This was an excellent tutorial. I was getting really frustrated with my machine getting oil all over my fabric, and your video saved the day. I am eternally grateful! Thanks!
Hi Steve. Thank you so much for great informative videos and respond on my privies questions regarding the size of the screws for the edge guide. You are a nice guy.
Thank you for this video. I think I oiled my machine too much and oil is getting on my vinyl when sewing and on my bobbin case. I will try this. Your the best Steve!
Thank you so much Steve for this video. I had the same problem and with this video, I was able to adjust. wound two bobbins and it was still putting out a lot of oil. I readjusted again and think I have it this time. After a while of sewing, I’ll see if I screwed it out far enough. I These videos are really a great help. Thanks again.
This was a little late for me. I bought a new Thor clone and it had this problem out of the box. The dealer replaced it and delivered the new one 200 miles to do it. I wish they knew about this adjustment. I ruined a lot of leather because the oil would accumulate on the underside of the plate and migrate to and through the feed dog opening and soak the leather. It would also get picked up by the top thread and soak the top of the leather. I only filled the new machine half full and it seems to be better but there is still a film of oil on the plate. I’m going to adjust the screw and see if that will stop it. It only showed up after (quickly) winding a bobbin and not while slow stitching leather. Thanks for the excellent video.
Hi Steve. I've just recently bought a used Juki 1541. It needs some serious TLC, but your excellent 1541 tutorials have helped me immensley. There is one problem that I can't figure out . The machine seems to have a large hole right under the bobbin case from which the oil tank just completely empties into the the reservoir cage especially when sewing. Would this tutorial be a solution to that? Thanks for all your tutorials. I'm in Canada and unable to get help like you provide.
