Dana 30 Regear and Ox Locker - High Pinion LJ Swap

Part 2 of the high pinion Dana 30 build for the LJ. Regearing with 5.13 Revolution gears and an Ox locker. Did not go perfectly smooth but I was able to get it done.

that is one sweet looking axle man ! Ive always been a fan of that locker with the cover it comes with, It just looks cool and serves a purpose which makes it better 😁!
I bought a hp30 a year ago but its just been sitting, Once i get 240 ran in my garage ill quickly do a truss Jhonny joints on it,gears& my current lunchbox locker, ball joints and call it a day
My BJ's are going bad on my LP30 so id rather do all the work on something i need/want

My yj has 3.07 i think wich is way geared to high even with the ax15 swap I did .I'm actually thinking for what really do in mine 3.73 would be fine for me .

Could find a set of 4 cylinder axles with 4.10s and throw them in

especially on a 42rle Automatic !

5.13 is the standard for a 42rle these days lol

The 42rle has a .69 overdrive. If you didn't tregear to 5.13 for a D30 or 5.38 for a D44, the overdrive would be essentially useless.
