Growing older is a blessing. I'm 57, have long silver hair and I will never be bothered to dye it again. My MIL told me once when I was complaining about getting older, "it's better than the alternative". That stuck with me.
I'm appreciative for sure to still be healthy. It's funny I say the same thing. I will always love birthdays and getting older. I just am not ready to look older, lol. My stepdaughter is my beautician, so it gives me a chance to hang out with her and catch up while she does my hair. She also gives me a HUGE discount, so I don't plan on embracing the gray anytime soon! Thank you so much for your comment and for your support. Have a great day!

I'm in my 60's and would love to be in my 40's again... Anyway, believe it or not at 67 I still have my same hair color. Occasionally a gray one will pop up but everyone thinks I dye my hair but I don't. My Dad was in his 80's when he passed and only has gray temples. Anyway, love your channel!
Okay, you don't have to brag, lol. You are really lucky to not have gray at your age. That's unheard of. Thank you for your comment and your support. Have a great day!
Loved this week's video! The rabbit at the beginning 😍😍 omg, so sweet! I think you'd like home slim chenille yarn. It feels just like parfait chunky but bigger. It's a size 6. They don't offer a ton of bright colors so I like to also use sweet snuggles lite because it's also a size 6. And if you really want big yarn, you can use sweet snuggles because it's a size 7 yarn. All of them can be found at michaels. 🥰
Hello! That rabbit holds a special place in my heart. I do love the way the chenille yarns feel. I just really hate how they shed, lol. My Michaels never has very many colors to choose from either. It's really unfortunate. It's so great to see your comment as I love watching your videos too and all of your sweet makes.

I feel ya! I crochet with my feet up alll the time or my hips are a disaster I’m 51 and am careful not to injure myself lol. Crochet injuries are a real thing!
I've had hip problems for years. I used to be a runner for a while, but eventually had to give it up. I continue to pay for running. I have also battled crochet injuries as I've been doing it FT for 12 years now. I'm currently healthy and hope it stays that way, LOL. Cortisone injections have always been my friend when things flare up, ha-ha. Thank you for your comment. I hope you have a great day!
I'm right there with you when it comes to the joys of getting older. Let's just say I was born in the very early 80's and graduated high school in the very late 90's. Can't decide if I want to embrace the gray or cover it up although I'm expecting much more of it now that my son has turned into a crazy teenager! It's also so funny that you are working the MMM Rainbow blanket b/c I'm getting ready to purchase that pattern myself. I also want to try their Phoenix Rainbow Blanket pattern as well; are you going to? Thanks again for keeping me company with your videos during my own market prep. I've had numerous custom orders this week and I know all too well how it feels to look longingly at the patterns you WANT to be working on while you're trying to keep powering through on the things you NEED to be working on. Hang in there sister - you're not alone! 🙂
Hey Kim! Thank you for your message. I guess I'm a few years older than you, ha-ha. My stepdaughter is a cosmetologist so sitting in her chair gives us a chance to catch up. Not to mention, she gives me a HUGE discount. So, I will probably keep fighting my gray for a while, lol. To answer your question, I'm sure I will make the Phoenix Rainbow Blanket at some point because I love anything rainbow. We will just keep plugging along with our market prep. See you next week!
Hi April! Happy August! for plushie patterns, I am trying to make mascots for all of my kids schools. I have a high school Lion. I have tried three patterns and none have came out looking good. I have a college kid at Chico State (Wildcat), a recent graduate from UC Santa Barbara. The mascot is a Gaucho, over the years it as evolved to a raccoon wearing a sombrero, and we have a close friend at University of Oregon (Ducks). The only one I have tried is a lion and none have come out looking great. I wanted to make Lions and give them to the seniors from my daughters tennis team so they can remember the fun times from the team once they move on to college. I envisioned a cute plushie lion with a tennis dress and maybe a red L on the dress or something (school colors are cardinal and gold). anyway. I am not hopeful that I will find a pattern easy enough that will work up quick enough (banquet is in November). Anny advice or suggestions you have send them my way.
I’m in my early 60’s and have been crocheting since I was 8. I love it. The last year I have let my hair color go natural and surprisingly get many compliments on it. 😊. I’d love to see a tutorial on the baby capes. Love your channel.
Great ideas! I need to make flipsy, but I've been making ghosts and pickles, lol. Thank you so much for sharing in your comment. I appreciate your support!
I’m not sure if you’ve tried Sweet Snuggles Lite from Michaels. I really like it. It’s soft like parfait chunky and just a little smaller than the Bernat.
I have tried it, and I do like it. It's def better than Parfait Chunky. I do hate the shedding, but I love how soft it is. I wish they offered more colors like Bernat. Thank you so much for your comment and your support. Have a great day!
I feel the exact way about parfait chunky and thinner yarns, especially the posh that everyone loves 😂 I’d much rather get a bigger result from bigger yarn. Loved hanging out with you as always!
The jellyfish is fantastically cute, - I love, love, love it. And I prefer the small one to the big, - also because of the colors of the tentacles. When it comes to hair, - I let my hair turn gray with pride up until 2015 when I suddenly turned white. Then I got "scared", - so I started dyeing it. But I actually soon regretted not staying proud of the gray/white hair, - that I had let me get affected of it negatively, - so when Covid came, I saw it as an opportunity to go back to natural. And I had dyed it darker than yours, so the difference was REALLY big, but after 4-5 months my friend got me to the hairdresser to make the long hair close to the grayish new hair, and it turned out quite well, - and now I am back to natural, as you have seen, and I am at peace with myself hehe... And how cute is that wolf, - adorable 🥰 I can´t wait to see your Q&A and your husband. That´s great 🙂. And those capes are so cute, and the story about helping the families with premature babies, so that they are heroes in the family... awesome.
Hey Linda! It's really hard for me to stay out of the salon because my stepdaughter is my stylist. Going to her gives us a chance to catch up and hang out. Plus, I just love getting my hair done, lol. I'm not ready for the gray yet!! Not to mention, she gives me a HUGE discount. haha I finally filmed my husband yesterday so I will start working on editing my Q&A. I hope everyone likes it.
