It’s amazing how much difference depth makes. People who are not really into tools, or use them daily don’t really understand how much of a difference a couple inches make.
I was looking into buying the Drop Top Box, but I used the top of the box to place tools that I use throughout the day like a tool bench. It should be nice if they divide the drop-top in two (with the options to choose from 50/50, 60/40, or 70/30 divide of their drop-top cover), so the other half can stay close as a tool table and the other half can be opened, whichever side of the box needed to be opened to get other tools as needed.

I've got a triple bank tech box without the drop top and love it. I would recommend mac boxes to anyone. Great quality and their customer service has been top notch at the 800 number. My local dealers have been pretty shady though so I buy most of my nicer tools from the snap on guy.
back in 1995 i bought a top pc for my matco that was about 8 inches tall or so that fit on top of my 8525 lower box similar to what you showing ,i loved it then i bought the top tool box with all drawers and moved that pc to the very top made the box look huge when i had the lid open , that mac box bought back that memoriesof that box
That drop top really emphasizes “tool chest” and I love it. I already have a snap on krl, hutch and locker but would definitely look into a Mac drop top if I ever needed more space
The thing about the lock with one drawer open and then you can close it with the box locked - snap on boxes are like that too. Give it a bump, not quite a slam and it will close and lift the lock mechanism up and past in the rear of the box.
I recently got myself a macsimizer cart. It is amazing. I was considering a matco but I'm glad I went with the mac. Its deeper than the matco and is made to order so you can set up the drawers however you want and go crazy with colors. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it
Great thing about any Mac box (except the edge series) is you can configure your drawers any way you want. If you want all 4” drawers or want a big top drawer with small 2” drawers underneath or basically whatever you want. It’s no extra cost. I’m definitely gonna swap my matco cart for one after I pay it down in a few months
I like when you said the purple one is sharp looking and also sharp cutting as well hope your fingers heal fast it will be a pain to work for a while till you figure out how not to hit them on everything
that drop top is cool, but you have the small snap on cart, my snap on cart is 24 deep x 42 wide, so roughly the same size, but i will say, mac knocks it out of the park with the depth of the top section, how the lock system is set up, and mostly, the power strip set up, mac definitely nailed those features
I just nearly have my Epic box paid for, thanks for showing me that box it holds 2 1/2 other box sets I traded in. Care full with the finger you will hit everything with it.
A lot of nice colors.., I guess I’m still old school, Snap On red.. Snap On needs to come out with one called Panties Dropper now, like the good ol’ school women calendars they had back in the 70’s and 80’s. Then people could get one of each, Top Dropper and Panties Dropper.. 😂 Owoooo 👍🏼
a good 20-25 years ago matco had a larger drop top box called the satellite series, always wanted on im old and old school, thinking of trading in my S-O top and bottom I've had for a good 30 years for that mac box and macsimizer cart in the blie with black trim. its cool you got a mac guy now, i do like mac tools more than ill freely admit. i just wish they offered colors on the ratchet handles
You know those are beautiful tool carts, but if/ when they add the Split top to these particular Macsimizer Tool carts I most definitely would buy one.
They are made in China or Taiwan and partially assembled in the US. Any time you see made with "Global Components" it is lawyer speak for "Not Made in USA".
My Matco box locks a drawer pulled open after I lock to box too. Wouldn’t really say that’s a selling point. Mac makes some awesome boxes though! Wish I had a Mac dealer
3rd I'm not a huge fan of red, but that red cart looks really good. And that srop top is a like a small work center. Seems handier if you dont need a full on hutch, but a place for a laptop.
Gud pricing... But in our country no matco dealer....only snap on ...and some other company but thea don't make gud tool box....i wish I was in USA....

Probably shot you up with some painkiller local. Im very impressed by that MACSIMIZER HD tool box, saw their company video on it. WOW, outstanding 400lbs of tools in a drawer. Lots of technology. I need to dig to see if you have any comparison on all SnapOn, Matco and MacTools top of line boxes side by side. All in one place to look at.... Compare height, width, extra lockers hutch etc..... That would be the SHOWBOAT show
@@KoonTrucking my hand swelled up so big... other guys helping me dropped it because it was so heavy but I held on lol. They made me finish a head gasket job anyway after I stuck it in a bag of ice. Thats back when going to the doctor was a no no
Beautiful Boxes..... I like the idea of the lift top on the full size box.... but..... I think because of the way i use mine as a bench, it would not work for me.... but those roll carts are nice.... I like the extra space compared to the snap-on.... but then again.... i think i prefer the slide tops.

Never knew they made a "drop top", kinda neat. I use the top of my box to stage parts, clean tools, etc. Don't think i would ever like a drop top. Just my opinion.
My cornhole box is same size as Mac but has same drawers sizes of snap on. I'd rather have the drawer layout of Mac. Thats why was looking at matco for my next 1 cuz you can order drawers how you want
I have that mac box and I regret it. The top is cool in theory but there is zero support in the center so if you put anything moderately heavy you can see it sag. It's good for car mechanics or people at home but not in the heavy duty world. I'll be getting rid of mine this year lol

What's the difference between the tech line and the macsimizer line. I know the macsimizer is the more premium box, but what extra features does it have as opposed to the tech box.
Ya know, I dont care for MAC toolboxes cause our dealer tried to stand in one like you can with snap on or matco but it didnt go as planned. With that being said, I'm very tempted to get this box because of how unique and functional that top is

I have been looking for a nice at home box. I think that MAC cart would make a lifetime homeowners box for reasonably good price.

that drop top is cool, but you have the small snap on cart, my snap on cart is 24 deep x 42 wide, so roughly the same size, but i will say, mac knocks it out of the park with the depth of the top section, how the lock system is set up, and mostly, the power strip set up, mac definitely nailed those features

My matco 4S drawere do the same if they are locked but you forgot one wasnt shut all the way you can still shut it and it locks

Toolbox keys,I keep one on my key ring and the rest are in my gun safe.If I lose that one,I know where my other keys are just in case it happens
