Great video as always, Ryan. Been following a long time. You met my fiancee, Rachel Adams the other day. She's an agent that hosted a showing for your home. She said you happened to be there and walked her through your toy room. I had VIP at Star Wars Celebration while she was telling me all about it and sent me some pics. Started collecting with Endgame Captain America and spent all day today weighing the pros and cons of the Mark 85 Battle Damage and the Mark V reissue as my first Iron Man figure and wound up pulling the trigger on both. Awesome to see a glowing review of the Mark V hours after I sealed the deal! Both should look great on display. Picked up a classic Spider-Man too.
Lol I did the same thing with the battle damaged 85 and the Mark 7 a while ago
Honestly, not a bad call getting them both. It's really up to you if you want to get every Iron Man - finances and other priorities not withstanding but in terms of uniqueness, the Mk 5 is a great choice. As for the Mk85 BD, if there was only one Iron Man figure anyone should get, it's definitely that one because of what Tony did in Endgame. Mk 21 Midas is also a beautiful piece if you were considering.
The opening segment was very creative. The Iron Man Mark V is incredible. I have the original version and this version is almost identical. Supposedly, the arch reactor on the original has a little more detailing. This has to be one of my favorite Iron Man figures. The posing portion of the video with Whiplash looked fantastic. No one should pass up on this figure, especially if you are an Iron Man collector.
I also have the original which I just got about a month ago. It is a must have. I’ve been wanting it for a long time and didn’t have the patience to wait for the reissue. I’m just glad there isn’t a major difference if not I would of probably want to get the reissue.
Beautiful. One of favorite suits ever since iron man 2 came out. Still holds up. Quick change of subject. I have come to the conclusion that I officially hate batteries for hot toys. Especially for die cast iron man figures. I probably spent an hour figuring out where they go, how they go, turn on all the switches, put pieces back without breaking them, put accessories on figure, do a pose or two, just to have them die on me then pop all the pieces off again to turn switches off. Sweet lord Jesus help me. 😤

I will happily watch you destroy that Whiplash to dye the pants orange on camera. It has been a mod I have wanted to do for awhile but haven't determined the best approach. I think in the past previous collectors tried or did use bleach successfully to make it orange. Take that for what you will, I would imagine it was just a small amount on a Q-tip and then lightly applied to the pants.
(kung-fu grip was just the fancy name they called the rubbery flexible hands they gave GIJoe's later releases so they could hold things. The British versions of Joe, Action Man had the soft hands a few years before the American versions). I remember watching that posing video, great pose! after seeing a few of the reviews of this figure I've been very tempted to buy him but I've got the suit-up version on pre-order. Maybe... thanks Ryan!

Great review. I watched this review at least 6 times. Finally. I got mine today. I had a blast just trying to figure out how this figure works. The Mark 5 is my 2nd Iron Man figure.

I would join Patreon 10 times over or at least once; if you could do a video on the best way to balance finances and collecting. It doesn’t have to be anything personal or dig into your life; but paying cash vs credit. Using companies like Affirm, how to best budget or use an excel sheet. You seem to have a very strong grasp on how to plan it all out comfortably, while always handling your responsibilities. It would just be great to see your tops and advice on the finance aspect of it. I believe all collectors new and old; may learn something new or add their own tips in the comment section. Phenomenal review as always, your content has always been top notch.

Great review as always! I think you can pull down the legs to have more range of motion, I’m not sure if you covered that or not.
So the real question is.. if I already have the OG mark V should I do the upgrade or should I stick to my old version..more diecast more fun...right?

Mark7 is my favorite suit .......then the Mark42 .............Mark5 comes in after and the rest start to blend in all Yellow and Reddish LOL
Iron Man Mark 5 is one of my favorite out of all of the Iron Man suits because that one is similar to the cartoon version of Iron Man where he had the Ironman briefcase majority of the time and it's funny to me that this Iron Man suit on Sideshow cost less than that did strange unbelievable

so my? is this. and everyone mite know why, but even with a reissues why didn't they do it in all diecast like the other figures. still a great figure and I have it coming when they start shipping it.
Too bad they didn't include a small filler piece for the throat when it's looking up.... Similar to the neck piece for the portrait.
