Fun fact zombies and humans react to you flashing a flashlight at them while under a hiding area (if u flash at them they will come to you and wander around and after maybe a long time they go away
The volatiles stand on your table because they can see your flashlight but they can't see you. So they're stuck in a loop of walking their path and investigating the light. Turn off your light and they'll walk away
FYI in this game Spike has the voice of Sergant Redford of Bad Company 1 & 2. That voice brings back sweet videogame memories. Just waiting for Haggard and Sweetwater to give their input.
@@Griffin-rl5hy While I agree, it feels more polished and alive than Ubisoft games. Polished not in the way of optimization/bugs- plenty of those, but polished in that it doesn't feel like the devs ctrl c+ctrl v'd the entire world and every single location/building. The world is reasonably unique for how large it is, the activities, while repetitive, are also in unique buildings that don't look the same, and doing those "repetitive" things like getting outposts/fast travel points actually feels good, so you don't mind it, as it's honestly more fun to take on them than it is to follow the story/quests. And they're all unique in one way or another, even if the main goal/gist remains the same. And by alive I mostly mean that Ubisoft games in particular just feel incredibly dead and empty, not that DL2 is great, it's just average on that front.
The only choice that effects your environment and story, is the first water tower. Yup, thats it, thats the biggest impact a choice has. PKs-Lose bazaar, pretty much everyone from there is gone. Lose the pk base. Survivors-Blow up windmill. Lose alberto. Also last time i beat the game, it earrape bombed me.

Thank you Stryxo, finally someone talks about the combat, the amount of bullshit you can do is comparable to the arkham games now I just need a Nightmare Mode because I hate myself and want to suffer
Something I realized zombies detect you faster with your flashlight on including when you hide near any volatiles or special infected(when I say hide I mean in hiding spots around the map)
I've never seen any bugs in my 80 hours of playtime and im pretty sure the choices are important and making changes, cuz i finished the game like what 3 times i guess all of them was different. Plus in my second play i did not exploded the windmill.
I love this game but they should bring back the weather cycle...it's either sunny or night... No rain no thunder no lightning..the evening doesn't feel like
I was really pissed with the false marketing about the "multiple endings" and the control input bugs at launch, but I tried it again a few days ago, and I'm fucking am hooked. I completely forgot how detailed (and fair) the melee combat is, not to mention, yeah, you have a great point about the characters being engaging despite the fact the main plot feels contrived. I liked the good ending, but the others feel unnecessary for the story the devs were trying to tell.
i beat the game once and did majority of side missions but once a new update came it, it pretty much told me my saved game was useless because it doesn't have the new update to the game which killed my joy of playing the game and some safe zones still don't work and near one of the bandit towers from the story mission there is a spot that says I haven't explored but there is nothing there. Even the survivor sense wouldn't work for the longest time which in certain missions you need it. This game was fun for one playthrough tbh.
YES! That is why I find myself playing DL1 and now DL2 more than any other game is the immersive and gorgeous open world and the incredibly addictive and overwhelmingly satisfying combat!
They just need to add mod support. I just wish theyd combine both of the games with all areas. Including theyre original dead island titles with them areas as well. Like i get that deal went sour but dang can you just imagine all of those areas in one game combined it would be so much more fulfilling
X-13 quest- The facilities power was turned off while the missiles were armed. In order to save his daughter he needed the facility to gain power once again to use the equipment, rebooting the mainframe started the missile launch sequence, a simple continuation. This was an unfortunate side effects that happen when trying to save her life. Look bro I skipped each cut scene and conversation and I still understood that much.
I agree with everything except the choices. I played the first couple of hours alone and later joined with my friend and we were both confused bc we apparently did completely different missions from each other. Also whole side quest lines and areas of the maps can be unlocked, blocked off, destroyed, or restored due to your choices. And characters that live or die for that matter too. I do think it's weird what ultimately determines your decisions sometimes. Like in the beginning I mainly sided with peacekeepers but when I had to assign the water tower I picked the surviors bc I wanted ziplines. So even tho I sided with peacekeepers all the way through I still destroyed that peacekeeper owned windmill and technically sided with the survivors by the end of that section of the game. I also think some minor characters are sidelined due to these decisions like in the video when you mention Herman or what ever his name was lol. I dont think its revolutionary game decision making, but it's definitely better than what we always get in games where every choice doesn't matter except the very last one.
I played through the whole story and more post ending content on PS5 and I didn’t see any bugs through the whole playthrough until after the ending where some missions where impossible to complete
6:25 they don’t just stand on the table for no reason. It was because you had your flashlight on. The zombies can see the flashlight in this game. It’s harder to be detected if your flashlights off and you just use the survivor sense
Man Titanfall 2 and Dying light 2 have become my favourite games I just love movement in games. I love the voice acting but I can't forget that he's a voice actor for beaststars it leaves a slightly sour taste every time I think of the voice separate from Aiden
When I was on the last mission I was at the part where you get in the car but my game crashed and IT THOUGHT I COMPLEATED THE MISSION. and I'm still very salty that i could not finish the game.
