- This is the presentation of the Architects3DP MEGA Project. You will learn how to build a big size and industrial quality DIY 3d printer step by step.
The Architects3DP MEGA is our most ambitious project so far here at Architects3DP. With this series, I'm gonna show you how to build a big 3D Printer, but also with industrial quality components for a low price.
First of all, in this first episode of the series. I'm gonna present you the main features of the printer, as well as the sponsors that make possible this project.
Due to the BIG size of the Architects3DP MEGA 3D Printer, you'll be able to print with dual extruders, big size objects in real life scale.
Almost all printers of this size, will cost you a fortune. However, you will be able to build the Architects3DP MEGA while keeping approximately the cost of the Ultimaker 3. Notwithstanding, you will get x38 times the build volume of the Ultimaker 3 for the same price. Crazy!!
Buy an Ultimaker 3 here: amzn.to/2YAEfJy
Instead, if you want a standard size 3D Printer, definitively check out our Architects3DP i3 series, where we built a 250 x 240 x 200 mm DIY good quality 3D Printer for under $200.

Cool and ambitious project! I like the quality of your channel. 👍🏻
Thank you very much Petri! :)
congrats on all the great sponsors! @ the sponsors: thank you for supporting this cool project!
This looks like it will be a great project. I really look forward to following it along its way.
Thank you Pete! :)
COOL, a new video! i am so excited
Thanks, thanks, thanks!! =) =) =)
Looking that !! thx
Awesome, just subscribed! I first saw your Lotmaxx SC-10 video since I just got one and then saw this. I really want to build this printer! 👍✌️
that's cool! I wope to finish the build very soon
NO WAY, this is awesome! it is so big, what a surprise =D so cool, I am very excited. Are there such big heatbeds???
we'll build one!! ;)
As you can see there are several people interested in your project and I am too. However it seems the project is now dragging along. Not mocking you would just like to see this move on to completion. Good design so far. Thanks Neal
the new (?) outro is awesome!
thank you!
Very nice. Please Design the hotend for a 0,8mm nozzle to keep the printing Time for large Objekts reasonable 👨🏻🏭
Thanks for your comment! About the nozzle, of course =)
Please for heatbed it will be full heat for all build volume or will be small area for small print. I mean tow part when I have small print only separate from heat
the plan is to have the option of turning on just part of the bed, or the entire bed to make big prints =)
I am very happy for this project. I looking some 3d print, but IT was to expensive for me.
I'm glad you like it Wojciech :)
Nice machine! How did you come in contact with all these companies? Did you just email them your project plans?
Yes! I explained them my idea, and they loved it! So they wanted to support it as sponsors :)
Once finished if you were able to possible create a long video comprising everything from a parts list, assembly and programming of this 3D printer that’s a video I’d be willing to buy the plans for. For now I’d be willing to try and watch every video
Great Idea! I’ll try!
Great printer and thanks for sharing!
Would the cost be around 4,000 US$ just to confirm?
yes more or less
I'd like to see if we could work together in the future! I'm working on a recycled plastic factory and would like to implement recycle 3d printing!
What is the best 3d printer for beginners
You can start with the Architects3DP i3 if you really want to learn. If not, just buy a pre-built and cheap printer to start :) you can check out my channel where you can find several reviews
How is this coming along?
I hope to re-take the project very soon
There aren't any in the description!. Anyway, good video!
sorry.. any what? 🙏
