    as a non-American I always marvel at the dedication you need to stay fit in America. The portions are ginormous and there's food ads everywhere and God knows what they put in the food. Much respect.

      Portions are indeed big. But the food is not delicious. In the chain restaurants anyway. Cheesecake Factory, Denny's, Five Guys, Pop eyes (even the chicken sandwich) etc. All hype.

    I had a set back as well, I was determined and went from 240lbs down to 185lb and the set back was I had to get neck surgery in august. In 2 months I went from 185lbs to 205lbs. Yesterday was my first day back training. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 203.8. Your videos are very inspiring and motivating. All a set back does is push u for a major come back!

      Facts!💯 And that concept doesn't only apply to food. Making the decision to indulge in anything & being underwhelmed by the experience SUCKS!! Definitely makes me weigh the risk even heavier at the next opportunity.

    One meal a day bro. Organs (digestive system) working hard all day when spread those meals out.
    Insulin is the main hormone that causes fat gain

      Brah i was buff and toned last year, got a little depressed therefor lazy, im back to square one again 😔 fat again but i started on 400 push ups a day.

    This is so interesting how genetics plays into things. You pack on weight so fast whereas if I did the same thing I’d maybe gain 2 pounds. Just goes to show how everyone is different.

    Brix - I started my weight loss journey in 2017 and successfully took off (and kept off - ayyyy) 100lbs. Your channel was one of, if not, the first exercise channels I found. Your advice paid off 10x

    The “I’m just not feeling it” moment is a beast. That’s what separates us from those who never succeed. We build the habit of doing things when we don’t feel like it regularly.
    Floyd Mayweather once said “you’ll never always be motivated, that’s why you have to be disciplined.”
    When I have those lazy days I just focus on getting there and not so much how intense, and those days eventually pass.

    My wife got covid, then daughter, then I got it, then another daughter got it. This took my out of my workout sked for three weeks (last workout was 6 October), and I came off my diet. Tomorrow (1 Nov) I get back in the saddle. The struggle is real! Love your videos.

    I don't know how well I agree with all this. I think it all comes down to what is popular in your area. If you're a thug in a low income area you're gonna attract women. If you're a football player at your school you're gonna attract women/girls. I don't think drinking and smoking and being a lazy bum deter women. How many women do you know who complain about their piece of shit junkie ex but date another guy like them or go back to that ex? How many young people are getting laid at parties smoking and drinking? You might not meet quality women that way but they probably look good. That's what it mostly comes down to, your appearance. I lost 160lbs and until I did that, and developed an appropriate mindset accordingly with my behavior in my new body, nobody wanted me. I think people are thinking too far into it. If you're fat and your personality is awkward then that's about it. You can be as shitty of a guy as you wanna be but if you look good and have something to offer that's popular in your area, money, drugs, danger, intelligence that's all it's about imo.

    There are roughly 3500 calories in a pound of fat. In order to lose 20 lbs, you would have to create a deficit of roughly 70,000 lbs within the 10 days that you originally wagered on. The suggested "healthy" rate of weight loss is about 1-1.5 lbs per week. Not saying it's impossible, but it does seem a bit unhealthy.
