Awesome review. I picked up the FT at retail price, but wanted the option to display him in all his modes. The KO solves that problem quite nicely so no need to triple dip so you speak!
Nice! I also really wanted the FT version. Always felt it was the most detailed and accurate to the G1, as well as looking great in all 3 modes... Which is not easy to do. But, by the time I knew it considered it, the prices are stupid high. I'm not paying well over $400 for it now. So glad whoever made this one. Really want to get it. Only thing holding me back is I already have the MS Astrotrain and Blitzwing. Both pretty decent for their prices and they are in equal scale and quality to each other, I think. So, the MS triple changer pair I have are a good set as is. If I get this KO, it would just be a nice standalone. Then again, I'm curious how it compares to scale to the recent Blitzwing (Legends?) At least in robot modes, are they about the same scale/proportions to each other? If so, might be a reason to get those 2.
Recent Legend Blitzwing? there never has been a Legend Blitzwing (legend is the small 2 inches tall scale) maybe the recent Legacy Blitzwing? No doesnt compare AT ALL, that Legacy Blitzwing is Voyager size (3-4inches) while Astro Train is like MP class a good 8-9 inches tall.. RP-44 Thomas do scale nicely with DX9's Blitzwing... he's huge and solid just like Thomas ;) I think he's the better of the 2 MP class Blitzwing we have so far (the other is Dikta, but i dont own it so i cant really compare)
@@Tef-Tef sorry, I meant Legacy.. thanks for you insight. Yeah, I thought about it again just seeing how long/tall the KO Thomas is to you hand and it's at 2x taller than the Blitzwing Legacy one.
@@Tef-Tef That end up WAY more expensive. Total amount to 163.49$... AMERICAN. Meaning over 212$CAN! So that AliExpress option is much cheaper. But thanks to your review, I see that this "Thomas" is not for me.
@@Tef-Tef Yeah but add 43.50$US of shipping to Canada and there's goes the deal. Even more so if customs hit on top. I ordered two "Chibi Bruticus" sets from Sirtoys because the difference in price was around 1$ compared to the cheaper AliExpress option. It's been 4 days and no shipping notices yet. I'll see how this one will go.
Yeah bro I paid $380 for asstrain like a month before it was revealed and now the official is like $150 less than what it was when I bought him so I’ll never make my money back lmfao

Darker windows, head tilt (easy fix) but also the robot is a darker grey to FT but its not a huge difference

Toy World TW-06C Evila Star is my favorite astrotrain. Its pretty expensive now, but well worth it.

Found one sold without original box but it's still 163$CAN shipped.
I'm really tempted though.
sirtoys is 156$ +sh link in description... shipping depends on location and which type you take

If I would’ve known they were going to make a KO I would’ve waited and not wasted a lot of money on the fans toys version
