I just found a 82 or 83, 26 inch GT BMX at a yard sale for $50 it has one piece crank with a Pete's Precision BB. Have you ever heard of this? I've never seen a one piece crank with sealed bearings.
84 is first year of the Mach one. There is no Nora cup model. Nora cup is an award and GT just advertised they won the award with a decal. This is a Pro model.
Nice build. Only two changes. Chrome seat post and black Kashimax. I build a CW ZX Pro the same colour way as this. But changed the seat to a black one. Just looks cleaner in black
That right there is the “1983 Nora Cup GT Pro”. It doesn’t come with the front brake mount in the fork so that was correct to only have the back brake for it. Very rare to ever find one of those in good condition. Great job with the re-chrome and ano especially bringing those Araya’s back to life. Great idea to go with the gold. Would’ve been nice to see some Oakley B1B grips on those bars though lol Overall rad work! Keep ‘em coming
My 84 Expert has the Nora Cup forks. Unfortunately, some jackals drilled out a hole for the brakes. I can tell it was a home job because it's crooked as hell. 😢😢
Okay. I have the same frame GT mach 1 My frame has no serial number stamp anywhere on it . None . It has the GT on the back of the top bar . It had the holes in the rims with the 36h spoke rims . Red tube protector inside the rims. . I was told the ones without serial number are the easiest bikes built before factory building them. .
I love the bike! I hope you you guys keep posting builds. It’s awesome watching the end result, which is why I enjoy building myself. It’s very satisfying 😁 Great video as always! BMX 4 Life!
I BELIEVE MACH ONE WAS MADE IN 1984 83 WAS A DIFFERANT MODEL KOOL VIDEOS THOUGH NO OFFENSE MACH ONE WAS THE FIRST WITH THE SLANTED TOP TUBE BEHIND THE SEAT POST
My 1st racing frame set up I got as a 11yr old was the 83’ GT Jr frame with the same color Araya rims. Seeing this brings back so many great memories. Would love to find another 83’ GTjr frame. And by the way “Cockeyed” was created by DC comics his superpower was absurdity…
Can you elaborate further on the anodizing company you're referring to called "Genco in Glendale"? I tried looking up that company but I can't find any information on them. I have some Perigrine 48s I'd like to get re-machined, revitalized, etc. Thanks!
I know this is a BMX channel, bit can we get some details on Phus car? I am not an import guy, but I am a car guy and I want to know wtf he has going on with that cool shoebox. It looks fun as hell.
Another method to keep the bearing sealed without using rubber gaskets instead of having that crack line where dirt can easily get in plus ascetics reasons too this is my opinion on the headset cap
All you need is some solid , high quality tyre lever.. if it's a very stubborn tyre/ rim combo; get both beads of the tyre into the centre of the rim, pop a tiny bit of soapy water on the rim inside and out. Keep one side of the tyre in the centre of the rim well and simple lever the other side out and over. Multiple levers can help but trust me , good quality levers make all the difference, they cannot flex at all.
That is a gt pro Santa ana race bike,do not drill the forks for the front brake as it should not have one.check serial number on rear drop out to find out where and when it was built, peace.
Some of these BMX suppliers are such tools, pork chop blocked me on eBay for no reason, that’s ok they don’t sell OG anyways only repop stuff like these Dia Compe MX 1000s and those knock off Tuf Necks. The original would have and and MS22 or a Suntour stem, otherwise a great bike and nice work.
I wanted to ask how do you not get picked on out in the streets riding alone well im alone single people finding something to pick on me or ask me stupid questions
Can we get these vintage bikes weighed when their done please? I'm always interested, and it seems to be the one stat that gets left out, not just here, but everywhere. Please don't be that one asshole in the comments saying "no'one cares about weights man, it doesn't matter". To that I say, f%%k off lol. Great build as always guys, love the old bikes.
all he made at first was that frame. it was just a GT pro or expert the fact he had it rchromed RUINS it. it doesnt look gary clean at the cap area. looks like it was cut off and a blank welded in the holes in the drop outs are not there. half link chain. repops... fake bike. if it were a real 70's he would keep it real. looks like 83 w the stamp removed. no way thats a real hand made in his garage gary turner. they were few made my very first 20 inch was a gary turner my dad had made for me since they knew eachother from drag racing. not gonna lie it broke.... headstock cracked. my dad rewelded it i had it so long i got sick of other kids telling me it was fake because it didnt have the stamp that i got one with the stamp LOL it had tange forks sugino cranks. z rims. diacomps mcs sprocket it was chrome n red. w red anno bars
I had this frame as a kid. It was a GT Pro.
Back at it with the bike destruction 😢

