Foster has the whole lot of them in tear's & out of breath from laughing! It's no wonder no one ever wanted to go on after him! He was the most underrated Comic Genius of -that- ALL time!
@@trainmaster0217 ; I stand corrected! No one today can come near him. No one then wanted to follow him; that's why he always went last. Yes, that is what I meant. Thanks for the assist. I made the needed correction.
Foster Brooks made an entire career out of doing one thing very well. Nothing brings back the feeling of the late 60s or early 70s like these roasts. The celebrities, the clothes, the hair; it's all there....
Yes, watching these gets me laughing soooooo hard I worry the neighbors in my apartment complex will call the men in white coats. Foster is BEYOND funny, a new vocabulary word is called for humor at this infinitely rich level!!!!!!

The only bad thing about watching all these great Foster Brooks videos where you laugh all the way through and briefly feel like you were back in that time period is at the very end. Where you are sitting there realizing you are jolted back to the current time period and so many of the "entertainers" we have now.
I'm watching this during commercials while "CLUE" is playing, and I've laughed much harder with you all.The timing and somewhat speech of Mr.Brooks has me in tears of joy.
Probably because they had respect while still ripping into their subject. I watched the Charlie Sheen roast several years ago and half of them had no comic timing... and they were the 'comedians' while the rest were either suck-ups and/or just foul-mouthed idiots who thought could get away with it 'in good fun'. Wish could have seen Rickles live.
I'm just a kid again sitting back in the 1970's watching some of thr greatest comics that ever lived come together on one srage.. these were truly special times and my favorite was foster Brooks and Ruth Buzzy ❤️ 💙
Had a bad day. This made it tolerable. Thanks for posting. Foster Brooks was one of the best IMO. 'Roasting our weenies and toasting our buns'. ...' emergency vasectomy on a horney owl...OMG I needed a laugh today.
I grew up watching these shows. It was funny, clean and honest comedy. Unfortunately with today's cancel culture this type of comedy wouldnt be allowed.
You can forgive for that as he has Rickles right next to him looking right at him roaring with laughter at the eyes bit of the speech thats rickles all over
My Dad was on a plane from LA to NYC once in the 60s when the "captain" came on the make their usual announcements: It was Foster Brooks. Dad just about peed himself telling Mom and me about it. Very funny guy, Always made us laugh. Frightfully original material and delivery. Hopefully Bobby Moynihan thanks Foster every night for his Drunk Uncle bit on SNL's Weekend Update.
Sean Snow I do too, and I remember watching these with my dad in the 70's when I was in grade school....my dad would be in such hysteria that he couldn't even get his breath...yes, Foster is that funny!!
They certainly don't make em like this anymore. Foster Brookes was the funniest comedian there was. I couldn't breathe watching this. When you can make the best of em laugh, that's some talent.
I am only like a 40 minute drive from where dean was born and raised ..I go up that way a lot and see a sign that says you are now entering the home of dean martin ..its so cool every time I pass that sign and that I am in dean martins home town
Duke Nukem I live in India. Whenever i visit US, i will visit that holy place to pay my homage. I want to see the place which gave the world its biggest entertainer of the 20th century. What a man, what an era!
If you guys haven't seen it yet, cruise on over and check out Foster's roast of Don Rickles. I dare say, it's the funniest thing ever recorded. Even Rickles completely loses it at the 5:00 mark. Deano can't contain himself. Absolute pure comic brilliance. One thing I've noticed in the comments, people often talk about how PC has ruined TV and America. Then, lets take it back. Anyone tries to be PC toward us, we tell them to lighten up or suck it. I think it has come to that...
Rickles' laugh is the best laugh I've ever heard at these roasts! The time when Brooks roasted Rickles, Don was on the floor! And when he was done Foster Brooks went back to his seat next to Angie Dickinson!
4 minutes, half a dozen jokes stretched out with impeccable delivery. For the trouble, maybe $5000 1970s cash and a suite at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Props to this man for making it big at age 59.
WOW! You can't do this kinda thing on TV anymore. The good old days before political correctness killed all the fun, joy and laughter. Thanks for posting.
+Malcolm Nicoll This is pure comedic GENIUS!!! I've never laughed so hard in my life!! I remember watching some of these in the 70's when they originally aired with my dad, and he was on the floor and so was I!!
Yes, comedy at this intense level almost tickles the soul!! This doesn't just make me laugh, it makes me laugh until I can't breathe!! What a genius!! RIP Foster......you brightened the lives of millions and STILL do so!!!!!
i think foster Brooks the greatest Comic Genius of all time. Jonathan Winters a cise second. i think ive watched this over 100 times and will keep watching and enjoying
The mold was shattered long ago. There will never be another like Mr. Brooks.
Somewhere, angels are falling about, and giggling.
I know that they are!
Foster Brooks is awesome. He not only has the audience rolling with laughter but the celebrities are cracking up as well
Foster has the whole lot of them in tear's & out of breath from laughing! It's no wonder no one ever wanted to go on after him!
He was the most underrated Comic Genius of -that- ALL time!
Don't be silly - Foster was incredibly popular in his time, so not at all underrated.
Of "that" time? I think you meant of "all" time.

