Tangled is one of the best Disney animated movies in recent time. Rapunzel, Pascal and Flynn Rider are iconic characters that are funny and weird! So today we decided to reaction to this amazing film and in a full movie fashion!
#tangled #movie #reaction - Розваги
People say that Mother Gothel wasn’t actually a bad villain but they don’t realize how much mental and psychological damage she did to Rapunzel.
No no no! She was a villain she manipulated a child for 18 years!!
I would be very concerned about anyone who says that. Or jealous that they can't see how awful she is.
Nah shes evil, she has an actual daughter also who she neglects and fake loved while she cleaned and did chores, despite the child loving her she couldnt care less
Or just the fact that she kidnapped a baby
@@giannicolamatteo8155 Where?
I don’t know why but Tangled seems to be so underrated. It’s legit the best disney princess movie. Severely underrated!
facts i genuinely enjoyed this as a kid
It's better than Frozen
@@mcnuggwtscreationsThat’s why Tangled got an animated series. And I heard it was really good.
Literally everyone loves Tangeled, it's rivaled only by Frozen.
Rebel is better
When Mother Gothal says "I love you most", she kisses Rapunzle’s hair, the source of her immortality. It is so subtle that I didn’t notice until someone pointed it out.
thanks
Is she immortal? I thought she was just using the flower for anti-aging
@@Alici_Evans there is different levels to immortality
aging can be seperate from undamagable
I noticed that as a kid and I was shocked lol
Fun fact: she is still alive, she's known today as cher.
I personally don't get how Frozen got so big, while movies like Tangled or Moana didn't get the same type of attention.
Let it go definitely skyrocketed it's popularity
Yeah!! Looking back into the Frozen movie. It is just a very basic plot and the knowing the last 3rd act was changed last minute. It does show how rushed it was
I think it was mostly the music
I feel the story did changed the gimmick of princess in distress and the handsome prince been the hero. Sure Tangle does the same thing where the princess is a much more self reliant, the handsome prince is a criminal and the songs are fun and catchy too. I mostly believe people got more scared of Mother Gothel, of how manipulative and the mental trauma that build up the entire movie, and I believe some people got flashbacks, while the Hans situation was similar, but was more unexpected and shorter. Also I feel like Elsa's self isolation and anxiety, because of her condition, must it felt more relatable in specially in nowadays where people got more aware of this. Anywho this is my point of view. Both movies are great and I did felt Frozen hit much hard than Tangle and made me see it few more times, but got more tired some because of the overhearing Let it go and how pushy the marketing was going on.
I think it’s mostly due to the music. Like I love the songs in both Tangled and Moana, but neither of them had a song as huge and influential as Let it Go.
Without going off on a tangent about my own life, I found Mother Gothel to be a scary accurate portrayal on narcissistic mothers and their daughter. Whenever she gives Rapunzel an actual compliment, it's to her hair, not her. The little details that most people don't catch with their relationship is almost like a spotlight to kids who know that brand of abuse.
real. shes so well done tbh
Its even more messed up that she has a biological daughter that she perposly neglects and treats her like a medievil roomba
There’s a whole cinema therapy video dedicated to her I think
that sounds ai generated
Would recommend Cinema Therapy's Tangled video for more on this

There was another watch/reaction channel that did Legally Blonde, and they were like “I liked it except that the nice professor turned out to be a creep, I really liked him until he did that.” And it’s like, yeah, that’s how it feels when someone you trusted turns out to be a bad person. You feel betrayed.

Fun fact: When Rapunzel tells Flynn that she knows that something brought him there: "Luck, Fate..." and he responds: "A horse?" it's a joke not only because that's actually how he ended up there but also because apparently in the original fairy tale (or at least in some versions of it), the guy that saves Rapunzel has a horse named "Fate".

