    It still feels weird to think about the possibility of Level 100. It's just that level 90 has been the ceiling for leveling since the beginning...
    Then again, Dendro characters had the same feeling, but we all knew that would come sooner or later because it only made sense.
    How will Genshin change even further down the line?

      While that would be cool, that would be an insane amount of work for them. With the release schedule they keep, no way they have time for that. Unless they stagger the releases. And do a few characters at a time.

      I suggested that I think... back in 1.3 or so?... It can be used like F/GO's renewals. But in terms of implementation my idea would be a gradual rollout so they can really measure twice for the extra passive since some characters may need a more game changing passive while others not so much.

    The problem is if they exceed lvl 100 ofc first thing is it will take lot amount of resources if they making up that then they should increase mora given from leyline rn 60k per 20 resin make it atleast 100k same goes for exp book ley line too need more increase , the second thing talent as in lvl 100 so more +2 talent (that is 11 ,12 talents on c 0 char )so drop rate or quantity should be increase talent domain otherwise it will be very much pain in the as , idk if they add weapon lvl 100 in future or not for now just speculating char lvl 100 ,the third thing char ascension mats such as boss mats 2 Or 3 drop won't do a thing if lvl 100 is max limit so it should be increased more around 4 or 5 drops and at last fourth thing is they might try to balance out by increase enemy lvl as well so like maybe 110 lvl enemies in spiral so those are 4 major problem about it

      well we get more rewards when we increase our world level so it will also be included in the package(I think). I think that will just make sense. 😉

    If they do go the route of adding an extra ascension passive then its 100% worth it. Now about said passive lets be realistic here, i doubt it will be anything that completely changes their kit and i think it will more of specific stat increases, for example for cyno it could be a 25% er increase, something like that, a small thing that can still make a big impact on a character, tho lets not get our hopes up

      More threateningly, they could add like 2 or 3 talent levels to each skill each requiring crowns. The max level of skills is coded as 15, after all.

      @@gachainteract not really, how many new players have enough characters that they even like enough to waste crowns on? Also there is such an abundance of free crowns you can get from overworld exploration now, every nations 'tree' gives them + all the constant events. Crowns are not a rarity these days, especially if you're not wasting resources building every character you come across, which every cc advises against in every single beginner guide anyway.

    My take - and you guys and the comments section said it too - is that level 100 characters would be fine IF we also get a World Tier 9 and/or 10 to make drops for XP, Mora, and boss materials, etc. increase in order to compensate for it. If we don't, then it's going to a week or two just to get someone from level 90 to level 100. It will really make me double down/triple down on my favorite characters, but then I'm leaving the rest behind, which is a shame because I like to build everyone up to level 90, with 8/8/8 talents, and a level 90 weapon, and test them out.
    Then my brain turns to the Abyss and I just don't see Hoyo making it any easier. They'll either add floors 13 and 14 with level 110 and 115 enemies, or they're going make floors 9-12 harder, so people who were already clearing floor 12 now have to rise and grind to make sure they can still clear. I wouldn't see that as a positive change. Those who can clear have already put in the time, and those who cannot probably cannot put in the time, and that is only getting worse over time as the META shifts around so much.
    So, if the Abyss remain unchanged and we get world tier 9 with more material rewards, then sure, I see level 100 as a good thing because it gives me a reason to level my favorites even more, and then really pop off in the Abyss. Otherwise, I don't care for level 100 - it's just one more thing to do in a game that has so much to do already.

    I think its good to implement a new material (like crown of insight) that is very very rare so you will only ascend your very favorite characters. This way, the resource economy of players will not suffer

      The problem with this idea is that, if players can't raise most of their characters to the new max, then Hoyoverse can't balance the content against that. They'd have to balance it for the same old, same old, which is already trivially easy currently for mature accounts.
      The only way it makes sense to do this is if everything, enemies included, scales up to the new level, and that that level adds something new to the mix.

    So Cyno will get an insane damage spike if we get level 100 because the way his dmg scales(more so than others). Now his story quest is making sense 😂

    I think level 100 is great but will be very taxing for casual players for a while. Insane amount of resources will be needed and it will really take a while to level the fleet of characters that veteran players own, but it's not a bad thing for a change.