@@smc1942Foster had to go last...how can you top that.... everything else would be a complete dud after him!!
I thought Orson Wells was gonna explode he laughed so hard! Pure genius right here!
You always know you're getting something special when he takes the podium.
When you make other comedians laugh... that’s a gift!
I keep looking at this piece of film over and over. Foster Brooks was the greatest comedian of all time. Everyone was falling with helpless laughter
Foster Brooks made an entire career out of doing one thing very well.
Nothing brings back the feeling of the late 60s or early 70s like these roasts. The celebrities, the clothes, the hair; it's all there....
I'm crying. Seems like people were truly funny back then. So great to see and hear people laughing out loud at a true comic genius.
Mr. Stewart is crying up there! "What the Tish, tosh, tosh, tish".😂 total laughter. Sheer comedic genius right here!
I’m on a Foster Brooks marathon...genius!
Most of the hardest laughs I've ever had came from these roasts and Mr. Foster Brooks!
Great stuff!!!
Yes, watching these gets me laughing soooooo hard I worry the neighbors in my apartment complex will call the men in white coats. Foster is BEYOND funny, a new vocabulary word is called for humor at this infinitely rich level!!!!!!

TIMELESS!! No one better than Foster Brooks!
I love how Foster almost breaks up starting at 2:30... but then he pulls it together and goes on.
The only bad thing about watching all these great Foster Brooks videos where you laugh all the way through and briefly feel like you were back in that time period is at the very end. Where you are sitting there realizing you are jolted back to the current time period and so many of the "entertainers" we have now.
He only has to walk on and I'm laughing, pure genius.
Love seeing Dean laughing so hard like that.
What do you mean? The guy was always in tears in all of them LOL
foster brooks is the king of drunk comedy that act is out of this world
I'm watching this during commercials while "CLUE" is playing, and I've laughed much harder with you all.The timing and somewhat speech of Mr.Brooks has me in tears of joy.
One of the greatest comedy acts ever performed!!!!
Any time I need a lift I put on a Foster Brooks roast. It instantly makes me laugh and lifts me up. Fantastic stuff!
These roasts are funnier than the new stuff Comedy Central is doing. Foster Brooks, Dean Martin, and Don Rickles are comedy legends.
Probably because they had respect while still ripping into their subject.
I watched the Charlie Sheen roast several years ago and half of them had no comic timing... and they were the 'comedians' while the rest were either suck-ups and/or just foul-mouthed idiots who thought could get away with it 'in good fun'.

no shit, it is called talent. almost none of "stars" have any nowadays.
Roasts now days aren’t funny. They are disrespectful and hurtful and not tasteful at all
Nope not even close.
Foster yes.
Foster Brooks, an absolute genius..

