14:36 The reason Vanilla Ice hasn't shown up in a single cutscene is because he actually used to show up in a cutscene in the launch version of the game a year ago (during the first campaign run a player would do as tutorial), but with the gameplay rebalance update the game got at the same time as the Steam release, they removed the cutscene.
He actually has a cutscene or two in the current version of the game, you just have to die to one of his soldiers to see it. The other one I believe is one of the possible campaign intros you can get.
game reeks of that charm of 80s B rated crime movies with those cheesy dialogues and barely serviceable plot, even the multiplayer urban legends and single player campaigns previews look like hardcover for one of those and that what sold it to me (that and a small discount and all DLC included when it released on steam) (And to be fair, game runs pretty smoothly on PC, as they fixed most of the stuff for the year it was egs exclusive)
Glad to see you finally uploading again! Just wanna add as a quicl note the dlc plotlines can show up randomly during a normal campaign run like any other heist, so unlike the plotlines once you beat them you actually get to use the rewards in a run
thanks for letting me know. I played a couple regular campaigns after the dlc and never saw them, guess I got unlucky. It's weird that the game would present those rewards to you when you don't select the regular campaigns.
Watching the HL2 documentary and seeing all the work Valve put into their facial animations in 2004 makes so many modern games so much more funny, this game included.
Agree about the weapon levels. It only works in like a looter game and then it only works because of rarity of drops from killing enemies and running dungeons...gives a dopamine hit.
This game just saw Cyberpunk 2077 adding famous Hollywood actors and succeeding and just said ”well how hard can it be to succeed with Hollywood actors in the game?” And they ended up not succeeding in the way Cyberpunk did.
I'm surprised your channel has blown up. Didn't you only have around 500 subscribers when I first found you a few months ago? Very nice to see. Yeah, is anyone old enough to remember The Surreal Life from VH1? It was a 2000's reality show where they put washed-up, has-been celebrities into a house together and "filmed the hilarity." So it was basically Celebrity Big Brother, but the "celebrities" were even less well known. That's what this game is: The Surreal Life 2006. You know what else came out in 2006? Saints Row. And they at least had Keith David, Michael Rappaport, Daniel Dae Kim, and Mila Kunis in it, and was produced for about the same budget. Anyway, this game is funny, as long as you never take anything in it seriously, and didn't pay more than $10 for it.
Nice video it was entertaining to watch. Overall I'd have to disagree because this is my favourite game release of 2024 (well, launching on Steam anyway) and I've been having so much fun with it. But the issues listed are valid and the devs should work on ironing out the quirks. But the way I see it the game doesn't take itself too seriously, it's purely there to entertain and it's also easy to pick up. Cheesy voice acting and 90's moviestars aside it's a fun game. It has character. As for comparing it to PAYDAY, I myself put 2000 hours into PAYDAY 2 on PC, which is already a 10 year old game, but in comparision to PAYDAY 3, which released im the same year as Crime Boss, 2023, this game is so much better. Of course it's not at all totally compareable because a singleplayer rougelite campaign game is different than what PAYDAY is. I'm not entirely sure about the update and game version situation for consoles, like if they are behind compared to PC/Steam, but you missed out on talking about multiplayer and the Urban Legends mode, as well as you didn't complete all of the heister stories, like Chase, Ranger, Cracker, Jupiter and Wiz. Also in celebration of the Steam release, they held a promotion where everyone on all platforms was able to claim the 4 existing DLCs at the time for free. Plus a hefty discount. I got this game for 16 dollars on its Day 1 Steam release and that was a bargain.
1:35 You'd be dead wrong in that regard. Payday 2 is a piece of shit that has suffered from years of downgrades and bad design decisions over the years in every single aspect that it no longer resembles the game it used to be. The only positive about it is that it has a ton of content, but is that really a positive if majority of it is of really bad quality? The only good Payday game is the 1st one which is PC and PS3 exclusive, but Crime Boss is still the king of the heisting games because it doesn't really have any competition, wouldn't even call Payday 3 competition.
@@remyrichardson8614 I have 2372 hours on it, most of which spend on overhaul mods because the modding community was able to fix it. Also have a few old ass videos on the channel.
I'm 100% convinced this was a money laundering scheme. Otherwise this has all the check marks of a small dev on Kickstarter with more ambition than sense. How they managed to get presumably at least 10 million worth of voice "talent" is still a mystery and I assume we ain't never gonna know until Mr. Trejo gets old enough to not care about nda's

Yeah a lot of cutscenes were removed, real shame
De aged michael madsen looks like Frank West in Dead Rising 4

Just lemme play as Danny Trejo and gimme a button to say random oneliners. Boom, Instant masterpiece.
I was trying to remember where I saw Kim Basinger last...and it was as Vicki Vale in Batman (1989)
i forgot this even came out

Payday 2 got better with time for sure. The fun Payday 2 experience I think of wouldn't even be possible in PS3 versions