      It's also a pain if you haven't been playing as long and don't want to spend a lot of money. I've played for about 3 months and yesterday i spent 8 fragile resin to keep getting boss drops to get one character to level 90. My other option would have been to only use the daily free resin but that would take a week or so and I wouldn't be able to domains or anything else.

    Lv100 with a new passive talent could be absolutely massive for certain underused characters

      And make overused characters even more broken... that talk of "making weaker characters stronger thruu x system" is always a falacy, because what will truly happen is the stronger characters will get stronger and the new characters that release will be even more broken since they will take into consideration that new lvl 100 system

      @@wugira76passive talent doesn't have to be good though. For example Cyno at lvl 100 now can swap out and won't lose ultimate like Noell while Furina at lvl 100 she has more +100 DEF. Not a fancy example but my point is the ones that already broken doesn't have to get a GOOD buff from lvl 100 passive. Just to fix those are suck

    if it's only to push more farming a.k.a you're character gonna be stronger from 90-100 but enemy does too, eh i dont think it is necessary just another hassle. But if unlocking 100 means let's say every character have one more passive this could HYV use to balance chars.
    For example a passive where Klee having his ult able to dmg off-field but damage cuts in half, or maybe Qiqi new passive so that her E to be able to generate energy on hits plus another utility maybe a buff that grants 5% crit dmg stacks to 5 (since Cryo atk spd buffer we already have MIka, EM and mov speed is c6 Diona) and so on.

    If upon leveling your characters to 100% they receive new passive talent,its hoyo's opportunity to fix weaker characters
    imagine if Xinyan gets talent that makes buliding DEFF on her much more beneficial for her damage,or Qiqi gets a passive which fixes her energy issues or buffs on-fielder based on her max ATK,

    They could just release an item that gives you 1 level per use of that item that you farm weekly etc. Instead of a ton of hero wits lol

    Lvl 100 would only be a buff to transformative reactions. So swirl, aggravate, and spread.
    Basically this is a big buff to anemo, electro, and dendro. While having basically no effect at all on characters of other elements. But because enemies would be way stronger and abyss would be even harder, it would effectively be a nerf for them.
    So if you go to the new world level, your top invested pyro dps for example is gonna perform worse than your top invested dendro character who gets a lot more out of it.
    The only way they could do this well is if lvl 100 is only a MARGINAL increase in both stats and transformative damage. So it doesn’t gain as much as previous levels.
    Because otherwise it’s basically just a nerf to non-transformative DPS characters in the meta.

    i think it could be cool if they did it in a way where the new abyss gives you the rewards needed to level up one character to 100 but make this abyss clearable for our current power level but make it more skill intensive.

    New player you mentioned here. 6 months time i completed quests and exploring. Was F2p. Bought 2 welkin moons and a battle pass . Started touching 12th floor end since last two abyss. Now it currently my 7th month. Hope I 36star next month like you said

    I really liked your point at the end: maybe instead of adding levels to the game we add reactions or mechanics. Like Sumeru added Dendro reactions (aside from just burning), Fontaine added health-drain specific characters (I know we already had Hu Tao and Xiao), and maybe Natlan can do something with geo, or we give Anemo + Geo or Anemo + Dendro a reaction, or Cryo + Dendro gets a reactions, are Physical gets some love. We could do more with that instead of just more of the same... but with more HP / damage on enemies because they're a higher level now and so are we but it doesn't change the game really.

    I honestly don't mind more stuff to grind especially with resin, just collecting flowers and local specialties can be a huge pain (although I have thousands lying around of certain easier types, more available ones, but some like kaveh's or cyno's or Alhaitham 's I never go to the desert to farm.. so yeah that's gonna be a nightmare..

      I don't think they're that bad, for an older player. Even for things like Cyno's bugs, I have a bunch laying around because, while I haven't gone farming for them, I do make it a point to pick up ones I see as I'm doing things. And that sort of thing builds up over time. Plus when it initially hits, different people will be working on different characters first, so you'll be able to pillage other people's stuff.
      Now, where it will suck a bit more is if you just get one of those characters, as a new player. Now you'll have to farm enough to go from level 1 to 100.

