I remember hating the ink brush in splat 1 and writing it off until they released the permanent ink brush that had splat bombs and kraken. Of course there’s no kraken anymore (rip to a legend) but I’m glad that the vanilla set has splat bombs from the start, and Killer wail 5.1 while I still don’t understand it, fits the gameplan of running in and messing with enemies.
Honestly I use the killer wail like a tracker when I play the inkbrush. Many people compare it to the old one but I think of it more as more of a support sub when idk where my opponents exactly are since the killer wail follows their movement I can know where to rush in plus enemies get too distracted as you can't stay in kid form with the beam following you so I use the wail and immediately rush in to close the gap when it comes to shooter weapons. And if the wail doesn't splat them I usually at least get assists with it. I know many people don't like the killer wail but I definitely think it works great with the mobility of the inkbrush. It's definitely a better kit than the inkbrush nouveau.
Still new to the game, inkbrush definitely my fav weapon, wish I can play as good as you, kinda wonder the gear you build, seems like ninja squirt is necessary for its playstyle
ink saver main, quick respawn, and swim speed is what I had. Ninja squid isn't necessary but it will definitely help confuse opponents up close as well as help for escaping.
@@mcosights Cool, I have similar main as yours, just that I use ninja swim instead of quick respawn. Gonna try it out, I didn't pick it because I tends to get 1-2 splat before getting splatted.
As someone who got into Splatoon with this game, and that fell in love with the playstyle of inkbrush, I feel like I learned a lot grom this video! Question though: how much special charge up/saver would you run? I found myself running 1 main and 3 subs of charge up and 1 main and 1 sub if saver with the gear I got, tell me if I gotta tone it down (as a new player I am *heavily* relying on killer whale to force myself in) Really any build recommendations would help!
I would recommend using, ink saver main as that lets you roll around a lot longer, swim speed for higher mobility, and then either quick respawn or ninja squid depending on if you wanna be more evasive or wanna be a little more risky with your plays. You could possibly fit in a sub or two of special power up, since the brush can build special fairly quick. And yeah I believe approaching with killer wail is good I've learned that targeting opponents that are alone makes it easier to take them down. Hope this helps... wall of text lol
Inkbrush is a good distraction tool for backliners to take advantage of. Cause if your enemies are paying attention to you zoomin around they're gonna be open lol
I'm an Octobrush main but dip in and out between the two types. What do you recommend for ability set up? I had swim speed and inksaver in splatoon 2 and it usually worked.
I'm an avid Inkbrush main myself so I gotta know, what's your build? You clearly have a decent amount of Run and Swim Speed Up, but what else do you have? Or is this even fully built yet?
Well I didn't have a build per se since I barely have any clothes. I had a main of swim speed, ink saver main and quick respawn. But the most important ones I feel are swim speed and Ink saver main for more running around. Ninja squid can be an alt build to be more evasive. Run speed does not help with rolling speed of inkbrushes or rollers despite the name lol. So NO RUN SPEED.
Sure, here we go: Ink saver main is your friend, it helps you brush around for longer. Never stay within a fight for too long, you want to in and out of enemy battles, and inkbrush does best when it disrupts and distracts opponents. Ninja squid is not needed but is good to help with survivability Killer wail is a good approaching tool, and splat bombs are annoying to the enemy. And finally try flanking and weaving around for best results... but not super long flanks that you abandon your team lol
In this I was running swim speed, ink saver main and quick respawn since I tend to get splatted a lot. BUT inkbrush can also be good with ninja squid and swim speed for more evasive play.
Honestly it's all just getting used to spamming the button, I can only do it for a few seconds and then my finger gets tired lol. But I do believe you can also remap the shoot button to a different button that's easier to mash and that may be a strategy
For the inkbrush I would recommend swim speed, ink saver main and quick respawn, and maybe a sub of ink resistance. You can use ninja squid to help with sneaking up on people and the swim speed will balance out the speed reduction. And NO RUN SPEED DOES NOT AFFECT INKBRUSH OR ROLLER RUNNING SPEED, so don't waste slots with any of those with this weapon class. With that being said I hope that helped and GOOD LUCK! :)
I remember sleeping on the brushes until the other day I had a fire ass match in splatzone when we almost lost 100- 8. But we took the win & not to brag but it felt like my octobrush was the main factor. Sneaking behind enemies & bitch smacking them with the brush even in their spawn, I was a menace 😂
It depends on what kinda play style I want, usually with ninja squid I make more sneaky/ hit and run plays. With QR i tend to try and force my way in and create as much chaos in a short time. But seeing the net code ninja squid may be the better option lol.
Watching you zip and move around reminds me that I actually need to move instead of standing in one spot tunnel visioning 🤣
Yeah you can really shmove with this thing lol. which makes it so threatening!

Yeah Inkbrush can be VERY disruptive this game. That being said you need a strong finger for this thing lol

@@anonymoususer9197yes it’s also good for assist kills for your teammates!
who's gonna tell them
I’ve been maining the Inkbrush since 2017, and it’s the perfect weapon to use if your aim isn’t getting any better!
I also use it because one of my controllers is kinda flaky so I cannot trust my aim.
As a brush main, I die a lot in rank 😂 but I get the most kills sometimes , I cannot survive that long like you! Keep playing man
Yeah ink brush is a risky weapon since you have to get in and out of enemy fire a lot. And thank you for the comment! :)
Like they always say, if you played Inkbtrush, you know it’s just that good…
I really enjoyed that first game, wow!
Everyine was really poppin off... and for what? not even recording smh lol
this is literally the only weapon i play lol. every day i pray to the gods they put the permabrush kit in next season
I'm sure they will! I have a feeling each weapon will have 3 variants this time around :0

I really like inkbrush. It's great unless you have a bad backing and u can't get in on theirs.
Who's been matched with hydra and elite yet?

swim speed, ink saver, quick respawn or ninja squid for the last main. A sub of bomb defense could also be helpful
Inkbrush is surprisingly aggressive
cool !
also inkbrush got a ew buff:
when rolling with their brush they don't take damage from ennemies ink (only the ink on the floor)
Yeah you can really tell the difference the rolling is so smooth now, it gives the inkbrush even BETTER mobility...honestly might lowkey main :0

im sad that octo doesnt have this :/

This is very good for me Bcz I can finnaly learn how to be a better inkbrush main(BTW how many swim speed up u got?)
I only had a main and a sub of swim speed cause I have no good clothing right now. Ideally I would at least do 1 main 3 subs of swims speed.
yooo nice gameplay !!!. Can you share with us your main and sub abilities ??

I’ve mained it since 1 and I always feel naked without my ninja squid 😂 but i do wish i could be this fast and have ink saver hmmm
Can u tell ur inkbrush tips pls?

Ink saver main is your friend, it helps you brush around for longer.
Never stay within a fight for too long, you want to in and out of enemy battles, and inkbrush does best when it disrupts and distracts opponents.

what abilities do u suggest for the inkbrush?

@@mcosights how much swim speed do I need to balance it?
