I gotta say I'm impressed with the variety of things you cook in that tiny kitchen. You make it look easy.
Thank you!
I always liked how u get straight to the video. No intro just straight to the point of how u make it.
Thanks! I do not mind short intros, but I cannot stand long videos.
Outstanding Michael! The cake looks amazing on its own, but the blueberry sauce took it to a whole new level of deliciousness!
I love blueberries and had to make this, thank you for watching!
Fantastic Michael! You are the real 'Cake Boss' in my book! I would go through half of this cake with morning coffee! Great job!
Thank you Larry, but you need to share with Birdie too!
+TheWolfePit
Cos half of it is *ALL* that'll be left when I've had *MY* breakfast! :-D
great looking cake love all the blueberries
Thanks so much :)
I will say I don't bake much but after seeing this amazing easy to make blueberry cake I really need to give it a try. Thanks for sharing Michael nice cake and video!
Thank you for watching. I would like to bake some more, but I prefer cooking.
I always enjoy what you make, but this time I have to rave over that bundt pan, I like it. I used to bake a lot when I was a lot younger, and I had one bundt pan. It belonged to my mom, nothing fancy, it even had one of the domes dented in. Lol! For some reason I never went and got another one. Then I stopped baking and to be honest I don't know what happend to all my equipment. Watching you guys on youtube woke up my love for baking and I've got my daughters getting new stuff as we go along. Stuff so expensive now a days. My daughters don't even blink. I feel like I was asleep for years and woke up in another time. Lol.
I wish you kept all your things, most are not made as well these days. Some of the best bakeware now (in my opinion) is called DoughMakers. I bought the bundt pan last year as I do not bake too much but needed one. It is a copy of the original bunt pan.
You, Sir, are THE best out there when it comes to cakes!!!.. Amen!
I am not sure what to say to that, but thank you very much!
***** You're welcome! One question tho, is it okay to sub milk for the lemonade? I think it may taste different, but wud it still be a cake?
Gayatri N It would still be a cake with milk. The lemonade gives this a great flavor. It is up to you :)
Thank you. Added to my to-do list!
Oh, my what a beautiful, pukerlicious cake! I would make this for a holiday treat, especially with frozen berries which are ready to pick now! Love the Strauss waltz in the background!! xoxo
This cake might make Betsy feel a little perky! I would love it if I could be close and share!
love that green glass mixing bowl
Thank you Ashley, it is from the '50s and is called Jadeite. The cake is better than the bowl though :)
~Michael

Thank you Marie, I can tell you like this!
I am making my original pound cake, I ran across your video and I will add blueberries and the lemonade to my pound cake and I hope it turns out good.
Something tells me your version of blueberry cake is a stand out. It looks like the perfect texture & I'm sure that glaze put it over the top. I going to have to try your blueberry cake & your cinnamon roll cake.
+kevseb66 The cinnamon roll cake is very good, this blueberry cake is nice as well. If I was going to only fix one, it would be this one because I am in love with blueberries. Thank you for watching!
~michael
looks so good Michael, i love blueberries ♥
I am right there with you on the blueberry love.
Thanks!
yvw sweetie ♥
This looks fantastic Michael!! Now I know what to do with that gallon bag full of blueberries sitting in my freezer!
I am jealous that you have so many blueberries. I love them as much as peaches! Sorry, I just had to say that.
I even love peach fuzz. Okay enough of teasing you.
Thank you so much Jason!
HAHA!!! You know how much I love the peach. NOT!! LOL!! And we stocked up on blueberries when they were $1.50 a pint on sale here. Couldn't turn em down at that price!
Crouton Crackerjacks Yes I had to tease you. I don't see how anyone can dislike peaches and that is why it stuck in my lame brain. When I was young, I would not touch strawberries, now I love them!
I'm going to make this! Thank you.
Thank you so much! I hope you love this cake as much as my family does!
~Michael
Another Job well done! Thanks for sharing. Got to make this.

Totally delicious looking cake. I love the idea of the lemonade in this Michael. Thank you for sharing. Yum
I went to the store to buy some lemonade and they did not sell it. I bought some lemons and made it. It puts a little more lemon flavor into the cake. I love blueberries!
