I really hope but doubt that Peacock will have true 24 hour coverage. Last year they still played ads and commercials even with Premium. Hopefully they would just use still cameras and mics during breaks but we shall see
It has been confirmed that they will offer every hour of racing on peacock! nbcsportsgrouppressbox.com/2024/01/16/nbc-sports-to-present-90-hours-of-2024-imsa-weathertech-sportscar-championship-coverage-across-nbc-peacock-and-usa-network/
One of the things that drove me crazy last year was that Peacock would go to an ad while the broadcast was still live on the network. Made no sense at all.
I've been going to this race for about 10 yrs now. The cool/cold crisp night (bring a jacket if you've never been) and lighting on the cars makes for a spectacular display as they navigate the course. Then getting back there early AM after a couple hours nap to see who's left and then the final shootout. For the past few years this has been amazing. Having run 24 hrs and the race still comes down to a dog fight of just seconds or less than. If you haven't been, you need to go...beautiful cars (not just the racers), great people (especially the infield campers), good food and plenty of drink.
@@offintheesses Just a quick note, ...viewing of the night action is quite vivid from the grandstand area. You'll be doing a lot of walking, so comfort is king on the feet as you traverse the tunnel entrances back and forth. If you see a white pin striped Gas Monkey Garage button up, that'll be me, I have no affiliation with them, just like the shirt. Say hi, maybe we'll get a beer.
I don't have an issue with the LeMans chicane name but I can't help but feel the LeMans Bus Stop would have been a brilliant blend of the traditional name and the link to the 24 Hours of LeMans.
Yeah I think it's just going to take some time to get used to! Kind of like when a stadium changes their name I think in a few years we'll see it more widely called the Le Mans chicane or just Le Mans!
I only got into motorsports around a year ago, and I watched the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but this will be my first live watch of the Daytona 24. Thanks for the video. Also, I have that same shirt! Rexy my beloved
Hey Bryan I will be there! If you see me say hi! Also I'm Stu! Jamey Price is a photographer that I get some images from which is why you see his name at points in the video!!!
Nope not at all! The new car doesn't seem to be as competitive as the previous generation but it was also a brand new car last year! Despite that you still see them winning races all over the world and they did pick up a couple of victories in IMSA last year!

They say that but they throw 3 minutes of commercials in every 5 mins@@offintheesses

Got rid of 2022 & 2023 IMSA races
Woahh where did you get that shirt!

This will be my first time going this year and I can't wait! Should be a great week!

@@Normandy1944 Noted! Yeah if I spot you I will say hi!
the mx-5 cup race 1 before the 24h 2023 had one of the most exciting final laps i’ve seen…
yeah that was a good one! Can't wait to see what's in store for us this year!

I just call it LeMans, not chicane, not bus stop. It just rolls off the tongue so nice dropping the last part and calling it LeMans.

Great little summary, thanks for that!
You're welcome! Hopefully it was helpful!
The Rolex 24 is my favorite race. It combines Daytona and endurance racing.
Can't ask for much more than that!

Hope you enjoy the race!!
Rexy is awesome, looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish in GTD PRO this year!
I always wait for content on his channel. Luv it!
Ayyy thanks for the kind words, glad you're enjoying it!
Thanks Jamey - hope to see you there! - Bryan, Toronto

Oh I was going to ask how long the race is, but you covered that with the picture so thanks!
Great Channel. I loved the Entry List report for the 2024 Rolex.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you're enjoying it!!!
going to the rolex my first time super excited! go WTR!
This will be my first one as well, should be a great week!
I’m so excited
It's almost time to kickoff the season!!!
I’m planning to do an all nighter
I thought about doing that but I think I will try and grab a few hours of sleep in car so I am not useless the following day haha
Do you know the scanner frequencies for the event?
It hasn't been updated since last year but perhaps this will help a bit! wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/IMSA_Weathertech
Go Iron Dames!
Helio Castroneves is driving this 2024 Rolex ? For which team ? I thought Meyer Shank left and was out ?
You're 100% right I had just assumed that he was going to be on the grid completely forgetting that MSR aren't in the race! Whoopsie!
Do you the 911 is loosing its popularity in GT racing ? They don't seem to be as competitive as they used too

Rolex 24 isn't one of the crown jewels. It's Monaco F1, LeMans 24, and Indy 500.
Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona are the triple crown races of *endurance* racing. The ones you named are racing overall.
Where is the dodge cars 😅
helio will not go for his forth straight win
Yes you are 100% right! I had a brain fart that MSR would be on the grid again this year and never caught it when I was editing it!