I can't believe they didn't make a single joke about how the kingdom in this movie is literally called *_Corona._*
They literally say that "it's a Covid movie" at 4:16, I thought they were not gonna shut up about the kingdom's name lmao
Well, the name wasn't revealed until Tangled: The Series. And they haven't seen it yet.
@@thatswhatshesaid2777they say it in the beginning of the movie though
@@MUN1RA. No, they just say that a kingdom sprung up; they never said the name
The arc of Jack gaslighting his friends into thunking Rapunzels name is Tangled is absolutely amazing
Give moments. Plz.
Apart from the cgi, this feels like it's from the Disney Renaissance. In other words, amazing. Rapunzel and Eugine form such a strong romantic connection, maybe the strongest in any Disney film. You can feel so much true love between them. Both Pascal and Maximus are hilarious, (but especially Maximus,) and even though the king and queen never speak a word, the anators telegraph their dialogue perfectly. You know exactly what their saying and how they feel.
Agreed
Whenever you see the parents, prepare to get your heart broken.
In the tangled tv show they actually have the healthiest romance seen on screen of any Disney couple. Complete with “I love yous”, kisses, arguments, fights, support, accepting of different beliefs, and 3 failed proposals.
It’s a great tv show and recommend for anyone who likes tangled! It’s not just for kids and you can tell the creators put a lot of love into it.
Tangled gets even more interesting once you discover how Rapunzel was actually based off of a Catholic saint named Saint Barbara who was martyred and locked away in a tower by her own father who tried to keep her away from Christianity.
That's a wild story

It’s a shame Tangled didn’t become as popular as Frozen.
If it allowed it to avoid such an abhorrent shitshow of a sequel, I don't mind it being a bit underrated ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The frozen sequel was so ass
I’m surprised the guys didn’t spend more time simping for Mother Gothel, I was expecting a least a few “yes mommy”s 💀
Well, she is not build to have mommy vibes, which I appreciate because she is more a mental abuser than a kink abuser. Also I don't want to hear any rule 34 bs about this movie, I had enough from Frozen.

@@FratoiuAlex sure, I’m just used to them being down bad for various characters lmao. I don’t even look at r34 so don’t worry

There's a pretty funny headcanon out there that Maximus was a human general of the kingdom, who simply refused to give up his position after being cursed to turn into a horse. Really explains a lot, actually.
The fact the tear-reviving Eugene/Flynn at the end is reminiscent of the waterdrop bringing the flower to life at the start of the movie and makes the tears bring someone back to life thing actually make some sense is actually incredible.
In another version or Rapunzel, the Prince gets her pregnant, and the witch blinds him and casts Rapunzel out. Then he finds her and the babies while wandering in the desert and her tears restore his sight. And they lived happily ever after
This movie WAS my childhood. She WAS my Disney princess.
And she still is.
Did you have a thing for her?
Eugene is by far one of my favorite Disney characters of all time. The obsession with his nose, and the constant smolder looks are GOLD. 😂 I love watching this movie with my little brother and sister. ❤

