  • The date that is listed in the Collins Family History as the date that Josette will die has come. While Natalie tries to keep her safe, Angelique imitates Barnabas' voice and tells Josette that he has found the ring and that Josette should come to Widow's Hill. At Widow's Hill, Angelique shows Josette what she will look like if she shares an eternity with Barnabas.

    I totally love the spirit of the person/people making these clips. Perfect snapshots of the series and makes me feel like I too ran home from school to catch the show on ABC. I was too young for that, but these clips just take me somewhere. Thanks from Indiana ;)

    Angelique is really pulling out all the stops on this one. Curses Barnabas to live a miserable existence at night only and now claims another victim at widows hill, Josette.
    My DVD cover #6 shows Josette baring her fangs.

    I loved the tail end of this video as you can see Millicent's mind beginning to break and Nancy Barrett plays it so brilliantly.

      Nancy is one heck of a tremendous actress and she puts her excellence in her other roles going back in time in addition to her main role as Carolyn.

    In the earlier episodes people were talking about Barnabas and Julia loving each other (before the 1795 episodes). Now that the past is known, despite whatever changes Vicky made to it, we know that Barnabas never did really love Julia. Because of the curse, Julia would have had to die if Barnabas loved her.

      People weren't talking about B and Julia loving each other. They were Never more than platonic friends.

    A storm is coming? There is no moon? Surely you jest, such things don’t happen in Collinsport!

    Barnabas has lost Josette. He still underestimates Angelique.
    My question is why didn't Ben warn Barnabas that Angelique appeared in ghost form after he left? Was he afraid that Angelique would have made him mute? Actually, she is capable of doing anything from beyond the grave.
    Angelique won't let Barnabas have Josette and she won't let him try and destroy himself. By now, he's definitely wishing he never laid eyes on the blonde maidservant in Martinique.
    Sounds like Abigail has been working on Joshua pretty well. Now even he is using the words the powers of darkness. Poor Naomi, I'm sure she considered Josette as much a daughter as Sarah had been, and no doubt Josette's demise has affected her just as much as Sarah's did.

      Ben will be struck mute if he mentions Angelique in any way that would incriminate her. That's why he couldn't tell Barnabas about Angelique. Poor Ben is torn between obeying Angelique and/or Barnabas.

    Is there still a DS festival in NY every year? Id love to attend....feel spooky, and buy merch

      They switch. Usually held in New York, when it comes to big anniversaries or special events, like this year's Lara Parker Remembrance and Jonathan Frid's Centennial Birthday Year (he would have turned 100 in December), they are held in the Los Angeles area.

    How come Barnabas didn’t use his powers to tell Josette to come to him instead of Widow's hill?

    • @bruce8808
      @bruce8808 Місяць тому +2

      There is a very good point to your question Melodie. At this point Barnabas is having a hard time figuring out what move Angelique is going to make, next. She keeps one upping him.

    • @luminiferous1960
      @luminiferous1960 Місяць тому +4

      Yes, and on Widows Hill, how did Josette break free of Barnabas' grip with his vampire strength? Barnabas could have easily dragged her from the edge and turned her right then and there.
      Back at the mausoleum, why didn't Barnabas use his power to teleport to go to Collinwood when Angelique closed the gate against him?
      Why did Aunt Natalie leave Josette alone to go get Riggs to come and close the bedroom door? Why would she care more about closing that door than keeping constant tabs on Josette?
      If you are looking for logical consistency, DS is not the place you'll find it. If you are looking for an entertaining romp through horror lore, DS is the place you'll find that.

      @@luminiferous1960 Barnabas sees Josette as his delicate flower, he truly loved her so he handled her with great care thus enabling her escape. As for the mausoleum scene, I think Angelique is just that powerful magically and supernaturally that she could, at least for the time, prevent Barnabas from teleporting out of there.

    • @luminiferous1960
      @luminiferous1960 Місяць тому +2

      @@markfinney7387 But Angelique wasn't powerful enough to prevent him from killing her when she tried to stake him? In that scene Barnabas said she had no power over him now that he had powers of his own. I don't think your theory holds water.
      As for the scene with Josette on Widows Hill, Barnabas could have been handling her lightly, but tightened his grip when she tried to escape not only for his own plans for her, but also for her safety, especially since they were so near the edge of the cliff. Plus, Barnabas had already resolved to kill her and bring her back as a vampire when he went to Widows Hill, which is no way to treat her if he really loved her and was concerned for her, just as Ben had said to him earlier.