    Imagine it being locked behind the Pyro Archon lol.
    When Pyro Archon is in the Team all Teammates Level is increase by 10. If the Team consist of 2 Pyro characters (excluding Pyro Archon) all Teammates Elemental Skill, Normal and Burst Talent is increase by 1.
    C1 - Reduce the limit of Pyro Teammates needed by 1.
    C2 - When Pyro Archon ults, team gains a special state, in this state increase the damage of all Pyro releated reactions by x% and for every reaction created, decrease the enemy def by x%, 10 stacks.
    Lock it behind a character's kit and no one will have to worry about farming but only need to gacha more 😂 for the pyro archon. Then those that would complain about the game only getting grindier will then complain the game is getting more pay to win. Its a lose lose situation, but one of them gives Hoyo more profit 😂

    On talents they sometimes have events that add two levels to your talents so that’s how lvl 15 has been achieved in the past but I can see them making it so you can do that out of these events and just automatically have it be the max level. I dread the farming for that tho as you already need so many books

    Started on Dec, hit 3 characters level 90. A handful at level 80.
    Increasing character level to 100 is a bad move. The repetitive resource grind would be so awesome. There isn't any diversity in getting single character resources to increase level. They need to revamp the drop rate, ability to farm various bosses for similar boss materials.
    Talent resource requirements to go up from 8 suck, leveling requirements from 80 to 90 sucks. The content isn't going to mechanically change.
    I would love to see more interesting ways to use older characters though I'm not sure how that works. But hoyo has been pretty clear with the imaginarium that they want more ppl horizontally investing, and 90 - 100 doesn't seem to align with that.

      This is one of my concerns with this as well. Right now, this is still just a rumor and may not even be true, but if they do this, it would necessitate some serious changes to the leveling and advancement system as a whole to balance things.

    Imo if we get new Talents its good because it could make many characters like Dehya or Venti much more viable and it could also make other characters capable of feeling new roles entirely (Kazuha as a great DPS at low constellations for example lol might be a bit late for me but who knows it could help other Kazuha havers to main him if they like him)
    so if it has this its a win win imo but if it doesn’t then I dont care for it

    Unless there’s some sort of OP talent passive or something, I don’t think there’s too much of an incentive for me to go past 90. I probably have not actively farmed books or mora (besides the double drop events) for like 2+ years because of how frequent you get them from events and I only build the characters I like. But I know people that 90 every character with at least +8 all talents and that’s very resource taxing so their artifact quality is all around lower. Hopefully with increased farming reqs they can increase the resin cap.
    An update I would like to see in this same category is a crown like object to attach to weapons to make them go from 90 to 100. Weapons are much more versatile because you can switch them from any of your characters and I am almost capped out on crystals just from events and collecting 20 crystals from the black smith every week. Being f2p or low spender, you’re not aiming to get 5* weapons so frequently so you probably have 5k+ crystals sitting around at all times. Giving 1-2 weapon crowns a patch is manageable for upgrading your current and future weapons.

    If the max character level is going up does that means talent levels are going up as well? And if they are what does that mean for crowned talents? I wonder if they will add a way to earn more crowns on somewhat of a regular basis... perhaps as a reward for clearing the speculated upcoming abyss??

    I hope if this level 100 increase is not just a stat increase. They could use this as an opportunity to make a awkening kind of update for all characters, revamping their abilities or at least moddifying them somewhat, so they could bring back weaker characters

    It would be nice for a world level increase by two one for level 100 the 2nd for a more difficult optional experience that has mobs like floor 12 or a theoretical floor 13

    I wonder how they'll balance around the level 100. Like, there are a lot of discrepancies between monsters in the overworld and in the abyss. However, to the Genshin's develepers' credit, I see their testing with harder monsters with the local legends by the release of Fontaine.
    So maybe they'll make the monsters harder or at least a new world level to compensate the new level limit? Otherwise, they'll make even worse the overworld/abyss discrepancy problem (I know, it's copium).

