- Minecraft capes are by far the most sought-after cosmetic in the entire game, but just how much do capes mean to the community? Well, the answer lies in the story of "pentacapes", or account with 5+ capes. From accounts being stolen from streamers, being hacked and traded for thousands of dollars, and a roller-coaster of locks, unlocks, snipes, scams, and more, this is the history of Minecraft's pentacape accounts.

CORRECTIONS:
Both CzarNicho1as and Wam have come into the community within the last week. CzarNicho1as seems to have maybe been pulled through support, but by a different person than the ones mentioned in the video. I'm not quite sure how Wam got here, but it has since been pulled back by the original owner.
Nobleman/Vek/Pat's stories are slightly different. Pat and Nobleman were both involved with account selling which caused the capes to be removed (Nobleman having scammed out, as well). Vek has a different story behind his cape, and I'll let him tell that whenever he feels ready.

It's sad how noone mentions that bedrock accounts can also become rare with capes. I accidentally had put 7/9 capes on my old account instead of my main account.

You had to go to Minecon, but there are no more Minecons so the only way to have a Minecon cape is to buy an account with a Minecon cape. However, the Minecraft Festival is coming up, which is basically Minecon with a different name. There will be a Minecraft Festival cape, and you will get one if you go
