The Charge Blade and hammer are so much fun to use and I’m constantly swapping my weapons! I love the Seikret and its mechanics. Also, I’ve been spoiler free until now and all of my knowledge comes from this demo. Just based on this, the game is going to be PEAK!!!
There are also a few others that I think are worth noting. One of them being you can swap the radial menu tabs to triangle, circle, x and square instead of your directional pad so that you can keep your movement up and not let the left stick go just to swap tabs using the directional pad. Another would be to change the zoom settings from snapping to max in/out zoom while adjusting zoom level on the map. Last one would be the mount's running/movement toggle can be changed so that they work more like the hunters and it's more manageable so the mount doesn't run around like a maniac constantly. :]
@@GodSmit I remember seeing somewhere that the original game was actually designed with claw grip in mind but it definitely takes practice! I’ve played the old psp games so long it’s just naturally how I do it now
Same settings I changed as well. Hopefully we will get classic item settings in the full game. My only real complaint has been the lack of hit/response everything feels like your gliding and no impact with the weapons.
This is hella true, switch axe felt like I was swinging at the air the whole time and my girl even asked if I was hitting the monster so I had to say “if there’s numbers popping up, I’m gettin him.” not the best feedback imo. I think I ended up subconsciously avoiding using my switch axe and used my hammer more cuz it actually felt like the hits were connecting One of the few issues I had, for the most part this looks like this could be the best MH game yet!
Hopefully the pc beta tomorrow has good settings and graphical options, it should run better on pc since more customization and ability to turn certain things off, also hope keyboard controls are better
@wits_end. You're just nitpicking something not worth nitpicking. Lower the size of the ui, and you don't notice it. For some weapons, it's nice to know if you can block an attack and still live through it vs. not.
motion blur is to smooth out the motions when your game is running at low framerates. It's useless in performance mode. I personally recommand using Type 3 the yellow color silhouette. and also turn Feylne language back to "meow"
For pc fellas, make sure textures are set to at least high, for some reason it auto defaulted for me to medium and the game looks awful like that. (Im not exaggerating, i dunno if medium is bugged but it looked very low res textures)
The game runs like old crusty sandpaper on PC... regardless of settings I was spending like 2 hours trying to figure out why the visuals kept ghosting around and it turns out it was the in-game frame generation (which buys you like 10fps at most) After turning that off, the game looked better but ran considerably worse (still on any and all settings) I get that it's a beta, but dear god it's optimized so poorly that the game practically begs you to use all of its workaround features (upscaling and frame generation) to reach a playable state. Regardless of how said features impact visual quality apparently.
as a gunner… yeah, aim assist is terrible. get used to gyro, waaaaaay better. (unless you’re on xbox. that whole business with the kinect scared them from away from any kind of motion sensor ever, evennif it actually IS better. you guys get aim assist or nothing) so yeah, better suggestion- turn OFF aim assist, turn ON motion sensor aiming.
these are all pretty universally used, these are settings I've been asked about in my streams as well that people want to change to what I'm using xD but it's my channel and my video, so yeah, gonna be somewhat my opinion....
I think you mean “instead of the default” We, *the community,* don’t have a universal standard outside the default yet. That’s why videos like this showcasing important settings and how they affect the gameplay experience are helpful for *the community* lol Edit: I highlighted community cuz based off your comment you might not know the difference between the developers standard aka the default and community standard which we create together.. as a community

It's good, really good. But i will just say what i did not liked ; The menu UI is busy and hard to read at time
Love the gunlance. Wilds has done it justice. Here's to another beta with a little more stuff or a demo they we can play up until release.

Wait… wouldn’t you just use the claw grip to hit the d pad while using the default tho?
@@SugeryGold Yes, you can. Though for some that hand position isn’t default. I would do that normally, but also prefer this method.

Side note. If you feel like the game is choppy, shut off HDR.

Weird take, but I like the camera zoomed in. It makes the monsters feel larger.
Especially with the monsters in the game (based off of the beta because it’s all I’ve seen of the game) being smaller compared to past games

How the heck I didn't see R2 as run option? It's literally there. I hate it when R2 is for attacking intead of run.