    I think maybe they balance out the ascension materials. Like make it take a little bit less to get to 90. So that going to 100 isn’t so expensive that people are deterred

    the main problem i see is the resin imo. Genshin ins't that grinding heavy (ignoring the randomized artifacts). But with 160 resin per day there's not an awful lot you can do--

    I am hoping that we use stardust instead of crowns. Bcuz 😭 it takes so much resources to triple crown 1 character. What i think might happen is we get gold talent materials added to domains. So we fuse all the purples to get 1 gold.
    I think the reason why they are also adding Lvl 100. Is so that it makes bosses more relavant, as alot of people 1 shot bosses esp with ( cons, ) genshin might be a weird place if hoyo doesnt implement a balance patch

    What was the mechanic in Inazuma?
    Theres truly no pattern and hoyoverse is one of the most inconsistent companys there is (atleast when it comes to genshin), so I doubt lvl 100 will be the next big thing in natlan.
    Also that lvl 100 "leak" was provided by the same guy who said that arlechino and clorinde were gonna be electro-charged characters and work well with eachother... LMAO

    It only took me about 3.5 months to get to end game and 36 star. So maybe it doesn’t take as long as you think? Or maybe I’m a sweaty gamer

      I (Ryft) tried to give benefit of the doubt and assume bad luck on banners and losing 50/50’s. Me personally, that’s about how long it took me, and I have always had bad luck to this day lol. You can ask Vixen🫠

    Adding another passive talent would be so awesome but I doubt they would release all at once. Maybe they would?
    I feel like these would be cool if they were unique for each character but I feel like if these talents would be added, they would be relatively generalized.

    When dendro was added, burn was nerfed to account for players having access to dendro. The reason I mention this? Don't assume that the dendro reactions will go nuts. They were released to be competitive to Vaporize/Melt. Dendro reactions won't be allowed to blow Vape/Melt away now. Same goes for swirl. Hoyoverse can pick what the numbers are for those things. And that sort of thing applies to other stuff, like the level up stat as well.
    The bigger issue I see is the scaling of the world. Generally speaking, access to higher ascensions requires a certain level of AR and unlocking new WLs. In this case, I can't see access to this being given at a point higher than AR55, as that's the point at which the amount of AR xp required per level really ramps up. But as it is, open world exploration is already trivial at WL8 for a mature account. And so are domains. And the Abyss. And while Hoyoverse doesn't want these things to "cause anxiety", there are limits to that. And so with 10 more levels, we'll need an increase in WLs. We'll need more drops from ascension mat bosses, because 2-3 when it already can take 400 resin (given how some bosses almost always drop 2) to ascend to 80/90... not ideal. Domains will be even more trivial, and with the amount of talent books likely going up, will need increased drop rates there. And so on. Adding a new tier to a good chunk of the domains, that seems like more effort than Hoyoverse would be willing to put in, especially when releasing a new area and lots of new quests at the same time.
    That said, personally, I'm not going to worry about it, one way or the other. This is Genshin. Hoyoverse wants to avoid getting into trouble with the CCP by making it something players spend hours on daily. They want it to be super casual friendly. So they won't make it too grindy, probably. If it is even happening at all.

    About it being planned a long time ago checks out because Hoyoverse plans things SOO far ahead I mean look at the dendro element we got that like 2 years into the game and it was there from the start

    I dont think this will be good for early and a lot of f2p player's since most f2ps struggle to level all the characters they want to.
    Assuming the difference percentage wise is the same between a level 80 character and and level 90. There will likely be a new material required probably only aquired through a weekly boss to time gate everyone where you have to beat a boss that higher than the 90 ones we have now

    I dont think the ascension to 91 will be the same as it is right now. It might be new materials or a exlusive event that you need to do. If they stick to the old way of leveling it would be too time consuming and against chinese party regulations for gaming.

    I mean if they're really going to increase the lvl cap to 100 wouldn't that resin increase be plausible now or at least make it easier to get your characters to 90? and if the world lvl increases and AR goes to 65 or 70 maybe make it easier to get to AR 60 from 50, increase all other rewards and also guaranteed 3 boss drops from the overworld and weekly bosses, im already max lvl so I'm good with whatever they do🥂

    Considering the amount of resources that we need to farm to upgrade chars to lv.100, I think they should increase the resin cap to 200 or even 240 but I get the feeling that it ain't gonna happen.

      I reckon we'll get a WL increase or two to go with it, which would lead to a bit better drops from the ascension bosses. It will, though, most likely still be worse than the level 80 ascension is currently.

    Level 100 would be pay only. I've been FTP (except for Welkin and Battle Pass) playing at least 2 hours a day for the last 2 years, and I can't even get my characters to 90, or my artifacts to 20.
    My thought/hope is that they simply increase the talent cap by 2 - that's already there in texts.

