The first time I've ever played roulette, I went to a casino with my cousin.
Being the unluckiest person I've ever met he placed $300 on Red.
Knowing he is wrong 98% of the time I placed all my $400 on black.
50 seconds later the ball stopped on green and I never played roulette again! 😏
No more losses again!
Good for you.
Jesus I have seen players betting a lot of money on the numbers & outside but not a single chip on the zeros.
Guess you forgot to consider all outcomes that would make your unlucky friend lose. It happens. But Good to know that you’ve quit Roulette as it probably save you a lot of money up til now.
$400 on black is terrible
The casino wanted you to win. It's what they want - to advertise people winning big. $200K is peanuts compared to what they would get in return.
Casinos dont stack the decks or alter odds, its a weird superstition people still hold onto but all the odds are plainly shown and are available to all.
True
@@vesstig still every game in the casino has a house edge
yeah i think too , because he talked with everybody that he will bet it all .Many people knew it ,so the house can not enable him to lose ...that was his smartness.
Casino manager died a little inside ... "Dammit, a day's profit lost to Limey". 😂😂😂
😂
Their unlucky day!
Because of the media attention, it summoned more gamblers and made them money in the long run.
Lmao they make way more than that a day
Word for word stole this comment from the original video lmao
$136k in 2004 has the same buying power as $227,885.18 in 2024
I am sure is much more with all the grocery/rent prices now
@@dgolfere-wgt5194it is more like $360k
Stak IT Up to 333k i remember 2004 very well
As a roulette girl, this is very wild fun story. Glad it worked out for him.
Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult❤
People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.
Very possible! especially at this moment. Profits can be made in many different ways, but such intricate transactions should only be handled by seasoned market professionals.
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian.
Finding yourself a good broker is as same as finding a good wife, which you go less stress, you get just enough with so much little effort at things
Brian demonstrates an excellent understanding of market trends, making well informed decisions that leads to consistent profit
Wow... he was lucky twice. Once winning the money, second having that life changing revelation about his former self that changed him for the better going forward.
Surprised he got through airport security with how heavy his stones are
I was waiting for it to be green 😊
Hahahaha!
Me too.
He got lucky.
Dude was VERY lucky!
It's not 50/50, green can kill the bet you as well...
green/0 is the reason the casino always wins long term on roulette. even more so on the double 0 wheel
Winners get the champagne treatment.
Losers shown the door.
The philosophy of life.
Bunch of monkeys
Oh! I never realized that gambling was such a wise financial move. Why don't *more* people do this? Vegas, here i come, baby!!!
good luck living on the streets
@@DjangoGroen exactly!
You got this !
my heart goes out to him ,yeah take a chance, do or die life is short
Hehehe cool story. I watched it back in 2004. Woww 20 years ago ! How fast
Although he won , so glad he realised it was a silly thing to do. As is gambling period.
The first time I went to a Casino was in Salzburg/Austria and I got 30,- Euros as a starting gift (i cant remember why, I think it had something to do with my birthday or graduation…?!), i joined the roulette table, placed a 1 Euro chip on my birthday (24th) and 24 came. Why didn’t i put all my chips on it 😆
Such a handsome man. I don't get why he wasn't hooked and married.
If you do it again, bet either Pass or Don’t Pass at Craps. You have a much better chance than Roulette.
Ashley is a lifestyle nowadays.
Casino after this show 📈📈📈
Geez, that's nuts!
A 30 second video turned into 10 minutes?
Not if you fast forwarded it.
because he talked with everybody that he will bet it all .Many people knew it ,so the house can not enable him to lose ...that was his smartness.
bro should have let it ride
When i saw how many chips his life was worth got me thinking how many chips my life is worth. Kinda depressing to see everything you worked for summed up in a few pieces of plastic. 😢😢
The casino was probably happy too because of the publicity.
I am immediately selling everything and doing this😊
Didn’t know you could get paid to sell your name
Let it ride!!🤣
Risk vs. reward?? Does having $136K vs. $272K change your actual life as much as having nothing at all?!
Don’t ever look at yourself as a twit!! You came across an opportunity in life no one gets. Your mate pussied out. You grabbed it by the balls and went for it. You are a winner mate. 👍🏻
he would be a loser if black
Easy way of losing money.
Taxes?
Without risk, there is no reward. That being said... whew.
There is calculated sensible risk and there is stupid reckless risk
There was no risk.. he would have been paid by the TV company far more than he could lose.
@@lfcmonkeyyyman6229 only because it was back in the day, now a days TV shows have much tighter budgets
@@lfcmonkeyyyman6229no
At the end of the day, it’s a 50/50 chance if you’ve got the bottle to do it. Winning or losing is an equal chance.
It’s not 50/50 if they have 0 and 00
So like 45/55
Tell us you’ve never played roulette without telling us you’ve never played roulette😂
@@kevcoverssolosbro what no it’s like 48.5 48.5 3
I bet red. With zero money, lol. I just wanted to see how it'd turn out. Went with my gut. Did anybody else give it a guess before the answer was revealed?
I called black
Yeah right.. gonna gamble say 136k on one spin, but of course strike a deal with a TV company to document it, and of course, get paid far nore than the bet you will be placing so it's a guaranteed win win situation... NOBODY with more than one brain cell would risk all on o e spin of a wheel no one!!
the spin was fair but i bet if he lost they had a backup check for $200,00. and they'd just say they admired his bravery and don't think he should leave empty handed. because if he did lose and he lost everything they look overly cruel for taking that bet and telling him to get lost afterwards.
"Life Savings On Single Roulette Spin"... the greatest stupidity! life my friend is a marathon and not a 100m race.
Its sad because if it wasnt red, he probably wouldnt be with us today
Is he aware even now there are green numbers? Lol he said one of 2 would be right.
nice win
He only made the headline because he won.
I think the casino let you win knowing their was publicity on this . They know millions of people are watching and if you win them then people would be more inclined to bet big too on the contrary if you were to lose they would get bad publicity etc. casinos are a scam
its super illegal to rig a real bet in Las Vegas even for a tv show. that would mean everyone on set and in the casino would have to not talk about it being rigged for over 20 years. its also roulette. its literally 50/50. so not a terrible bet.
People like you will eventually will lose everything
Because you’ll keep going back just one more time !!!
Does not make sense ! London was the City at the start of the video. You sold everything in Dollars !!! You sold a BMW in London for dollars? A TV company made a documentary that you were obviously paid for. You were paid to change your name. You could not lose! You were making money and probably more than you were going to bet. How is that gambling your life savings? You only started to sell things and collect money before the bet , so how is that life savings? So basically you were going to bet a large amount of money knowing if you won or lost the bet you were still going to receive more than you bet !!!!! Joke.
Staged
Boring story, tittle tattle. Dumb thing to do, he did it anyway, so what…
Are you crazzzzyyyy?
Bullshit
Exactly. This was all a paid advertising scam for casino's to get idiots to do this !
Im all for degenerate gambling content but this takes the cake
Like this if you would never do this
"Like" this if you would never "like" a comment trying to solicit "likes".
Doing it now a days Yuh oud probably make the money back by monitizing it on social media!
