I’m really glad to have found these. I just found out about Lara Parker’s passing. She truly did her job well in creating a terrifying, compelling, memorable, and eventually tragic character. Thank you for sharing pieces of her to fondly remember her by along with so many others. 🤍🕊
When Angelique told Barnabas that Victoria Winters was a witch, I said to myself, "It takes one to know one!" I think there may be two witches in Collins House. Angelique, is a practicing witch, and Josette has cast a spell of love on Barnabas, as he still loves her, even though she hurt him by marrying Jeremiah. In a way Josette is a witch. The most evil witch is, of course, Angelique. She picks on small children! This is a sad story, but a gripping one! ~Janet in Canada
Now Angelique is flirting with Barnabas. Barnabas adamantly & vehemently refuses to believe that Victoria Winters is a witch. She is wrongly accused. Then, Barnabas tells Angelique that he still loves Josette. Then Angelique got upset & used a voodoo doll to make his sister Sarah suffer pains in her body. Then, Angelique always keeps pressuring Barnabas to be his wife and she pulled the pins off that doll so Sarah would be back to normal again.
She is SOOOOOO effed up. Utterly selfish, and her beliefs about love are totally twisted. She didn't love Barnabas. She just wanted to own him. There wouldn't be a story without her, of course, but irl you want to RUN if you encounter it.
There will be in the near future. Unfortunately, Angelique will beat her almost effortlessly. I hated her defeat more than I hated watching Sarah suffer.
No, he wasn't. He only challenged Jeremiah to a duel when he thought that his uncle willingly stole Josette from him. Back in those days, if you had a quarrel with someone you challenged them to a duel. Had it not been for Angelique's spells and curses, Barnabas and his family could have lived in peace and love without any bloodshed.
