That was incredible ! Thank you I see you are in Netherley ( I was brought up just of Chelwood/ Bowring Park Rd :) When I first left home in 1984 aged 17 I lived in the shadow of the Anglican Cathedral & that is the very first piece of moving image of St Jame:'s Cemetery I' ve ever seen !.I probably know every Logan's grave in that place...The scene of the kids playing on the merry to round kids of every colour & creed playing happily together but living in abject poverty & the top of St Luke's bombed out church can be seen in the background really brought a lump to my throat .Liverpool.was bombed so badly during WW2 ,these people went through so much hardship..amazing images I.miss home..Liverpool will always be home xxx
Life how it should be for children. Yes they were poor but life l remember was good. Family, that's what mattered. Thank you so much for sharing your video. 😹😊😊😹🐱🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Kids had nothing but played together in the streets. Amazing how clean the places are in comparison to now. Life is taken for granted now and the respect for were we live has gone. It's a travesty
....and what did Liverpool City Council do? Yes, they knocked all this down and rebuilt with high rise flats for the people to turn into slums once again. Nothing learnt there at all and repeated all over the country so now we have generations of kids who have known a garden or fresh air. Kids who are poorly taught at school by liberal twats who think it's not right to actually teach the tried and trusted methods that worked. Thus producing semi illiterate kids who cannot read or write properly and will never have a proper job as all the old industries were knocked down with the houses. 'Oh to be young again......No Thanks!
Hang king billy at 1.53..but religion is to blame for world piverty..the religious are the bastards..they never used their millions to help the poor..but the dumb poor gave what little they had to the church roof fund..how pathetic...man made religion still ruining peoples lives today...
Yet another blend of the same old familiar footage with distracting music. A well-thought-out and interesting narration would have made all the difference and raised this effort to a much more interesting and informative level. As it is, it's just another one of so many on You Tube.
In 60s 70s early 80s lived on lodge lane l8 toxteth. Loved it 😊
It really brings back memories, I was a kid in Liverpool in the sixties, off warbreck more L9.
And while the pictures dance before us four lads were getting ready for the Big Time, oh nostalgia. Liverpool forever!

Policemen on the street!

Totally agree, religion often leads to hatred and mistrust, with its dogma and falsehood, rejecting scentifically proven fact as blasphemy and heresy
Nice little film, but is this really Liverpool? I know I'm getting old, but it looks more like Manchester...
looks to be around Netherfield road and some parts in town haven't changed
No 100% Liverpool
The Liver building, the Mersey! Yes it's Liverpool.
Peter, you need to go to Specsavers. I wonder if Walkers or Higsons are still going.
Cathedral on there too was Everton valley on there at some point..
And look at it now.. Sad