2:33 - Foster looks at Rickles and almost loses it. Only time I ever saw him almost break character.
"In conclu...in concluuuhhh....As I leave you..."
So absolutely hilarious I wish he was still around

cobaltace62 Thanks for the comment.
It's even funnier for them because they know that Foster Brooks doesn't drink any more and he's doing this completely sober.
Hands down the best roast of all. I prefer this to the new stuff.
Check out his roast on Sammy Davis Jr. That one had me cracking up so loud my vocal cords almost blew
The Man was a Genius. Watch closely, he ALMOST loses it twice.
yessss...i love when he nearly burst out laughing....dean's dream was to be a great singer(eyes roll and a good giggle with don rickles)
I remember seeing this on TV when I was a kid. My brothers and I used to reprise this routine and crack up.
love foster Brooks crying all night watching him x
oh my god to see all of these great people takes me back and foster is out of control soooo funny
"Sitting around a campfire in our short pants roasting our weenies". HA ! Classic.
I grew up watching these shows. It was funny, clean and honest comedy. Unfortunately with today's cancel culture this type of comedy wouldnt be allowed.
You know you're someone when people like Jimmy Stewart, Don RIckles and Orson Welles are díing of laughter on your jokes.
The funniest comedian ever! He makes me laugh out loud!
Thank you so much for the memories of these great shows, especially Foster Brooks
Thanks for the comment.
I’m on a Foster Brooks marathon....
To think all these guys are gone man :-(
2.34 Brooks nearly starts laughing and just holds it in
That’s the only time I can recall him almost breaking character on these roasts. Amazing professional and hilarious.
KingLaudrup check the Lucille ball roast he breaks towards the end. I just noticed
You can forgive for that as he has Rickles right next to him looking right at him roaring with laughter at the eyes bit of the speech thats rickles all over
Friggin hilarious and genius. haha!!!!!!
Those were the days ;) I get teary eyed because my father resembled Dean Martin in looks and personality. Foster Brooks is the greatest!
O true Drew.

Roasting our weenies and warming our buns! ROFL!
That got me hungry for hot dogs 🌭 when he said roasting our weenies
Little did we know how true that statement was at the time! Seems some scout Masters, were actually Scouting for Boys!
He was ONE OF THEE FUNNIEST people on The Roast Comedy.
A great horney owl! Oh my goodness, quit it Mr. Brooks!😂 I'm cryin' over here! Genius!
This is a good joke. Actually he makes up some jokes. So does Rodney Dangerfield. So original to. Me
Foster Brooks is such a skilled artist. WOW....ser!!
Every one up there a legend
Brooks was too much. I don't know how he kept a straight face without losing it. Remember watching these in the 70s. I was in my teens.
I laugh so hard I cry when watching this very talented man. Dam was he ever good.
Sean Snow I do too, and I remember watching these with my dad in the 70's when I was in grade school....my dad would be in such hysteria that he couldn't even get his breath...yes, Foster is that funny!!
I am 65 years old will never forget these days. Funniest of the funniest. Can't go wrong getting roasted from Foster Brook.
Good taste is timeless.

yep
Is it the roast for Man of the Hour, or Man of the Week?
I agree
Slammy...... Slummy... LOL
Foster would always have Me. Martin laughing so hard he'd be crying
So great, I've seèn them all and I still laugh.
Rickles' laugh is the best laugh I've ever heard at these roasts! The time when Brooks roasted Rickles, Don was on the floor!
And when he was done Foster Brooks went back to his seat next to Angie Dickinson!
This man was fucking amazing! Thanks for posting this!!!!!!!
Thanks for the comment.
I love that you can hear Don Rickles absolutely losing his shit right throughout the whole video 😂
simply brilliant !
I hear his name and I am laughing
Im flipped looking at all the famous guests at the table😮❤