At first I really disliked the game- it's art style, and direction it took comparing it to the 1st game. It just felt happy and cheerful while the 1st was really scary and dreadful, which seemed to be more fitting to a zombie game, I just disliked the cartoon-y loot system and graphics. But after playing it a bit and getting past the initial shock of how different it is- I'm loving it, and am completely addicted 15 hours in, and keep saying "just one more thing" playing it, and that "just one more thing" drags on for hours.
I started watching this video as “Is Dying Light 2 Worth your time?” Then halfway through im suddenly watching “Dying Light 2 lives up to the hype”……Stryxo please give me an award for ’most receptive viewer’ i swear i won’t dissapoin-
thing that gets me the most about this game is how a major chunk of this game was made 3 years before the irl "pandemic" ever hit yet the parallel narratives between the game and irl are a little close to home. so either the game was nowhere near complete before 2020 (probably the case) or this is all a mass conspiracy and the rona vaccine will make you all zombies (why i never got it) just waiting on my paraglider to come in the mail and im all set. good luck in the sequel the third installment gonna be super realistic.. PSA this whole comment is a bad joke please dont read into it and get political on me
The game also just doesn’t mention that everything including the zombies will react to the flashlight so that vnc tower mission I was doing in pitch black because I turned my brightness down because I wanted to torture myself for some reason
I randomly encountered a glitch where the ground just didn't load, and I was able to jump through it, at the time I was playing with a friend but it didn't happen for him It might be an og xbox one moment
Please play the first game. The combat has so much more presence, without being just a view model melee weapon. The parkour isn't completely negated by the first parkour upgrade you get and a goofy infinite grappling hook. I mean, some platforming sections can be skipped partially because you jump so high. I promise you, the things you like about 2 are much better in 1.
I played through all of the story with my friend within about the first week of launch and the only bugs we really came across were 2 objectives being bugged so we had to rejoin the session. And that wasn't even that bad. It seems that most people just got far more unlucky than us, and the fast travel times are scary fast. There's absolutely no load times unlike DL 1, you just appear in like 2 seconds after triggering fast travel.
I really love the 2nd game even if there are some glitches here and there but I think it'll take a while for it to compare it to the first game just because the amount of support it game while DL2 was in development. Honestly I feel like they could've made the virals more scary, idk about anyone else but there's just something that made them more scarier in the first game
I can agree with a guy which one is better if he didn't even touch day 1 and just talking about my 2 is an improvement or not and made a whole video over it.

really should play the first one, it's one of the best zombie games ever made, only really being beaten by L4D2.
Fun fact zombies and humans react to you flashing a flashlight at them while under a hiding area (if u flash at them they will come to you and wander around and after maybe a long time they go away
The FIRST water tower does impact the story arc of old villedor
6:27 they stand because of your flashlight
The volatiles stand on your table because they can see your flashlight but they can't see you. So they're stuck in a loop of walking their path and investigating the light. Turn off your light and they'll walk away
It is honestly impressive this came out before dead island 2
🤣 fuckin rip
Dead island 2will release on 2077 and compete with dying light 12
FYI in this game Spike has the voice of Sergant Redford of Bad Company 1 & 2.
That voice brings back sweet videogame memories. Just waiting for Haggard and Sweetwater to give their input.
10/10 for gameplay 6/10 for story. I give story a 6/10 because I atleast wasn't bored out of my mind during cutscenes.
i loved jonah scott in beastars so much and in dying light 2 he went all out his voice is nutty
“There’s not a lot of parkour games” proceeds to name many alternatives 😭
I got the best ending where the survivors rule the city and Lawan becomes my travel buddy.
I fucking love DL2. I honestly thought Jonah was Roger Craig Smith again. I genuinely haven’t come across any bugs.
First game was Zombies with Parkour, second game is Parkour with Zombies.
Damn stryxo your channel has been doing amazing! Very happy to see the man I have been watching for about 1 year now getting the attention he deserves
Bro that Jonah Scott introduction and mention is hilarious 7:18. You should cover Beastars some day even though it's not video game related lol.
You NEED to play the first game. It's an incredible experience. Two entirely separate types of game at this point.
Dying light 2 feels like a Ubisoft game
*Sees video praising Dying Light 2
"Damn, game looks fun, I'll have to buy it and give it a shot"
*Remembers Elden Ring is coming out in less than 24 hours
"....well shit."
Broadcast was honestly one of the best missions I've played in a while
Just kinda sad that the weapons don't bounce anymore when you hit enemies. Seeing a full swing all the time kinda removes the "oomf" factor.
Hermon doesn't die regardless whether you fight him or not, he just disappears regardless
I love this game but they should bring back the weather cycle...it's either sunny or night... No rain no thunder no lightning..the evening doesn't feel like
There rain and thunder in the game
I think there’s only three water tower/electricity places that actually affect the story. Though it really doesn’t change it that much
I was really pissed with the false marketing about the "multiple endings" and the control input bugs at launch, but I tried it again a few days ago, and I'm fucking am hooked.