Thank you Angie :)
Blueberries are in season, thanks Michael for this wonderful recipe... love the butter!
Oh Kevin thank you! You could use shortening but butter is best. A little butter and or spirits in the sauce would be nice as well. Thanks again!
***** BUTTER all the way baby lol... never was a fan of margarine, I use tenderflake lard for pie crusts, butter whenever I can. I am a firm believer in natural ingredients and PORTION CONTROL, so I am quite happy to eat fat and sugar rich home made treats, just not the whole cake lol. Sadly for our society my body size has gone from average to slim without my changing, everyone is getting bigger.
west-island kev I finally made this and it is awesome, omg i served it with ice cream and whipped cream and it was decadent extreme. The lemon zest is really nice combined with the homemade lemonade. I love lemon cookies so this was a winner too.
west-island kev Oh my, you just made me so happy that you have made this! I love your more than blueberries :)
***** hahah I was waiting for the local blueberries to come to the local market. It's so awesome with a cup of coffee for breakfast!!!

My pleasure to make you hungry, lol.
Thanks!
Mr mechals very nice macking supper like to much IIwill try Thank
Thank you very much
Yummmm. Don't you just love blueberries? I swear I could smell that cake here in the Bay Area! I saw kitty too. Heard a half of a meow. I have a Lynx Point Siamese named Cooper. He's a BIG guy. He's a 20 pounder. If he's awake, he's making noise. Quite vocal and my son and I know his language. Boy they train you! Thank you for this recipe!
Cooper sounds like he runs the house. Mr Benson does too, or at least he thinks he does :) What a BIG cat! Benson is small @ 12 pounds.
Great fun! Saving for a mixer. Greetings from France. Uprated.
It would be a little work, but a whisk would be fine to use. Remember back years ago, that all cake mixes would give instructions to mix the cake 400 strokes, etc.
*****
Yes, I find it a chore but I still do stuff low-tech for the most part. I like bundt cakes, and enjoy doing Alsatian kugelhopf, but that takes patience and needs to bloom for a day. That's a staple food there, very funny! Pastry and bread and things tend to be so good in France, it makes no sense to do them myself, it's no savings, either, but I still like to try. Not a baking nut -- but this looks very doable, interesting. This picky Parisian spouse will try and probably eat a bit of that. I love getting berries, anything nice, fresh, local, seasonal. I am trying to use to a passle of brown eggs I got for a song. This clip is nice -- good demonstration. xo
If you are trying to get my "heart"...you just did it!! I adore blueberries..my freezer is full of them. What a beautiful cake, Michael...was your pan smaller than the average bundt pan?? Kind of looked like it...will definitely make this soon. Thanks!!
I am right there with you as I love the blueberries too!
The pan is a 15 cup size. Thanks Cinda!
That looks divine ;-)
Thank you, you are always so polite :)
awesome cake. I'd add one pat of butter to the blueberry sauce as it's cooking to give it great flavor.
Butter definitely makes everything better. lol :)
+supehero22 Great idea, thank you for that!
made this for my lady.she loves it.I always make her a dessert👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Karen :)
WOW :O
I need to try this!
It will make you happy if you try this, thanks!
That's looks great. I think I could probably use other fruit as well. By the way, I love the Strauss in the background.
Yes! Many fruits would be fine in this. Thanks!
Jees I need to eat this soon
It will make you happy! Thanks!

REDD OKTOBER I apologize that I did not recognize your name. Thank you for your continued support!
That looks amazing!
Thank you, it is really good plus I love blueberries.
That looks so good. I was saying mmmmm before you got a piece of it. Will be adding it to my recipes. Thx ;-)
You make me smile, glad you like this!
Wow Michael you always know exactly how to catch my attention. I love the big pretty came & lovely frosting.... Great recipe I really have to find me a bigger & prettier bundt pan. Tha ks again Michael.......
I can sure tell that you like this one, thank you so much :)
Yes, I love it Michael and you using the lemonade, love that idea too...
