In this video we continue the progress on the NBS Silverado Single cab Dually build. In order to lower the front like I want to do we need to change the transmission crossmember. The stock 2500 HD and 3500 trucks have a really low transmission crossmember. DJM came out with a better option that sets flush with the bottom of the frame. In order to get this thing low and not drag the ground we need to install it. I also wanted to do an oil change because in the last video we poured seafoam in with the oil. While under the truck I noticed that the oil cooler was leaking. Instead of trying to fix the multiple leaks I decided to install an oil cooler delete. This removes all the oil cooler lines and fittings. I also replaced the oil filter and drain plug. We had a service engine light for the passenger side bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor. I also replaced this while I was under the truck. In the process of the transmission crossmember install from DJM, I painted the frame with POR15 to clean up the look. Before going back together I also replaced the transmission mount with a new Rubber mount. Getting closer with each video on this thing. Lots more to do. Love the cat eye dually
Thank you
As usual going the extra step.✌🏻
I'm trying to
Looks good!
On the oil reset, for every modern GM vehicle I've ever owned** it's been 3 accelerator presses to the floor.
** For me that's '96 and newer (I had a '77 Nova and an '81 K1500 Blazer, but I don't think either had an oil change reminder light).
I knew it was 3 or 5
Beautiful job Trav... 👍
Thank you Keith
Got her lookin good!!😎
Slowly getting better
Enjoying your content as always. Thanks
Thank you

U did ur thang on that duelly
Indeed. More to go
Great work 👍
Thank you
Looks much better cleaned up with the POR15. Ever had any problems with it peeling or flaking off?
Thank you. No I haven't had any issues
oil cooler shouldn’t have been removed. helps bring the oil up to temp faster when it’s cooler outside aswell.
Crazy none of the other vehicles came with them then
@@TWAMotorsports that would be GM saving a dime. oil to coolant heat exchanger should be on every vehicle. all the new trucks with LT motors come with them automatically.
Junk in my opinion
@@TWAMotorsports poor opinion. again, GM wouldn’t install it if it weren’t needed. ford and gm have been utilizing coolant to oil heat exchangers for decades and still do to this day. i’m glad your opinion is smarter than a team of engineers.
Do you homie. It’s your truck and I think you know what’s up. You got enough vehicles that you have the option to drive what you want when you want for the weather.
Do you have a update video on the Speed Engineering exhaust that you put on your green truck?
I don't. Still looks and sounds great
@@TWAMotorsports I installed an 18” mangaflow muffler which is pretty much the same style as the Speed engineering muffler & it is way too loud on my truck. I took it right back off & put the factory muffler back on. I’m guessing it’s because I have a 6.0 bored 30 over with an 11.4 compression ratio.
Could be. I am over loud at this point if my life
@@TWAMotorsports I don’t want or like anything loud. I’m going to remove the headers & install the factory exhaust manifold & y-pipe to test how that sounds. I will say that I regret doing a 6.0 swap. I know eventually I’m going to pull out my 6.0 & put the 4.8 back in. I can’t enjoy that truck with the 6.0. I have to put gas in it every 3 days. I rather have the 4.8 because it was pretty good on gas & I can drive around & enjoy the truck.
👍
Great series to bad your going to sell it
Maybe eventually
For having a 4 post lift why don’t you use it for actual work. Just wondering. I have a shop and I would never work on the floor when having a lift. Good video and info regardless.
Always has broke down junk on it. Also the dually is too wide for it.
I agree 100%!
Did you have bad luck with fram filters in the past?
