We get more sun in windows in winter here in the UK. Most of my plants start blooming Jan - Feb when the sun hits them hard on the south exposure site. In summer I'm shaded as the sun is too high to reach my windows ... That may explain your winter bloom :-) Thank you for sharing the video :-)
I love my Thai pink and I always think I should add more lipstick plants to my collection. I had never seen variegated ones 😮 on to my wishlist they go
They are one of my favorite plant genus. I have 9 different species. I find with my bolero it needs high light and it doesn’t like to get completely dry out. Thanks for the video.
These are so beautiful! I have a scooby-doo which I love and find very easy going - my only issue is I get quite a bit of flower drop while they’re still in bud. Probably inconsistent watering but the flowers tend to be hidden, facing the window anyway so I’m not missing much!
I have an orange blooming lipstick and a mona lisa lipstick. The leaves are completely different. The orange has elagant, thin serrated leaves with points. The mona lisa has super thick short inflexable leaves like a thick leaved hoya. I want the black pagoda and the veriageted now lol
They totally remind me of hoyas as well 🌿🌿
Thank you! Went out and bought my first lipstick plant!
yayy! so exciting!

ahh that would make a lot of sense!! and since mine was in the window, it was getting much more sunlight in the winter! smart!
This came at a perfect time! I just got a lipstick plant!
That bloom reminds me of an anglerfish. Thanks so much for sharing! 💜
I have mine in my bathroom but I live in Colorado(very low humidity)so besides shower time no additional humidity and my two lipsticks do fine 😚
Thanks for highlighting your lipstick plant Emma!

My pagoda lipstick is constantly blooming under my grow lights. I water when the leaves get soft/pliable.
I got told too use tepid water for the aeschynanthus