    We need more hard content and some changes in characters kits (some rlly need)
    u can clear genshin in a month and beat the abyss as a new player that never ever played genshin before in 2 and half months (maybe faster if u get lucky and dont lose all 50/50 :') )
    and i am talking from experience bcs thats what i did and while i cant call myself "casual" i am also not hardcore,
    most casual dont even try 12the abyss or dont even go there like some of my friends that play genshin as casuals some dont even try to beat the 8the floor bcs they just dont care so,
    is it rlly bad that they add more options for more difficulty content with the new abyss (if its even going to be a thing, have my doubts) and lvl 100+ mobs,
    also i think they need to buff somehow the main dps's (not dentro) and some sub dps's (with new talent or something like that, as far as i know they dont balance there characters so i hope they at least add something to weak characters)
    bcs rn u can just make bloom team and clear one half easy, in a week or so... thats waay to easy for the "end game" content if we even can call the abyss end game o=o
    EDIT: also if they gonna add new lvls and so on we need other materials to lvl up bcs the game doesnt give u even near enough to lvl 2 teams to lvl 90 (in fact i have only 2 characters lvl 90 bcs its soooo expensive in both the books for lvl and mora, like i have 0 mora (or near 0) most of the time)

    A solution for boring grind and lack of anything to do after spending resin is lvl 100, with double the boring grind and even less value for daily resin. Terrible.

    i really dont see an issue of this at all. dont wanna farm for it? is it a waste of resin? ok then dont do it lol some ppl have played since launch and have nothingggggggggg to farm for anymore, i see this as a thing that u can do for ur faves bc u want ur main to be 100, idk why ppl are making this such a big deal its truly not very deep. end game players NEED more content like this (more world levels for example, hopefully more boss drops!)

    They should make lvl 100 thing rare as fuck.
    Indroduce a monthly boss or a boss that can only be challenged per patch. So the material we get from it is ultra rare and we can lvl 100 a character per month/patch.
    Lvl 100 should unlock more talent levels and give that character a buff just like constellations that either fixes their playstyle or buffs their overall power to adjust them to meta.

    There is no "positive change" that can come with increasing the level cap to 100. Let alone assuming it would require an ascension.
    Artifacts are 95% of any veteran's time with the game. Leveling characters to a "playable" level is the absolute worst part of the game because it's a massive wall to climb over, and it repeats every time with EVERY new character. There has been nothing to ease the unbearable character grind, from day 1 to now it's still a mindnumbingly dull process. Collecting ascension materials in the world over the course of a week (or invading 10 strangers), killing the same boss ten billion times over the course of one week, entire WEEKS of talent book farming for ONE talent level, halting your artifact grinding for mora or xp. And finally after all that you're allowed to throw yourself back into rng hell. All for a single character.
    What are they gonna do? They are already increasing the resin cap to a pathetic 200 max with no overflow. So that won't be it. Will there be no ascension? So we're just farming mora and xp leylines like maniacs for 10 more levels? What the hell could they possibly even do to make this potential level cap change even remotely close to bearable? I don't even know what type of audience (besides hardcore grinders i guess????) would even enjoy such a change. Fundamentally nothing would change, it'd just make maxing out your character's basic things an even bigger waste of time than it already is.
    For the honest to god health of the game, I wish this leak is a complete fake, because it cannot and will not be a good change.

    Childe won't get anyone to 14. The normal attack is the only talent affected, which doesn't benefit from constellations.

      With Fontaine, several characters reliant on normal/charged attacks get +3 to normal/charged attacks instead of E or Burst.

    I'm not sure how solid the rumor/leak is, but I feel like it would be so wonky since the game and the scale of everything has been build on a cap at lvl 90
    And we still have no transmuting system for Boss drops
    The only way they could implement it is by increasing the supply of materials (or lowering their price), otherwise the experience for players would be bad, because farming for a whole week (or more) to JUST ascend and level up a single character would be unenjoyable for most players

    I have some thoughts about this myself (When I write this comment Ive only watched 2mins but Im going to share it anyway):
    Mentally, lvl 90 sounds stronger than lvl 100. 90 is an odd number, 100 is not. Lvl 90 sounds like you are powerful, 100 is "top of the world".-
