It’s so funny… I’m from the U.S., now live in Mexico & learning Spanish. And someone said that if you’re used to Mexican Spanish, Iberian Portuguese will likely sound like Russian, and listening to you, my gosh, it’s so true!!! I don’t hear that when I listen to people from Brazil, but damn! Languages are so fun & weird!! 😂
Congratulations on the move! 🎉 I’m also moving abroad soon, but to Japan for a work exchange. I’m sure my German will slip a bit but it’s a huge opportunity to make big strides in Japanese. ✨ I’ll be looking forward to your vlogs living in Germany! But I, too, am lowkey glad to be getting away from the US for a bit… SIGH.
Yoo that ice cream is fire!! When I was stressed during exam phase I ate a whole container of that exact flavor a day for a week straight 😂 no regrets it’s too good
I must say your portuguese accent is very good. I don't speak any type of portuguese but at the beginning of the video I recognized it. I was kinda surprised because I knew you spoke brazilian. I would really like to learn your reason for making this change.
I loved your vlog ❤ First time whatching you. The thing that got my attention was you speaking two languages simultaneously. I grew up bilingual, my kids now too, and at the begining they really speak in one sentence both languages. This is the natural way. Would love to read a multilingual book one day 😊
It is a matter of culture for filipinos to mix languages and then just call the composite language filipino (now there is also a an official "Filipino" = mixed tagalog/english/spanish). It is rare to come across filipinos who can speak strictly in just local dialect or just English. Even court cases and education tend to be multilingual endeavors.
I also do NYT Wordle and connections every day to my morning coffee to wake up easier, haha, so I could basically figure out which day exactly you were filming this from the puzzle you were solving. I loved the vlog. Keep up the good work, Elysse!
in portuguese-br we say *Look do dia* para OOTD (como the viral french family look du jour) também é comum dizer no diminutivo: " olha meu lookinho meninas" em pt de Portugal não sei qual é o jeito mais comum de dizer.
I don't do Wordle, but I do Lingule. It shows you a word and you guess what language it's in. Dictation reminded me of French class. Für Elysse is not to be confused with Für Elise, which I play on banjo or concertina (not both at once).
Hey Elysse, instead of saying zeitkonsumierend for time-consuming you can rather use the words zeitfressend and zeitraubend. Thank you for your amazing content. Lovely greeting from northern Germany
I’m moving to Germany next year from America. I’m trying to learn Brazilian Portuguese, and now I have to learn German too. How do I do it all at once 😭
@@jaydefgjdhf3068 I liked it as a place to visit, but not to live in or maybe even move to, mostly because of the bureaucracy and overcomplication of many things.

Todo sucesso do mundo pra você!
I voted for Trump, so obviously i'm happy with the results and love America all the same (and look forward to a Trump world, haha), but still enjoy your videos :D
I'm glad that I'm from Germany and not the US, because simply existing as the person I am now would be very difficult or impossible, especially in red states. I'm trans and infinitely more happy since the start of me transition, there is no way in hell I'd detransition.
@@etihidalgogarrido8519 I love comments that add no value to the conversation lol. Deciding to transition and be happy was the smartest decision I ever made, trust me when I tell you that I've tried literally everything else there is to try before I came out and guess what, it was the only thing that actually helped me. it sounds like 🥲
😅
Yep she mentioned doing it on instagram
Omg, why😭 but really, didn't she mention the reason?

Falo inglês e agora estou aprendendo alemão, beijos do Brasil
So excited for the move - I love Berlin. Is this a permanent move or like the 3 month tourism visa?
I'm reading Eragon in Spanish right now. I can now talk about dragons in Spanish. Sus escamas eran como piedras preciosos. Jajajaja
Piedras preciosas 😊
I’m Brazilian and also speak (almost) fluently German and I can say for sure that your skills in both languages are close to perfection. Keep going! 🎉

I'd take any developed country with an actual multiparty democracy over the US's fascist oligarchy.