6:21 They can detect your flashlight. Turn it off, and that won't happen again
The chase scenes for me are not as intense as DL1
More companies should stop worrying about Lauch time and more about the quality of the game
YES! That is why I find myself playing DL1 and now DL2 more than any other game is the immersive and gorgeous open world and the incredibly addictive and overwhelmingly satisfying combat!
I actually love this game even through its floors to be completely honest
When I sided with the PK I didn t have to blow up the windmill, idk what choice made that happen but that s not a forced mission
How can I be wrong if I didn't care enough to have an opinion?
I would have liked the game more if it was more darker, more ruthless immersive.
Play the first then
@@VainSick I did, that's why I wanted to be just like the first.
They just need to add mod support. I just wish theyd combine both of the games with all areas. Including theyre original dead island titles with them areas as well. Like i get that deal went sour but dang can you just imagine all of those areas in one game combined it would be so much more fulfilling
DL2 is a disappointment bc the bar was too high but tbh they dropped the ball
When I first played this game I thought the person who voiced Kyle also voiced Aiden
Price of Persia..... lol. Coffee everywhere. Thanks. Now I gotta clean this up.
I completed it at 90hs, everything but the weapon upgrades and its endless grinding.
7:03
Ah, I’ve finally found someone who also appreciates Hakon’s beauty, I would gladly be his first husband
6:28 no they just see ur flashlight if u turn it off they will walk away thats a nice detail i tried and it worked
Sonic unleashed music is S tier for no reason
6:25 they don’t just stand on the table for no reason. It was because you had your flashlight on. The zombies can see the flashlight in this game. It’s harder to be detected if your flashlights off and you just use the survivor sense
6:33 actually need for speed was the first to mix the score in chases depending on what you were doing back in 2005
Man Titanfall 2 and Dying light 2 have become my favourite games I just love movement in games.
I love the voice acting but I can't forget that he's a voice actor for beaststars it leaves a slightly sour taste every time I think of the voice separate from Aiden
Hello Stryxo, Good Job
i agree but somehow , the fun just left me once reach the secound zone . I dont know what it is .
When I was on the last mission I was at the part where you get in the car but my game crashed and IT THOUGHT I COMPLEATED THE MISSION. and I'm still very salty that i could not finish the game.
You are on of my favorite UA-camr love watching Your content
At first I really disliked the game- it's art style, and direction it took comparing it to the 1st game. It just felt happy and cheerful while the 1st was really scary and dreadful, which seemed to be more fitting to a zombie game, I just disliked the cartoon-y loot system and graphics.
But after playing it a bit and getting past the initial shock of how different it is- I'm loving it, and am completely addicted 15 hours in, and keep saying "just one more thing" playing it, and that "just one more thing" drags on for hours.
I did not have any problems with the loading screens, max time for a loading screen for me was 3 seconds
i believe the voice for aglot is the same voice actor for the exo male in destiny
I started watching this video as “Is Dying Light 2 Worth your time?” Then halfway through im suddenly watching “Dying Light 2 lives up to the hype”……Stryxo please give me an award for ’most receptive viewer’ i swear i won’t dissapoin-
Holy shit I'm 11 minutes in and I just realized you do vids with wild spartan you're awesome man
thing that gets me the most about this game is how a major chunk of this game was made 3 years before the irl "pandemic" ever hit yet the parallel narratives between the game and irl are a little close to home. so either the game was nowhere near complete before 2020 (probably the case) or this is all a mass conspiracy and the rona vaccine will make you all zombies (why i never got it) just waiting on my paraglider to come in the mail and im all set. good luck in the sequel the third installment gonna be super realistic..
PSA this whole comment is a bad joke please dont read into it and get political on me
The more I play the more I love this game and now I feel like I'm Jonah Scott all day lol
The game also just doesn’t mention that everything including the zombies will react to the flashlight so that vnc tower mission I was doing in pitch black because I turned my brightness down because I wanted to torture myself for some reason
just wish the main story was longer.
I randomly encountered a glitch where the ground just didn't load, and I was able to jump through it, at the time I was playing with a friend but it didn't happen for him
It might be an og xbox one moment
Such a precise & mapped out video. I enjoyed this 🤙🏽
I can agree with a guy which one is better if he didn't even touch day 1 and just talking about my 2 is an improvement or not and made a whole video over it.
only thing i miss from the first games combat is the bone thing u could see zombies bones breaks and they walk differently depending on what bones u break
never forget the first mirrors edge that inspired this game to even become a reality.
I haven’t been playing it much, but it’s fire, I can’t wait for the dlc’s
i kinda have to say I got massively DIFFERENT results when i gave the water tower to the peace keepers, you still get involved but i didnt blow anything up. not sure what google is on about lol
anyway great video! im gonna do a replay cause i do believe choices do matter and you do get diffrent missions. depending on what you do. and (spoilers) depending on which side you choose it really makes the other side feel like the bad guys, like from other games, but you know there not completely bad so i think thats really cool
I don't know i liked waltz but that was likely because of his voice actor was really good.
sonic unleashed music goin crazy frfr
