My wife and I were driving out of state, middle of a desert, still had to drive 150 miles at only 40 miles an hour due to cat was plugged , finally made it to the city , Purchased this stuff then drove around the city for about 5 miles , and boom had full power back and check engine light came off !!! Made it home fine no issues this stuff works!!!!!!
P0420 is a cat efficiency code, this will almost never be a O2 sensor. You can drive for a long time and the code may never come back, this is because the car tests certain emissions components every drive cycle, every car is different but usuallly if you drive it for around 150 miles without shutting the car off, at that point the car has most likely completed all its test and if the check engine light does not come on then is a good change it may never come on again. One thing to note is that cats don’t usually fail on their own, they usually fail from misfires, oil blow by and just bad engine problems. So without fixing these issues first, you are at risk of ruining a new cat in a matter of months. These chemicals are more of a prevention thing rather than a quick fix.
My wife and I just completed a trip from the Dallas area to Crested Butte, Colorado. It is about 850 miles each way. About 2/3 of the way there, my check engine light came on. I noticed no difference in performance or gas mileage. I went to O'Reilly's in Gunnison and had it scanned and got the 0420 code. So I bought a can of Rislone Cat Cleaner since I used to use Rislone in my motor oil. I failed to read the instructions and just dumped the can in a full 30-gallon tank. After I got home, the light was still on. When I made the first trip after we got home. The light went out on the short return trip home. It is still and I am very happy. So it took almost 900 miles but it worked. Next time I will read the instructions. I plan on using this product as preventative maintenance.
I poured it in my gas tank today and the check engine light was gone in about 3 minutes, but i believe because my cat was dirty and it work my 6 cylinder runs like an 8 cylinder right now, lot of engine power... I also use the rislone complete fuel treatment and this is the first time using this one.. loyal customer as of today
I tried this and had p0430 code. I ran it on 1/4 tank on Nissan qx56. First time was as directed... But I ran 2nd bottle but ran the bottle close to empty before refilling. And it cleared the code.
My check engine light was on and I had to register my 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. California requires a smog test every two years. My mechanic told me about a similar product. He said to fill thank half way with Chevron 91 octane, and pour product in. He said as soon as the check engine light went out, immediately drive to the smog place and get tested. Passed! Within a day or two, check engine light returned. I was able to get a couple more years out of the vehicle. Donated before the next smog check due.
Well at least you tried it and it very well could still work I’m not sure how many times you can take it through to see if it passes before they say you have to have it repaired by a shop and bring the receipt to them to get it to pass that used to be a thing here in NJ but they since dropped that policy and deemed it unfair but hay thanks for sure it was definitely worth a shot. 👍👍
By far the best out there...my car drives like brand new...heaps of power...the smell is gone...my check engine light and pending is all gone👀i drove a 2015 kluger grande 231000kms from Brisbane Australia..best tip..is try and rev up it up as high like 4000rpm or over when drive..don't just sit at a steady speed..try and give it a rev to blow out all the crap in the system..thats how i did mine..also..i did a 3 minutes 3000 rpm while park..cheers
Hey Andy, I like your videos. I have used this product before and it has worked very well . I have a question....... I am replacing my Valve cover gaskets on my Pontiac Fiero. Can I replace them without pulling the engine ? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and keep up the good work 👍.
I used this stuff Sunday on an Accord 2010 v6 204K with a P420 code and a Salvage title for a head end wreck. Car runs great otherwise. Car is in shop today with blown head gaskets. I just bought this car for $3000. Normal sale price in above $10000. I'm just saying. i fix stuff and cars are what I do best. ♥
I dont get it if the sensor itself is defective, this solution will not fix the issue. It will only tell you that your Catalytic Converter may need to be replaced at some point. Also i installed a new downstream sensor but accidentally broke off the thread from actual converter. So would cement for muffler keep it together in a form or adhesive?
It has worked for me. I’ve got a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia and I use it 4x a year. The best thing to do is not to overfill your DEF tank with DEF. I see so many truck drivers filling up their DEF tank like it’s a diesel tank. Also, don’t fill DEF to the top when it’s cold outside because the DEF will expand and crystallize.
At most inspection faculties they will reject it if the battery has been disconnected. The system has to show a full drive cycle which can take a couple hundred miles to register on the ECU.
@@PhillipsVision not in my case it didn't the night before I disconnect the battery terminals next day reconnected check light was out during the state test and passed thx
My car had the check engine light on, sputtering, losing power, and shutting off at intervals of 5-20 minutes consistently. I was told by the Dealership, and two other auto repair shops, that my car needed to have the catalytic converters replaced. I decided to try this product before spending $800.00 - $1,200.00 on new catalytic converters. I dumped the entire bottle into a 13 gallon tank that was full. In addition, I dumped a full bottle of Heat, methyl hydrate, into the gas tank, and poured a full bottle of LIQUI MOLY MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment, 300 mL into the oil. I have been driving around the metro--phoenix for nine hours, only stopping occasionally occasionally at a Circle K store to go to the bathroom, get more ice, and more Arizona Ice Tea Fruit drinks. he cat hasn't sputtered, jerked, shook, or quit we poured it into the tank.
@@ChrisEllenback why would you be trying to clean the exhaust system of a car that won’t start? There are clearly other issues that need to be fixed first.
I bough an suv .at an action. They cleared out codes so check engine was off. It runs great and quiet. But didnt pass smog check. Then i did try it the same product and light came off. When i refueled .it came back on.. so 20 some dollars for nothing. So am going to change it.

How long did it clear it?
@@smmaistheway for about 6 weeks. I then ran 2 more back to back and it never returned
That's interesting. That's not an easy code to remove. And you certainly will fail vehicle inspection with that code. Among others.
How long until you ran the second bottle?
Positive, works, 100%, the more you run the car the cleaner and more powerful it becomes, I put it in my car and it made it like new

Unfair? To whom? Just curious, because now I’m wondering why bother having emissions testing at all
Why did it fail if light was off before emissions? What did i miss here? I guess the diagnostic at the shop was much more advanced?

Yes, you’ll need to remove the intake plenum, fuel rail, lower intake manifold and then you’ll be able to access them.
Appreciate the help Andy 👍.
Thanks for the video.
when you filled the gas tank. I think it's a good idea to fill up 93 octane. I'm not sure what gas octane was there
This stuff works!! Hands down the best!!!!
Do i really have to run it non stop until empty after filling it full? Or can i take a few days to get it empty? Thanks
@@justinm1882 you can take a few days
Good thing you try thank you

It’s comparing cost of product and the run up mileage ( cost of gas) and time.
Maybe s-end more on , say, Cataclean and run less mileage.

It says you may have to start the car up multiple cycles for light to go off
