  • This is the new refreshed 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and it brings a sense of style to the usually bland MPV people carrier market. New design keeps the car looking modern with its unique blade of LED lights and increased brightwork. This Citroen Picasso has a 2.0 litre BlueHDi diesel engine producing 150hp and 370Nm of torque. Citroen claim over 65 MPG combined.
Seating 7 the new Grand Picasso is exceptionally spacious and offers 165 litres with all seats on place, 793 litres with 5 seats, or a mammoth 2,181 litres with all of the seats folded flat.
New software on the 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system proves to be responsive and now offers Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link for Android. There is also lots of new technology including active cruise control, active lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and lane keep assist.
The new 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso costs from £21,935 and is on sale now.

I just bought one but the last model year. And I have to say that is a enjoyable car to ride and drive. For the small engine it have it is adequate. Motorway speed is easily achievable, the consumption is low and internally is very adjustable. It's a proper vehicle for myself and for my family.

After owning a C8 for 10 years (and it had no major reliability issues) I changed that 2 years ago (to save on running costs) to a special offer (end of line) Zafira 1.7 ecotech diesel which was very competent. Except for not being a Citroen... Just taken delivery of a 2017 Grand C4 Picasso Feel (with optional reversing camera) and I am thrilled with it. Just love the build-quality, performance and looks. It's the 1.2 t petrol since I wanted to leave diesel for environmental reasons even though the torque there was great, I have absolutely no complaint at all with the power available here. The only thing I'd change with the stop/start is, to have it automatically apply the electronic brake. Voice control is pretty impressive too, plus I enjoy switching over occasionally to french to give a continental atmosphere!

Pete Midgley Im thinking about buying one, petrol aswell. How is it going? Do you feel its a good motor for the car or is it slow and low power? Im thinking petrol because of the price, the yearly tax is also cheaper and because of the environment and the restrictions that it will imply in the future.

Good engines and powerful for their size responsive too. The facelift model has a better interface now even the pre facelift was okay after you get used to it

Citroen are on a roll at the moment, the C3 that you had an exclusive viewing of looks really neat too.
My one worry of Citroen is always the same though, long term reliability.
Will those duel screens still be working in a few years time?

Their design time are doing a great job. Generally speaking their reliability has improved a lot over the year.

Miles per Imperial Gallon: 40 in summary.I just bought one on March 2016, but the last model year 2010. And I have to say that is a enjoyable car to ride and drive.I like cruising and sportive. German motorways are somtimes free for high speed driving.A fantastic car with 150 hp.Exclusive model.

I have a 2016 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi 120 exclusive manual. I do around 700 miles a week in it mainly motorways and A roads and have to say very happy with it overall. It does struggle a bit going up hill on motorways sometimes which I guess is due to the smaller engine. The ride is very smooth and it soaks up the bumps, I never get out of the car feeling achey or tired.
I drive economically but I'm only averaging 56.4 mpg and cannot achieve the advertised 76mpg that Citroen state. Best I can do is 60mpg not including town driving. I'm only now getting this after 16000 miles, the first 5k the mpg was much worse.
As many have mentioned the touch screen controls are not the best. When you first start the car it can take a while to initialize and you can't access the heater controls immediately. The sat nav is clunky and you can't just enter a postcode you have to type the whole address in which is a pain.
The other niggle I have is the sun visors, even with both of them down there is a gap in between which lets the sun through, annoying.
Overall a great family car comfortably holds 5 people plus luggage, much better looking than the scenic and the drab looking Zafira.

+brokenswisswatch Are you sure that this is the same car? This car literally only hit showrooms a few weeks ago. The touchscreen is greatly improved.

The Citroen engines seem quite underpowered for a car of this size . The 150 ps would be my choice . would the 110 even move this car when it has 7 passengers onboard?
It's quite a nice looking car though

I'm glad I waited & opted for this newer version. The colours on the speedo screen were terrible. Every single one was dark. You've got white numbers for your speed but the most horrid of dark backgrounds of which you only had 3 to choose from. The new 2017 version has a much improved Orange coloured background amongst others.
My only slight complaint is the loss of the push to open pockets that were available in front of the driver & front passenger on the earlier Grand C4 Picasso.

    • @insidelane
      @insidelane  7 років тому

+Neal Killen What MPG I get varies wildly from day to day. Whilst the manufacturers MPG might not be the most realistic, it is at least consistent and comparable.

We've averaged around 49mpg over 10,000 miles of very mixed driving (including lots of local short trips) in the 1.6 diesel version. You don't go crazy in this car either so that helps with fuel economy.

How is this a review ? It's an MPV. Why is it the main point of having an MPV is space, which go's a miss in "reviews." I want to see the versatility of an MPV, ALL the seats down and rear measurements.. All these reviews are the same.. For what !?

we had ours for about 5 years, no problems at all (that was the 2011 one pretty sure) everything was fine, we sold it last years because it had done too many miles. never had any problems with it tho
