I was really chuffed when Don Cheadle took over as Rhodey. He added humour, charisma and kinship to RDJ's Stark's friendship. And he looks super-cool in 1/6 scale. Top review, Justin.
Best MCU war machine design hands down. The F-117 inspirations are on point and the slightly more bulky/armored suit isn’t overkill or too thin. Perfect bowl of porridge right here.
The other War Machine suits aren't bad by any means. But there is just something so tank like about the first one without being overly a tank like the final Endgame version. It still looks like a suit they could wear on set. I would really like them to kinda go back toward this for Armor Wars.
Great video. Did you know the lights on the hand light up also The on and off switch is behind the guns when you fold them down. I also a have a set of fully articulable set of hands Be blessed
Finally I just got mine, I really like this armor, if not for the reissue I wouldn't be able to get it...I love the last pose you did, it's the first figure that looks good in every angle in the super heroe landing
I wonder if the War Machine Mark 1 gattling gun is interchangeable with the Punisher War Machine gattling gun. I see the two uses the same mould, the problem is the punisher one doesn't use a machanical arm, but a ball peg, I wonder if this gattling gun can be detached from the mechanical arm.
@@JustinsCollection gonna be making a cosplay of it soon, always loved the mark 1 War Machine, the chunkiness, the ruggedness, the amount of weaponry visible, so good!!!
I missed my chance to get this the first time. Justin I think you and I both know that I’m not passing it up this time. Once this gets released to Sideshow you can bet I’ll be purchasing this!
This design was definitely the peak of WM for me. One of my favorite things about it is the classic style helmet. I have him paired with the HT Punisher War Machine. They look, oh, so good together. Killer combo. Also, congratulations on 750K! Well earned.
@@JustinsCollection spent a whole aftetnoon putting war machine on display and can't get that compartment on his back to open. Read the manual as I attempted this too. I only managed to put the batteries on his helmet only
this is my favorite armor for war machine! missed out last time but will try getting one. sold my mark 2 war machine to add funds to getting one of these lol
I think that this reissue is a good figure and it has so many gimmicks that a kid could think it’s a toy, but I kinda think they focused the battle damage on the torso. Still, it is an amazing figure. Good review Justin😊😊😊
6:32 Do you think the closed helmet (either that one or the light-up) also looks tiny compared with the body? I agree that, with the plate open, the face looks tiny. But the closed helmet looks ok.
I own the original diecast WM 1 and this reissue even though identical still astonishes me. But I do think it is missing 1 right handed salute that came with the 1.0 diecast version. It's too bad Hot Toys doesn't make new diecast IM/WM like they used to, with included battle damage parts ie; WM mark 1, IM 6, IM 7, etc. Unfortunately they've gone to an Era where you must buy 2 figures, 1 clean version and 1 battle damaged. Oh well. Great review as usual 👏
Just ordered this bad mama jama through my local comic shop. Missed the original release because I wasn’t collecting when it first came out. REALLY looking forward to this one
I missed out on this the first time around, so I am happy for the re-issue. I will be getting mine on Monday. I think this is the first one of my Hot Toys’ Iron Man/War Machine figures that I will display in battle damaged mode. You did mention in your review that this is the bulkiest of all the War Machine figures. I don’t have the End Game War Machine, but it looks to me as if that one might be bulkier than this one? Which is it?
@@JustinsCollection I gotcha. I mistakenly tend to think of both War Machine and the Iron Patriot as the same - but I guess I realize now they are not.
A bit late but just realized that the decals on it's left side are not accurate to the movie...damn he's even different in the movie from his entrance scene to the final battle...😞
Here I am, a year later, I finally have him in my collection, so far this is the heaviest figure in my collection, and it’s very imposing. Now that I have War Machine I also am starting to think on getting the Mark VI to have along with, sadly my economical resources are not going to allow it (for now)
The unpainted plastic in the calves hinges is an easy fix. Just dab some silver modeling paint on it (carefully of course). This is one of the perks of being a miniature hobbyist.🙂
@@JustinsCollection That's understandable. I agree that it's something you shouldn't have to consider in the first place, as Hot Toys should've painted those along with the gatling gun barrels during production.
Does Toy world land ship to Mexico? I’m asking because I tried to buy the Sideshow’s version of Jango Fett, and when I was about to the payment, an alert was sent in my screen saying: “we do not ship to the selected country, please choose another count to continue with the payment”. And since I like the idea of paying for a figure over time, it just sounds like a good deal to me
Damn this looks amazing , way better than the last few war machine figures, Do you think this would look great in a shelf together with the new Iron man 1 Hot toys figure ( Iron Man Mark 3 Diecast 2.0 ) ?Or what other new Tony Stark Iron Man would look good paired with him?
All I can say, this re-issue is BOSS. The battle-damaged pieces are a nice option and set him apart from his "brother" Mk 006 War Machine. I missed out on his first issue, so the re-issue is perfect timing for my collection. Thanks Justin.
I'm happy to see you being the first to do a review of this re-issue. I just received mine yesterday and it is GLORIOUS. For collectors like myself that completely made the mistake of passing on/missing out on the first die-cast release, this is a dream come true that Hot Toys decided to re-issue it. This beast is beautiful and HEAVY as hell!
Question for you, Justin. Is the sliding "disc" on his back that the gatling gun plugs into feel a bit "loose" or "wiggly" when sliding it to the right and left? Mine feels a bit wiggly and just wanted to see if that's normal and not because a connector or peg is loose or broken on the inside of the slot. Thanks! (Also, it is a bit difficult to plug in the gatling gun to that disc because the peg hole is an extremely tight fit)
@@JustinsCollection Thank you for confirming! I think this is probably my most favorite HT Iron Man figure so far next to my die-cast Mark V and Mark III. It is incredible. Cheers mate. This is my favourite design for War Machine in the MCU I love how this figure looks
Awesome!
Same with me, apart from the endgame version this is my most favourite design

Where do I get this one???
I prefer War Machine Mark IV (Infinity War), but Mark I is my second favorite
