Love your videos, April! I especially love the longer length of them-it gives me something longer to watch while crocheting, and not have to find something different to watch every 15 minutes or so. It is truly impressive how meticulous you are with your projects. You do such beautiful work ❤
Thank you so much! I take great pride in my work and am extremely particular with my projects. If you only knew how many times things were frogged in the past 12 years, lol. I also love the long form videos when crocheting.
I am so, soooo happy for you that you are so in the mood for making these parts for the hats, - you really ARE motivated. Also I laughed in the beginning of your video, - you were so fantastically funny talking about the jellyfish hihihi... And so honest about all the work. I was SURE that Bingo was a fox hihi... I LOVE his crocked smile. And OUIIIIIIIIII, - how cool to follow you watching my video hihihi... And about reading patterns... I think it´s mostly a lazy attitude for my part (blush, blush), so I think I will thank you in my next video for giving me a "kick in the butt" to pick up a crochet-book TOGETHER with the hook, and read and crochet hehe... Well see...
Linda you should totally start reading patterns. It will help you develop your skill level as you learn so many new crochet stitches. You can do it. Thank you so much for your message dear friend. Have a great week!
Your mom is so awesome! My mom also keeps me in check, always checking in with me to see what i'm prepping. I feel your pain for finishing your projects. I have a ton of plushies where all i have to do is sew on the eyes but ugh i don't want to. I'm loving the bluey and bingo hats!
You never bore me!! I always feel like I have a friend to hang out while I prep my inventory! And I understand the NOT fun parts of the business as well.. right now I’m avoiding pricing as we speak 🫣😂
I use an 11/16 deep socket and a hammer to put on the large eyes. I use a silicone hot pad underneath and the protective plastic to keep the eye from being scratched. Pro tip: remove the plastic from the eye before placing it into the plushie, then put it back on. The reason for doing that is…it’s a sad day when the back is secure with the protective plastic stuck under it…lol
You should watch Victoria on Comfort Loops Crochet, she is hilarious! I look forward to your videos every week. You are an amazing crochet artist! Congrats on 3K!!
On the Cricut, you can “duplicate” your image after you click Make and set the project copies there. It lets you move them around to fit them on the virtual mat to accommodate them and increase or reduce the copies. Also, could you scan your masks and import to Cricut for cutting? Enjoying your video 😊
OMG Thank you for the tip. That makes things so much easier. As far as the masks go. They don't cut straight. I need to draw them on my iPad in Procreate, but I haven't had a chance yet. Unless someone has a better solution.
Happy Birthday to your sweet Mom🎉 I am glad to hear your fur baby is doing ok, I have a senior Pom that is in about the same shape. Your market turned out cute. I was sorry to hear about your beer tent next door. These are the same people driving home on our streets. Sorry you had to deal with that BS they need to be removed from that shows list of vendors. Sorry, I can’t stand that kind of behavior. Great video TFS!!!❤
Thank you for your feedback, birthday and well wishes. I can't stand that behavior either and was annoyed the entire day. Rahjah is hanging in there for now. I appreciate you!
HI April. A suggestion for the eyes on your jelly plushy. I learned from a fellow UA-cam Creator to use felt which helps support the eye where they stay in place. I have been successful doing it so far. Hope it helps
I have a few patterns on Etsy. They would all fit a 6-10-year-old. After market season I'm going to take a deep dive into publishing more hats with multiple sizes. Thank you so much for your comment and for your support.
Welcome! Thank you for commenting and watching. All of the hats I make are my patterns. I only have a few patterns for sale currently but want to publish more starting after the holidays and market season.
I’ve been thinking of making Bluey and Bingo hats, too. I’ve been making character hats since the early 2000’s and have made so many characters over the years. I don’t have young kids at home anymore, but have watched Bluey with my grandkids. What yarn brand and colors are you are using for them? I was going to go to my stash and see what I had to use.
So you have been making hats longer than me then, lol. I have been using Loops and Threads Impeccable, but I'm making a switch to I Love This Yarn by Hobby Lobby. Impeccable just keeps getting thinner. I do double the yarn for my child thru adult hats. I love how this hat came out.
@@bethhays8510 My goal is after fall markets I will be taking a year off of markets/market prepping to dive into publishing my patterns. It’s too hard to balance, Etsy orders, market prepping, filming, editing & parenting. So something has to go so I can focus. 😅
Yes JEEP Girl World!!! 😃✨
YAAAASSS! Best vehicle I have ever owned. I will forever be a wrangler girl! My husband has one too.

Crochet Vision is one of my favorites! I also watch Hooks and Heelers a lot.
Thank you so much! I watch Annie. I'll have to check out Crochet Vision.

The octopus would make an adorable hat with the curlies hanging down and the frilly brim.
Great idea! Thank you !
Love your long videos!!! And your music choices.
Thank you so much! I spend time each week searching for new songs. I like all kinds of music, lol.

Moms are the best. I'm very lucky to have my mom's help. We are best friends. Girl, I have so many whips, lol.
Bingo and Bluey are going to sell fast, my 8 year old niece even loves it
Thank you so much for telling me that. I should've made more, lol.

Thank you so much Krissi! I love making new friends here on UA-cam. I saw your Instagram post. I hope your market went well!
I love your vlogs...can't wait for the next one! Greetings from Borkum/GERMANY!❤
Hello in Germany! I love that I can connect with friends all over the world! Thank you so much for your comment and your support!

lol, I am 70 and still love learning new techy things.
Love that!
I watch Juan the yarn addict a lot!
Thank you!!
Hi April! I love seeing your "dog" hats. Lol. By the way, happy early birthday!
Thank you so much! I love the dog hats too. I'm currently working on parts for the Pug hats!

I so heavily relate to being afraid of everything since becoming a mom. Lol
Right! Have you seen my Q & A? I especially find it hard after my husband's ex-wife died at 35. I was always afraid I wouldn't be here for my kids.

Thank you so much. I'll check her out!
My 3 year old was watching with me, and he keeps talking about your Bingo hat!!!! I love it can't wait for the patterns
I love that. It is going to be so popular. I should have made more, lol.

@@thecozybuckeye You're welcome. Anything to help a fellow crocheter. :)
congrats on the 3k
Thank you! 😃
What is the basic hat pattern? Do you have a tutorial for it, just plain? Love your videos. ❤

I want to buy a cricket but so intimated by it.
I was afraid too, but I figured it out with the help of what I like to call "UA-cam University", lol.

do you sell a basic pattern for the hats, like without a character ?
I plan on it hopefully early next year.