@@lilblaster22 ya they are great.
I'm so gutted that a few months ago I realized when I was in middle school I used to have this bike, and now it's a CLASSIC
Parts dumped into a plastic bin 💀
nice video, i got a 1982 GT PRO
I love the early eighties BMX bikes! I put those crank covers on my 1979 Mongoose.
Those bars are unknurled gt bars they didn't put knurling on the early bars
Those bars probably didn’t have knurling on them. Most early bars didn’t.
word
Nice build. But GT did not offer a Mach One in 1983, those were offered in the late 80s. You’ve got a NORA cup model

1983 Nora cup if it's stamped 2 it's an expert if it's stamped 4 it's a pro size Nora cup

I have the same frame , forks and bars in rider condition . Undrilled forks makes an 82’ GT Pro. Awesome video. Awesome bike 👍😊
luvly bike , only thing i would change is i’d have to put a gold izumi chain on it, but still looks fantastic with the half link, nice job phu 😎
Awesome we need more of these videos!! Sick build
They wont sell parts to Phu and he still gives them a shoutout
Awesome build! Looks very similar to mine back in the mid 80’s.
I would have went black seat and grips. Other than that awesome
I love the bike! I hope you you guys keep posting builds. It’s awesome watching the end result, which is why I enjoy building myself. It’s very satisfying 😁 Great video as always! BMX 4 Life!
"This is an 83 yee t" 😆 Phu is quality entertainment 👌
FYI, the Tange MX320 headset is widely available and uses precision bearings.
I BELIEVE MACH ONE WAS MADE IN 1984 83 WAS A DIFFERANT MODEL KOOL VIDEOS THOUGH NO OFFENSE MACH ONE WAS THE FIRST WITH THE SLANTED TOP TUBE BEHIND THE SEAT POST

This is a Pro not a Mach One.
That head set cover over the top cup serves the same function as the yellow rubber for the BB.
So beauty machine, the only thing I would change is the seat post by chrome, the rest is a complet beauty! 👌
83 Mark one was my first bike 🤘🤘🤘
Epic tricks there bro 😎💪

Beautiful bike!
Wrong sticker kit. Santa Anna
I know this is a BMX channel, bit can we get some details on Phus car? I am not an import guy, but I am a car guy and I want to know wtf he has going on with that cool shoebox. It looks fun as hell.
Those old school DK xl stems would be perfect Foo for big Guys or pro neck
I remember Dia Compe. Is that the brand they sold at K Mart and Target? I remember Shimano was the expensive brand.
Oooh Gold and chrome 😮
Nice 👍🏾 bike!
Where to find parts for old bikes

Cock eyed is a phrase for … off centre or not straight 🤓🤓😉😀
Another method to keep the bearing sealed without using rubber gaskets instead of having that crack line where dirt can easily get in plus ascetics reasons too this is my opinion on the headset cap
Mach one has an angled cut behind the seat post that says GT. That looks pretty Mach one.
Nice.........
That stem gots too go it needs a pro neck gold or tuffneck gold
can you do a video on tubeless tires? and how to take them off??

You don't want to use water, it'll rust. Use vegi oil

Tell your cameraman chromoly is chromium + molybdenum so tech it'd two words. You may also be familiar with Chrome vanadium.
