually quite funny when you put it that way....he'd tell the neighbour he was busy lol
I just always promote why not protect yourself it does not make your core weak at all....I wear mine all the time my core is prob strongest part of me....I'd love to go to no supports for a comp. I'd thrive
Just a question, what the hell were you doing to get steaming like that lmao.
Haha it's just very cold in the gym so u can see me steam more
@@TheHixxy1985 lol I thought so, only time I’ve ever steamed like that is on cold days outside after a hard workout.
What are peoples opinions on those who are able to do incredible back arches and have massively wide grips who’s bench range of movement ends up being sub 20cm? Personally I don’t think your going to grow your chest muscles with a hyper curved back and your chest 20cm from the bar. I’m more impressed by less weight with the back flat on the bench. Look at Maddox, back flat on the bench and he’s got the world record.
You can't compare 50kg women to 200kg men
Looks cheating to me ur not pushing straight up its like pushing it bent backwards abit i know its not just looks that way
It's not cheating if it's within the rules
@@TheHixxy1985 yea i know it is and its the only way to get the big numbers but it looks wrong sunt it
