I love the fact that Kale is this serious, competent villain that's just *done* half the time cause he's surrounded by complete goofballs
I mean, the guy really need a proper disposal device. Would have saved him a LOT of trouble (instead of casually tossing the MP3 and the wand without even checking their destruction)

Kale honestly just doesn't want to do any real work either. He had everyone around him work on his project to subconsciously control people to want his products instead of making things better. He literally decides to blow himself up because it's all too much work. He presents serious and competent but is honestly terrible lol
Roqueforts "reveal", fight, and music was all absolute perfection. Easily one of the coolest bosses ive fought in a game.
I agree, cyborg werewolf that's totally awesome. I wish there was a game that had bosses like that, you know, more cyborg monsters from other mythologys.

Yeah I was like "so he beats them up unconscious? Nah, just belt is left, Rekka exploded" - "WHAT!? How is everyone so nonchalant about it - especially Chai???"
The game feels so light-hearted and then that? Would have it been so hard to just show bosses staggered / groaning on the ground / incapacitated?
Considering they wanted to murder Chai simply cause they installed him a "defective" prosthetic, this is basically a self-defence. Also, not six but three. Korsica became an ally, Zanzo is unconscious and Roquefort buried himself under his own gold.
I did get a little shocked when Rekka just exploded. "And now for her dramatic collapse--oh, nope, dead... Uhh, okay..."

@@redbaron9420 Gold is extremely heavy, though. But then again, this game isn't great at adhering to the laws of physics, since Roquefort swam through it like Scrooge McDuck
Rekka as a boss fight is so funny to me. We have female Senator Armstrong, with the mannerisms of Recoome from DBZ, with DBZ Broly's death animation, all in a rhythm based beat'em up like No Straight Roads, with DMC rankings, in a cyberpunk world, with a massive helping of Persona 5 vibes, in the visual style of Slugterra.
It's great.
I knew Project Armstrong wasn't a random name!

This game just looks beautiful. Why are companies scared to take this artistic route? The humor and art style just works. Voice acting is great. It's just... Looking like a fun experience.
Corporate is usually out of touch with things I've observed. And also money, because making mediocre games works for some reason so probably better to not bother
cause even if it gets good critics this games never get the recognition they maybe deserve, specially having to compete against giants that will just beat them in sells. I didnt even know that there was a game of the same style called "no stright roads" that came in 2020 and actually looks quite good but as I said i dint even know it even existed until just today that i fount it casually in a video like this one. its just like those really good movies like Iron giant,treasure planet,rise of the guardians... movies that people loved and still love but where not that good on ticket office sometimes cause they got released at the same time as movies that got all the attention and the money here its the same the idea its not bad, people like it but the games that use this idea didnt show off like other titles like elden ring,god of war,hogwarts legazy....

A mistake I see some people make during the arms phase of the Kale fight is to attack Kale instead of the arms. Each arm may take 2 stuns to break, but each break takes a quarter of Kale's health, heck, 50% of the whole bar for the Z-shield arms.
I had that issue as well.
I'm not sure, if it's a design flaw or people trying to beat the boss.
That parry counter can save so much time, just do that and the regular strong attack combo. You're done with that phase before you know it.
You can break the arms in one shot if you use Y,X,Y move when they’re stunned. It does enough damage in the shortest time

dude itd be so sick if they release a dlc with a drummer instead of a guitarist and they play with more advanced rhythms like polyrhythms and swing time. im praying we get any extra content with this game its a gem.

I find it hilarious that it was cause of him he pretty much caused his entire plan to crumble to dust. If he simply put it back none of the events in the game would have happened. It's kinda interesting to think about.

If you look closely during the boss zoom chat, you’ll notice Korsica is the first one to notice Chai’s on screen instead of Rekka and that after Chai presents Rekka’s belt, Roquefort’s monocle pops out.🤣😂🤣😂

Ya know, I kinda wonder if Korsica actually had a decent relationship with Rekka, since she was the first to notice her absence, sounded concerned when asked where she was, and looked shocked when Chai held up her belt (though you can only see one of her eyes ghrough Chai's arm, lol). 🤔

Mimosa reminds me a lot of the Alligator voodoo boss in Sly Cooper. I'm getting the same goosebumps from this.

A more lighthearted NMH, though the murdering of almost every boss is still there, but if I had to be honest, if you gave Suda51 as much creative freedom and budget as he wishes he would probably make another Killer7

Watching Kale fight, all I could picture is him turning into one of the Unicorn Gundams with that final power up he did

Rekka’s soundtrack is my personal favorite. As for Mimosa, I kinda wish they did more segments where we had to mimic her. Reminded me of old music games on the PS.
