It's been changed since... But some antifreeze is usually better than no antifreeze in a pinch, kinda like oil 😂 the old antifreeze seems to eat up water pumps pretty fast though, seen it on a few different engines.
Dude no shit I just changed my radiator for same plastic still reservoir. The things leaking worse then the one I pulled out. Should of spent the extra 100 on aluminum. Leaking where the plastic meets the aluminum bottom of the reservoir at the clamp
Anthony you're right also when you change the w.pump you are supposed to get out as much of the old coolant as possible or you're going to be doing it again really soon ask me how I know.in the past i would change just the water pump and top off the coolant. And redo about 6-8 months later because of a leak in the w.pump.and then I read a thread to get out as much of the old coolant as possible.Otherwise you will be doing it again. The recommended coolant Is our lubricant for the water pump and if you put in a new water pump and the old lubricant, now the W.P. has to work harder because the lubricant lost its additives that are in the factory lubricant then your water pump is going to fail
One more to add use the right coolant. These water pumps are very simple and should last. My first one went well over 100k miles and the advance auto replacement passed 30k no issues
You can’t buy the AC clutch alone ANYWHERE any more for an 04 Ram. You must now purchase the entire compressor with clutch on EBay or Amazon or local parts houses. I don’t know why.
@@sjwalker5696 I don't remember brand, if it even had one. It was off of ebay, several on their and I'm sure they probably all come from the same place if I had to guess.
Is this radiator worth it?
You are suppose to only put in HOAT antifreeze in the 5.9 Cummins.

i was runnin 1000 miles a week and went through 5 water pumps on my 2012 in just one year
This water pump is leaking now and it doesn't have very many miles on it.
Nice fix. Not exactly a small job. Your good to go. That new rad is better then the original by a mile. Thanks Chase.
I've had those plastic ones leak new out of the box where they clamp the end tanks on

What was the brand of the Aluminum Radiator you put in?
Can you tell a difference between the two radiator the stock vs the aftermarket?
This took me all day . Wats the book time on this ?
70% anti freeze will not flow as well. Fairbanks, Alaska?
Was it easier to remove that core support brace?
Where did you get your AC compressor clutch? I cant find one for an 04 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 Cummins
I think ebay
Quite a jump from the $200 rads and the quazimoto $900. They look the same
Your losing water pumps that quick cause you aren’t using the right coolant. That coolant is corrosive to the pumps internal seal

I use dexcool no issue's

how many rows is that new aluminum radiator? and what was your factory radiator 2 or 3? thanks
nice video good job I noticed you had a different intercooler on that truck did it help your ETS any at all
it was actually on the truck when i bought it so i have no idea
Was that the cheep 250$ radiator? I just developed the same crack and dont want to spend 700 on an aluminum rad
I don't remember the price but it wasn't 700
Or later. But just got one of amazon for 220. Stock on amazon is 190
Chase, do you still like your radiator? If you don't mind me asking how much was something like that? I'm needing to replace mine as well
I think it was around 300 ish or so, so far no problems with it
I dont fint it, could you send a link? - Is it cheaper than the Mishimoto radiator?
Well done Chase the rad looks way better than the plastic junk.
i think so too.
How long did this job take start to finish?
I've got the same exact crack in mine. I need to replace mine soon
Same here i guess we now know the weak spot im at over 300k when mine went
240k same crack🐂💨
165k same exact crack 06' Cummins.
Same crack 2004.5
227k
You have problems getting the shrouds to line up on top? If I sit my radiator all the way down on the bumpers, the shrouds have a gap on top.

Is that a 3 row radiator?
How's that radiator holding up
Still working
What brand it is?
Diesels require special antifreeze friends
Where did you get this radiator from? I'm in the market for one for my pickup as well
ebay
Just put one on mine, removing the upper core support would have saved me a lot of time.
How's that radiator lasting? Have been looking at the same one on eBay.
so far so good!
Give us some updates on a radiator thank you
It's still doing what a radiator should do. thanks for watching
@@LifeWithChase what brand radiator is it I'm looking for a one I don't want to spend a lot of money

Is this a 3 row radiator??
Probably a two row
Do you have a link for this radiator? Thanks
I do not, I bought it off of ebay but I don't remember which seller or anything.
chase5726 I found it. It's under the same name uncle cooling. I'll give it shot. Thanks , how's the radiator holding up!
so far no problems
chase5726 did u get a 3row or 4row radiator
Where did you get your winch mount/push bar? what kind is it?
It was on the truck when I bought it back in 2010 so I have no idea
Bro I literally got the same crack on mine
I went through three Sloan water pumps in about 40,000 miles on my big cam cummins
thats why I didn't even bother changing it, seems like sometimes you put a new one on and it won't make it two weeks before its leaking lol
Great job brother!!!! Looks like a nice rad!!! Cheers 🍻
so far I like it
Nice video
