Remember Tommy Vance playing Runaway by Bon Javee on the Friday Rock Show. Next day travelled from Nottingham to Shades in London to buy the album on Import. Maybe bought Vices by Kick Axe same day? Down hill for me after that first album.

I never understood why American Bandstand always had bands lip sync. I guess the bands had no say because they were new upcoming bands that needed the publicity and didn’t fight it.
Shows like AMERICAN BANDSTAND and SOLID GOLD were such shams. Such shit! And yet, it was the only place where we could see our rockstars being "live onstage" if we were too young to buy a ticket. I hate the fucken fade-out and pullback trope! God-DAMN!