I loved every single time Moher Gothel arrives under the tower, just returning from eternal girlhood wild searching, and then proceeds to shout upward to her step-daughter: "RAPUNZEL!! SPILL THE MILK!!"
Fun fact: In the brazillian dub, Eugene was dubbed by a famous tv host called Luciano Huck, however his performance was terrible since they later revealed that he recorded all his lines in less than an hour and just got away with it, thankfully he didn't work in the series!
You guys should definitely watch the series. It is amazing, and “Ready As I’ll Ever Be” still goes hard!
They said they won't be doing the series unless this vid "gets like a billion views" (Eden's words) unfortunately
Tangled was such a good movie it makes even better when spilling the milk does it.
Yeah
No
When Tangled takes place gets even harder to determine when you consider it canonically takes place within the same universe as Frozen, likely within a decade or so before Frozen 1, and in Frozen 2 it's shown that photography exists, meaning that Tangled takes place at least in the early 1800's despite the setting looking like high medieval Europe.
I'm sorry....WHAT IS SHOWN TO EXIST IN FROZEN
@@cakes4494 At the end of Frozen 2 they show a photograph of Mattias and Halima.
I think it’s just a known fact that princesses make cameos in other princess films. Tiana was there too and she’s from the southern US lol
I believe it canonically takes place in 1810’s - 1820’s.
I initially skipped Tangled. I saw Frozen, because everyone raved about it, and thought it was one of the worst movies Disney ever made. So, I watched Tangled out of morbid curiosity next, and was shocked by how much I loved it. That old man character is laugh out loud funny with his expressions and the whole tavern sequence is pure gold.
If you guys do the sequel tv series(which is pretty dang good), keep in mind there is a forty minute pilot that is usually not with the rest of the show. It's weird, but they separated.
While the show sadly gets off the rails and ends on a severely lower note than the one it started at, mostly due to "we can't do drama but we gotta do drama" syndrome, I wouldn't mind seeing these guys react to it. Might be a bit too long one for them tho.
@ewormXD They can watch select and important episodes though like what they're doing with Gumball.
Unfortunately they said they won't be watching the series unless the video gets like a billion views (Eden's words) or they manage to get 2000 subs in a month on Twitch (Kor's words). Prolly not happening, but idk how much they would vibe with the series given the tone and direction it takes at times lol. Enjoyed it myself, but there are a lot of obvious kid targeted plots and filler episodes along the way.
@@ewormXDah, sad you think that. I think the finale was great. Season 1 has the best songs but Season 3 has the second best with Cassandra and Varian’s arc. But I love drama and don’t think it felt forced at all. I can relate to Cassandra a lot so I definitely appreciated it.
Also, it is a fact that Disney cancelled the show and there were going to be plans to elaborate on Zhan Tiri and Demanitus but they never got to actualize that.
@@shadamyandsonamylover Cassandra learned about her biological mother being an evil witch who abandoned her and kidnapped Rapunzel for her magic hair instead. Being JEALOUS of that is absolutely the last reaction she should have.
Varian also had a pathetic motivation. He caused his father's (apparent) death and when Rapunzel couldn't help immediately because the entire kingdom was threatened, he immediately turns evil?
In both cases what could've led to some interesting character exploration became an excuse for "they evil now".
But hey, if you enjoyed it, more power to you
I love it when tangled said "its tangling time" and tangled all over the place
4:16 "Its a Covid movie"
Ironically enough the kingdom is called Corona
God damnit! 😢🤣😭😆
Gothel is one of my favorite Disney villains, because she's so manipulative. She doesn't just manipulate Rapunzel, she also manipulates the Stabbington brothers to get Flynn out of the way, then she betrays them and gets them locked up. She's great at making herself seem like the hero. Even when she's clearly in the wrong, she says stuff like "great, now I'm the bad guy." She honestly scares me more than most Disney villains, because she's so real. People like her exist in real life, and I've known a couple of them.
I love Tangled. I honestly think it is a better movie than Frozen in all aspects, with the exception of the music.
I totally agree!
I personally prefer Tangled's music over Frozen's.

There was a video essay done that paints Gothel "better" as a villain, it's a case that if you cut the first 5 minutes of the movie, the intro of Gothel, and just right in as normal without knowing Rapunzel was kidnapped, then Gothel becomes the twist villain at the end since you as the viewer don't know that Rapunzel was kidnapped

Funny thing about this movie - a few years ago, it was rumoured that Disney would do another adaptation of the Rapunzel story, only in live-action. But then, somewhere along the way, those rumours got mixed up to the point where now they suggest it’ll just be a plain-old live action remake of the Rapunzel movie they already have, namely *this* one. And I can’t say I don’t believe it, because the standards for these remakes flew out the window as soon as they announced the Moana remake (which still feels like a joke). The rumours also point to Florence Pugh playing Rapunzel, but that I don’t believe- my money’s on Jenna Ortega