YUMMY!! My mouth was watering! Do you think I could make this with a sugar substitute? I'm diabetic. What a beautiful cake!!!
I have never used a sugar substitute. If you have used a substitute in baking and it works then you know more than I do :) So yes! If there is one out there that works, yes!
😀 yessssssssssssssssss I could just see the moistness from my phone screen... 😍😍😍 love it as always boo.....
You are wonderful, I just love you!
I made another blueberry cake😊they are real good.
Anything blueberry is good :)
I can hardly wait to make this. Did you make your own lemonade?
Thanks! Yes.... 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 cups water = lemonade.
This cake was so delicious, Michael! When Alan took the first bite, he said "this is soooooooooo good!!" Good job, brother....I think you may be a baker afterall :)
Thank you Myra & Alan.
Looks good:)
Hi there Sam, thanks!
I like your voice!
Why thank you!
You are fantastic 😍
+Susanna Flanging Thank you Susanna, that is very nice of you!
~Michael
What could I do if I wanted to make this cake Gluten Free? Looks so yummy
I have no experience with gluten free. I apologize.
How about a nice lemon glaze with shaved lemon peel sprinkled on top or even lemon zest
What a wonderful idea!
Thanks! :)
I love blueberries and I also bake cakes using my Kitchenaid, but I use the whisk attachment in order to add air to the batter and add some lightness to the cake. Have you tried this?
llamov
Using the whisk attachment would be fine. The only reason that I do not is that I am afraid of over mixing the flour into the wet ingredients.
~Michael
What kind of lemonade? This looks so good
I just used a small lemon, juiced it and added some sugar and water. Simple simple. Thank you for your question!
~michael
This looks great! How can I get the written recipe?
Thank you for your question Lesley! I have all the ingredients listed under the video "in the description" The method is not written out in the description, it is in the video itself, I apologize for that. But just open the description under the video so you do not miss any measurements or ingredients.
~michael
That boy need some Milk!🤣🤣🤣
You are so sweet!!
Now wait a minute, the channel I subscribed to was called Freita Sex, though it never lived up to its name. :) Just kidding, Michael. I think this is a much better name, though I have no idea how you accomplished the change. Nice recipe, btw. ;)
I was looking around UA-cam and noticed how to change the channel name. I have no regrets and think it is one of the best things that I could change. When I made the channel seven years ago, I never thought that I would make videos.
👍👍👍
Thank you
Could you use 3 cups self-rising flour instead?
I would not do that, but you sure can. The cake will not be as light.
~Michael
Hello my friend :)
I hope all is going well with you!
Don't you love how butter/sugar gets all fluffy when you mix in the eggs? I do - it is so pretty! Oh, that's a beautiful batter! It made a lovely cake. Did you hear me? When I was shouting ' Lick that spoon!' then you said you would. :D Excellent video. You make me wish we had company more because if I made that with just us, we'd be in TROUBLE! :) Fun to watch and drool over though. With a side of sausage and eggs, it would make a great breakfast.
My family took care of eating that cake. I had two pieces and it was such a treat. Thank you as always Liz :)
Oh nice! It's fun to share good food with loved ones.
how much sugar was in the cake recipe. I don't think you said on the tape
Thank you for subscribing! I use 1 and 3/4 cups sugar in the cake. In the description below is a list of ingredients. My later videos also have the instructions, my earlier video do not have instructions but have the ingredients listed. Thank you for your question!
~Michael
Can I use a stick blender I'm new at making cakes so just asking thanks
adrienne m silva
Cakes were made for years and years without a mixer. Everything was mixed by hand. The recipes would call for 50 or 100 or 400 stokes. You can still make cakes this way :)
You can try your stick mixer, it might work!
Thank you for your question!
~Michael
Thanks
Could All purpose flour be used?
Sure you can, but the cake will be heavier and not as light.
Thank you for your question!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! HI kitty kitty I see you :)
Did Mr Benson make an appearance? I did not see that, so I will have to watch this again!
Well if Mr Benson is the kitty yes he did :) Just caught his tail end haha
