I would be super impressed if I saw an Engl Richie Head, looks like you're using noiseless Lace pickups which is not a bad choice. If you pushed the mid range of the guitar you'd sound less jangly and more like the warm sustain he had your sound is too scooped. Which makes me wonder if you are pushing the amp with an appropriate overdrive as he used the preamp on a tape player because of the midrange. So a tube screamer would work well Level = Max, Tone not high because it's a strat and Drive should be as much as you need to compress your sound to thicken and sustain with nice harmonics still. If there were two guitars the current one would disappear if the other hand midrange dialed in.

Still working on getting the tone dialed in, I was always more of a Les Paul player, so the Strat is a bit challenging. I've worked on it a bit more since this video. I was running a Quilter Tone Block head through 2x12 Mojave cab with 30w Celestions. We also played a set of Queen and a set of Led Zep that same night these videos were shot, so I needed a very versatile rig. A Boss ME-80 gave me the tones, and yep, their Tube Screamer type drive is what I used here.
