Just found your channel saw the car and you hurt badly. You never came back so I guess I’m talking to myself but I wish you’d rebuilt her. Hard work but it’s doable. Hit looks like it’s above the sills. Pull her out get a donar roof and maybe even drop it a couple a inches. Still I’m guessing this crushed you. I drive a 1965 Chrysler Valiant AP6 and I love her. Pretty much stock but I have some old jelly bean mags on her and my wife let me get a new 3 inch exaughst put on her as a Christmas gift in January this year 2024. Just saw the crash with the bloody semi. Shit mate. Wish you made an update love to see how you went. Saw the old Wagga Wagga sign that’s where I live now. Born in Albury grew up in Griffith.

Must have been a hell of a shock, and heartbreaking after the labour of love you put into the car. On the plus side you survived a hit that could have killed you, and you made a wonderful tribute video. Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, and looking forward to the next video.
I got off lightly physically, unfortunately the car is completely destroyed, the damage in the photo in this video does not really show how much damage there is. I will have a video up next week of the car at the towing holding yard, the viewing.
@@FCCOOL The main thing is that you’re ok. I’m wondering if you have a roof cut, b-pillar and a sub frame could you rebuild it? If you frame pull it could you resurrect her? Let me know if you need a straight sub frame 😀
Yes probably ,going to throw it in a Z frame for a laugh and weld the b pillar back in and try a few pulls on the 3 pillars and the sill or cut the sill off and pull the floor and pit a new outer sill on, then look for a roof ,subframe and B pillar. Still haven't got the car back yet.
@@FCCOOL Hope it all goes well. When I find an engineer to approve it I’m putting my wagon on a Toyota Crown chassis and making a custom floor. The purists will disapprove but better to save it from the crusher in my opinion. Hope we’ll see yours driving again. Look after yourself.👍🏻
If it means that much to you it's worth rebuilding. I'm sure you've seen Erik Bana's Love The Beast. My HQ was written off while parked in front of a friends house, so lucky for me I wasn't hurt. I used a second write-off to rebuild it.
Thanks Craig, I only took a couple of days off work, still haven't got the car back yet. the ambo guy was pretty certain i was going to have some bad internal injuries but they are probably used to dragging people out of late model tin foil cars with pop out cushions in the steering wheel for safety.
Man so sorry to see the old girl be destroyed I remember you back in the Newcastle speedway days in the Friday night burnout comps I had the little blue 4 door Gallant with a 308 in it and my green 84 Gemini I used to run up there almost every weekend.
Yeah Friday nights on the burnout pad at the end of the 90s was fun, and the burnout masters 1999 was proving our pad to be getting pretty serious, such a shame we lost our speedway to developers.
Being a DAF it would be automatic and Raj the Curry eater would of been driving it. I have an Immaculate unrestored EJ Holden sedan I brought as a 12yr old Paper boy. Im now 60 yrs old and to scared to take it out of the shed. I reckon id go into murder mode if it was touched. I sincerely hope you get her back on the road mate. Ive seen the car in Newcastle as im only in Karuah.
Yeah it just started to slide on the freeway straight into the guard rail. I have been driving up and down that freeway for 28 years, after hitting the gaurd rail I was cleaned up by a b double
